Do I need experience to get a contractors license in California? How much experience do I need to get a California Contractors License? Do I need a collage degree to get a California Contractors License? Do I need a High School Diploma to get a California Contractors License? @@ContractorLicenseSchool Yeah you got a point, but it's still ironic how some states are more lenient and don't require building permits or licenses and they have pretty peculiar weather as well like Iowa and Missouri but here In California you can't even go over the 500$ limit for materials and labor in any trade despite us being in a housing and labor shortage

By four years of experience, does that mean 4 years of year-round work? For example, if you worked 4 consecutive summers, 6 months of each year part time, does that count as 4 years of experience?

Part time can count. Let’s say you have been working part time, 20 hours a week, for 8 years. That will work
