Seriously though, I learned this song as a kid and never thought much of it at the time. I think we accordion players just learned it because it was something that any self-respecting accordion player was "supposed" to know. I think it's safe to retire the song at this point... but not before my final tribute to the chicken dance!

As a musician that played accordion four years (8-12 years old), this video made me realize how upset I am that my parents required I give-up accordion when I wanted to play guitar too (only allowed to have one or the other). Just for that I’m going to buy one now and learn this song. I realize I can play it on my synth, but nothing says “I love music” quite like an old squeeze-box.
BTW: The way to make a lot of money with an accordion is to play for free and charge $100 to stop (for five minutes). We’re going to be rich Bro. 😎
