I mean both Beck and Jade were toxic with each other. Jade was jealous and beck was oblivious to her feelings

My thoughts exactly. I liked this as a teen but was the kiss really called for? He still could have said "Let's not." Honestly what this pilot set up, they went a completely different route after with Tori, Jade and Beck's relationship.

The way Beck just casually kissed Tori says a LOT about his relationship with Jade

it’s crazy how y’all always paint women as the victim. If jade was a guy he’d just be insecure and on top that be physically, emotionally, and mentally abusive. But when a girl is insecure, and all of those things above, it’s the guys fault for not doing so and so.
Look at the keke Palmer situation. Her man voiced his feelings and he was called insecure and controlling. A woman does, it’s the man fault again for not making her feel secure. Y’all act like women are damsels in distress and men are just villains

Beck is the problem. Let’s talk about how once Beck and Jade broke up, Beck started dating the girl he told Jade NOT to worry about their whole relationship. Gaslighting 101! And he kissed Tori in front of Jade and tried to kiss her again in the Tori Goes Platinum episode. And he kept giving girls who were interested in him rides to school…..

To me this always read like a power dynamic that they enjoyed but occasionally found to be too much, like when Beck decided he wanted to date a different type of girl but ultimately realized he preferred his dynamic with Jade.

Although airing dirty laundry in public isn't great, Beck is doing the appropriate thing by communicating his feelings in a straightforward way / without insulting Jade. Saying "I'm not happy with our relationship" is much better than calling Jade names, abusing her, or cheating.

I think the 2nd situation is in fact a red flag from both of them: From Jade for how she treats Beck, and from Beck to let his girlfriend treat him like that... I love Jade. Honestly, I can understand why she was mean to people and why she shut everybody out. Her dad never paid any attention to her and hated the career choice she had. Jade could never do anything right in her dad's eyes. I understand that doesn't change how she was a bully, but you have to take into context how she was treated at home. Beck did things just to make Jade mad. Beck was the only stable thing in Jades life, that's why she was so possessive. She didn't want to lose beck, because if she lost him, she lost the only stability in her life. I have very strong feelings about this. Thank you for your time💀

jade and beck were both toxic but they were also the ones who were perfect for each other and they knew it. jade was jealous and controlling and couldn’t control her anger and beck was oblivious to that because he didn’t realise things that he thought were fine jade thought were not. i liked how they clicked though. he knew how to deal with her anger he knew how to get her to be nice to people and calm her down when she was upset.
