That turned out pretty darn good! I always find everything I need at the Thrift shops. That red hood made the mask really pop! Thanks for another great TH-cam Wednesday!
Unless it goes on a prop, when I have spray painted clothes, they get too stiff. They do make spray paint for clothes at Michaels/Joanns though. Thanks for sharing your thought process on this video.....Awesome costume
most fabrics yes, but a woven sweater will take the paint just fine, since there is so much material inside that didnt get paint it stays really flexible. The leg warmers you can see I only misted as I feared that they would get stuff. luckily they did now.
Two questions, I have done this for zombie cloths, but the cloth ends up very stiff from the paint. No big deal for animated props but for actors how do you CLEAN the cloth (that has been spray painted) and your actors do not complain about the stiff cloth?
thats the magic of woven material as opposed to other types. the spray paint really only hits the outside and all the woven fibers maintain their flexibility because only the outside is painted. Also you have to dry the costume first in the dryer- that heat sets the paint, then you can wash in a washing machine like normal.
2 Questions, aren't you afraid driving around with all those straps and caribeeners smacking you in the back of the head? Also, do you pre wash all that stuff and if not wouldn't you put it on Dammit Rob first? GODZIRRRAAAAHHHH!
"I could use these. Maybe. No, nevermind. Wait, how much are they?" That's a line of thought I am all too familiar with.

always question ideas! and always listen to the defense of the idea. some ides become more solid just by being explained.

Lol, that's no Dammit Rob, that's a "Tony Noooo!"
@@StacyHawkins I would think Dammit Rob be first choice for thrift bin model! Lol
havent been hit in the head yet! the next step for these are going it the dryer to heat set the spray paint- then they can get washed!
I can do this!
Now that I have Allen's process
of course you can do it! go make stuff!
Great!
thanks
