Dark Deception CH4 was suppose to come out by the end of 2020, then it got pushed back to January of 2021 until it got pushed back another 8 months. Awfully familiar to what's going on now.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we get a repeat of what happened to chapter 4. It’s such a shame too since I think the game is really cool but I find it hard to support the devs because so far, every single chapter has been met with significant delay before it’s release, not to mention their poor communication with the fan base. I understand that they’re an indie company but they should still at least give us a better insight into what they’re actually doing with their time, which is something that concerns me because chapter 4 released with game breaking bugs despite it being under development for just over 3 years.

@an-na7204 to me it always sounds like they just have way too many projects going on when they should put their focus on the main game.
I know they've said the other games don't delay it at all but I highly doubt that since any time spent on those could've been spent on the main game.
I don't fault them for wanting to work on other projects but it just feels like they're doing too much when their focus should be on the main game people want and paid for.

Yeah ill admit the delays are a bit much even for game dev but at this point im happy that the game will eventually drop and as long as the bugs are gone
I’m still excited because I think the concept of a Holiday Theme which isn’t likely going to be in January is a great way for DD Chapter 5, I like to see different types of levels with great detail, I may be desperate for it now, but I would gladly want more creative looks, Quality>Speed by far

Considering chapter 5 might be 1/3 longer of chapter 4 and given the absurd number of delays surounding every single of their project i highly doubt we ll get it in early 2025. I think we ll get it next summer at the least and autumn or winter at most.

Just realised this is the first time I've seen you in one of your videos.

Also i wish vince took the same approach as chapter 4 because ik he wants to keep the element of surprise but its hard to he excited when its been TWO years and we got A SINGLE in game teaser. With chapter 4 we got more teasers but there still was an element of surprise. I wish we got a few less teasers of chapter 5 but completely avoid story spoilers and most of the mechanics. (Although some very few of the mechanics are ok to be shown imo)
I understand that games take time but jeez this must be one insane finale… almost 3 years 🤣
I’m wondering if they did a revamp to some of the other chapters in that time and added more details in some of the older levels 🤔

I mean he's almost done with it, he just needs to put the chapter together into playable form. Plus he's going to release to levels at a time. Btw why do you not trust Vince so about the release date and demo being showed?
@@AT-rp8zy well chapter 4 took much longer which i get now because they remade chapter 1-3 alongside it
But this is the 3rd or 4th time he told us something along the lines of a release date and the delays keep going and going
Heck he constantly comes up with other projects which further delay the main game's release date one way or another
I dont know if you've been in dark deception for a while now, but things like these have been going on for so long that i honestly lost trust in his words
Im still along for the ride tho, when it releases i'll be here to play it

@@Artizap_ Damn that sucks, that's was kinda the only thing that would have made the wait for chapter 5 shorter. You get to play two really big levels while finding secrets for 3 big zones, plus the only way to play the last two levels is to S rank all 10 levels. Now that's gonna give players a lot of time to start S ranking, which gives players a lot to do during the wait. But I guess that's not happening.
@@glitchezma The thing is, in his live Q and A, the levels are already completed. The team are waiting for all the assets to be completed, like finalizing the voice lines and finishing Dark Star Mocap animations. After that they got to assemble the game into a playable form(adding loading trrigers to take the player to the next zone and adding cutcences in-between levels). Yes I have been in the dark deception community for a while too, and I agree with everything that you said about Glowstick. If you ask me I wish the company can learn to put things on hold like super dark deception and monsters and mortals so they can complete the chapter more quickly, they always do way too much projects for such a small company, like would it hurt you to simply pause the projects, finish the damn chapter then go back to those projects. Sadly 😥 they scraped releasing the two levels at a time because the console versions are set up to take the full chapter not parts. What do you think about those news.

I understand that delays are inevitable sometimes and that video games take a lot of time but bro they re delaying every single one of their projects over and over and for a long time.
