That was my favorite part too. My family treats me in a similar way to how the Featheringtons treat Penelope and Colin standing up for her like that....it made me cry.
This one is absolutely my favourite as well. I just feel like even some of the best Bridgerton stories kinda fall a bit flat at the end while this one just keeps building. The relationship is so wonderful and the way the Lady Whistledown reveal plays out at the end is just lovely! The support Penelope gets from Colin, Anthony, the whole family, even Simon when they all clap for her... It's such a high point in the series and Colin Bridgerton is just so genuine, real and profoundly good it makes my heart melt. Pen deserved no less.
I love how passionate you are about these books, whether they make you angry or happy. I like Colin best of all the brothers ( I think, I’ve only just started Gregory’s book). My problem I think with all Julia’s male characters, is when they get angry their cruelty is disproportionate and not in keeping with the personality that has been built in the rest of the book. I have just finished Hyacinth’s book and can’t wait for your review.
Hi Jenn, I love your channel. I’m reading the Bridgerton series for the first time right now, and I’ve enjoyed all of your reading vlogs for each book. This one took me by surprise, as I had heard it’s more of a slow and steady pace. But watching Colin slowly start to see Penelope with new eyes and just how loving and sweet he was with her once he does was so beautiful. Like you mentioned, I loved the fact that he fell in love with someone who was right in front of him the whole time, recognizing the beauty that was always there. I think a lot of us can resonate with this. I’m excited to read the rest of the series. Keep up the great work!
This was by far my favorite couple and I like the twist with Penelope, for the most part. You just root for Penelope so much, since the first book and Colin I think was always my favorite of the Bridgerton men. (So far haven't gotten to Gregory yet.) The only thing I slightly disliked was that there didn't seem to be as much 'romancing,' as I would have liked. It was more about Penelope's character growth and Colin coming into his own. Which is great don't get me wrong, but just seemed a little... misleading. Overall, these two are my favorite couple, but I think I still like 'The Viscount Who Loved,' best. I just love Kate's sarcasm and wit and her banter with Anthony. And I think the steam is a little more evenly distributed, but that's just me.
this is the only book I listened to on audiobook of the series so far after watching the 1st season of the netflix show. I hope they do this book, this couple justice. Colin and Penelope have a caring, supportive, and beautiful love story
I also too love this book so much. I’ve read it multiple times. I am a sucker for a good friends to lovers story. Plus, I agree, they make each other better and show that when you truly get to know someone and connect with them that’s when you love the real person not just having a crush. Also love that they are both writers so they connect on that level too, that form of expressing themselves in writing. Absolutely love this book and love Colin and Penelope as a romantic pair.
Jenn Have you heard the news?! Polin is the focus of Season 3. Nicola says her & Luke have been talking to new Showrunner. She talked them through their season & she says book fans will be happy. They knew S3 was going to be their season since two weeks into filming season 2.
For the Lady Wistledown mystery, i suspected either Eloise or Penelope early on, but at the end of An offer from a gentleman when Sophie got arrested and the Bridgertons learn it through the colums of Lady Wistledown I was pretty sure it wasn't a Bridgerton because it would have been too cruel, they all liked her and they knew there was something between her and Benedict don't it couldn't be Eloise (I'll admitt that I still had doubts with some of the thing that happens because I wasn't sure at 100% haha but I really hoped not because it would have affected my vision of Eloise :) )so I was pretty convinced it was Penelope at the beginning of the book!
It’s my first favourite book of the series I have audiobooks on Bridgerton I give it 5/5 stars and I’m can’t wait to see their season . My favourite part is Colin realise he loves her and he is so jealous of her
I've only read the first one and it's been about 2 years now. I can't believe it took them eleven years to get there? You mean to tell me she loved him from afar that long?!
Hyacinth's story is my next favourite one..I just couldn't get the courage to read about Francesca's story..I do read a lot of dark books but I couldn't just never come up with the courage to read about her 🤷 but can't wait for it's in his kiss😉
Had to find a refresher since I hadn’t read these since I was like 16 or 17 years old. I remember that I loved all the Julia Quinn books but I don’t remember the details. I still have the original books that I bought or stole all those years ago. Complete with silver fish.
I thought that it was Eloise and was happy to find out that I was wrong because I like being suprised 😊 I loveee this series but my favorite is still Anthony book❤❤❤
I love all of the Bridgerton books so much but I don’t like how the men always seem to irrationally become angry and sometimes physical with their partners 🤷🏻♀️ I just feel like it’s out of character for them. But other than that I always enjoy these stories and I especially related to Penelope as a character.
My favorite part of this book is Colin VS the Featheringtons lol
He gets so righteously angry. I love it.
That was my favorite part too. My family treats me in a similar way to how the Featheringtons treat Penelope and Colin standing up for her like that....it made me cry.
@@livy_colors I love it so much I feel bad for Penelope , I just don’t like her family

Thank you! Yes, I agree. They get more cruel than necessary. Can't wait to keep going.

Oh that's such a nice blog, love to see a little bit of your live in the footage and also your happy tears for Colin and Penelope ❤️

I don't blame you for tearing up, this story was so beautiful!
