Nice!. i am right behind you wanting to upgrade my outboard and currently using a Tascam Celesonic with MAudio ProFire ADAT Attached. In theory this would give me 24+ input channels if all talked well with each other. The Tascam and MAudio work quite well currently. Also looking at the SSL Six, but will probably add a pair of Neve flavored pre's as well - If I go this route but it seems hard not too for a project studio to get a big console sould and the summing capability is a great plus! I was looking at the 500adat because I want to continue to use my Apollo as an interface to use some of the plugins but I like that the 500r8 can be expanded to potentially have 16 slots with the 500adat. Hey so I got a couple questions lol. Im trying to jump into the 500 series and get pretty much this exact same set up in a way. I was wondering why you got the 2 ssl( i assume to have stereo mastering) and two of the mojo's. Dont they do similar things? I know the mojo has the cream and thump but I was just wondering what your thought process was when buying so I can make sure I'm doing the right thing lol. A little info on what I'll be doing is just mainly recording and mixing but not bands or drum kits. Mainly one person at a time and I'll be producing everything thru my mpc live or FL studio. I wanted to get The 2 SSL six's with the ultraviolet EQ and then maybe the rupert neve 542 Tape emulation but Im a little confused on if thats a good setup and if I'd be missing anything(like how you got the G compressor also which I also was torn on if I needed to get). Hope thats not a lot to lay on you lol

    • @thirdislandproductions9708

      Hey! not 100% sure what you mean. The cranborne 500r8 is itself an audio interface with its own ad/da conversion. if you wanted expand the channels, you would most likely use an ADAT expander or an interface that has the ability to bypass ad/da conversion.
      If you have an existing interface and want to expand your channels with 500 series, the Cranborne 500ADAT is a good option.

    • @thirdislandproductions9708
      @thirdislandproductions9708  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The latency is low at high sample rates compared to other interfaces below the price range and apparently the clocking and conversion are better than the other high end Interfaces.
