Very Good Question. The Line AB is Slanted because the points plotted between the the oxygen and hydrocarbon when tests was carried out. If this line is drawn vertical then the portion lying between the slanted line and vertical line would be a portion of non flammability zone.
sir the reply wasnt understood perfectly. can you be a little more clear on what to answer when the question is asked by the surveyor?
What is the minimum percentage of oxygen required for combustion?

Anything above 11% oxygen the point will fall in the shaded portion which will lead to combustion. The shaded portion is the danger zone.
