Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah.
With director Patty Jenkins back at the helm and Gal Gadot returning in the title role, “Wonder Woman 1984” is Warner Bros. Pictures’ follow up to the DC Super Hero’s first outing, 2017’s record-breaking “Wonder Woman,” which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office. The film also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as The Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Max Lord, Robin Wright as Antiope, and Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta.
Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot and Stephen Jones are producing the film. Rebecca Steel Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Marianne Jenkins, Geoff Johns, Walter Hamada, Chantal Nong Vo and Wesley Coller are the executive producers.
Patty Jenkins directed from a screenplay she wrote with Geoff Johns & David Callaham, story by Jenkins & Johns, based on characters from DC. Joining the director behind the scenes are several members of her “Wonder Woman” team, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, Oscar-nominated production designer Aline Bonetto (“Amélie”), and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming (“Topsy-Turvy”). Oscar-nominated editor Richard Pearson (“United 93”) is cutting the film. The music is by Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer (“Dunkirk,” “The Lion King”).
Warner Bros. Pictures Presents an Atlas Entertainment/Stone Quarry Production, a Patty Jenkins Film, “Wonder Woman 1984.” Set to open in theaters only in 2D and 3D in select theaters and IMAX, it will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
This film is rated PG-13 for sequences of action and violence.

You can say anything about how bad this movie is, but this trailer is a piece of art. Perfect music, perfect editing, its sells the movie like no other trailer in recent memory. Two years later I still come back to it and have goosebumbs all over by body.

This is legitimately the greatest "trailer to movie quality gap" in history and will likely never be topped. This is without a doubt one of the top ten best trailers ever crafted by mankind, tied to a movie that is downright bad, not just mediocre but a plot hole riddled mess that I honestly don't even want to watch again. If anyone in Hollywood has any brains they'll give the person or people who made this trailer as much work as they can handle because they could probably make Plan 9 from Outer Space look like Casablanca given two minutes and 30 seconds.
Suicide Squad comes close, but yes, this is the absolute king of that quality gap. It doesn't help that I've always loved the original Blue Monday, and this is an amazing remix.

The movie was actually good. It was Kirsten Wig and the terrible Cheetah that let this movie down. If the movie had a better villain and a few extra fight scenes it would have been amazing.

I only click here to see how many more view the Black Widow Trailer had lol. Currently 37 million to 23 million. WW barely has more than Widow got in the first day. This trailer really isn't that good. Maybe you're excited for it, but as somebody who didn't care all that much about the first film, I can tell you that there is nothing special going on here. I hated how it was super 80's... until the mall scene ended, and then - apart from the trying-on-fashions scene - it just could have been set in present day. Even the cold war stuff could have been a different president and/or superpower.

Ahead of their time for sure, like so many other bands. The 80s were futuristic. Listen to the theme to Knight Rider, well ahead of it's time. Some rapper used it in his song, and then Eminem used a Billy Squier song ( The Stroke) in his song Berzerk.
