Delightful, thank you for posting this. Exactly a year ago (May 2023 for those coming here in the far distant future) my daughter and I stayed in the Camping Coach at Blue Anchor station - recommended - for a week. Great to sit in the coach having afternoon tea and waving as the steam trains rumble past. Rode the line from Blue Anchor to Bishops Lydeard and back but never went into Minehead - obviously a mistake as my daughter would have spent hours at Readers Halt. Shall have to come back for a second run!
Great video Mike it's nice to see the visiting locos and see them at work. I was away for your previous video but have seen it today as well as this one. Really great start to the spring gala. Thank you both.
I am glad the webcams are visible in Germany. There have been several reports recently that not all are visible outside the UK. How many can you see I wonder? There are two at Minehead, one at Blue Anchor, Williton, Crowcombe and Bishops Lydeard.
Another great video. Great way to spend an hour. I watched an earlier video of yours filming Concorde 's last run. Can you remember the date this was taken? Your videos are of the highest order.
Jessie is a former Llangollen Railway resident engine, and wore Maroon livery. I've had a few rides in her cab in my lifetime. On one occasion, she was disguised as Thomas the Tank Engine. I was allowed to ride in her cab alongside platform 2. The Driver invited me to tug at the whistle chain. "You make the engine sound like an A4," observed the Fireman. Jessie's chime whistle is like that of an A4, only the tone is a bit deeper in pitch.
There was so much activity in this video- very enjoyable. I thought that Jessie had a lot of black sooty smoke but they all use the same coal! Can you explain why the lamps on the front of the train get moved? I noticed that on 2 engines? Thanks Mike!
Its a long established custom where a signalman can recognise just what the approaching train is, especially in the dark, from a light engine to an express.

Great video with so many different steam trains. Thank you, we loved your video! ❤
There certainly was a lot going on!

It has been a good day for the railway.
A very successful steam gala from the WSR. Great coverage from you also Admiral you have been a busy boy over the weekend. Love it. Many thanks.
Yes that's all very true Dave.
Lovely video with all the visiting locomotives. Looks like another great day of the gala we have been looking at the webcams this afternoon.
They are a very appreciated facility, hopefully soon to be increased by two at Watchet.
Ooooh, can you post the website for the cameras please?
@@jeffreycrawley1216 Just enter WSR webcams in TH-cam's rectangular search box.

A hive of activity. Good for the eyes to see. Well done Admiral.
It certainly was. Very memorable!
Lovely the see an engine from my local railway. Jessie 1873.
Its a fine loco. I had not seen it before.
Thanks from Germany. I watched the steam gala by the railcams.

Hi, I watched Blue Anchor, Williton and Crowcombe (and the timetable to see the right moments, haha).
Great video Mike
Thank you Steve.
Hello Mike, great Video 😊
Glad you enjoyed what you saw!
Well Mike you got busy today , every way you turned there was a train , Thank you Clive
Yes that's right Clive. .Very enjoyable!
Been watching all day on and off! What happened to the live camera they had in Minehead?
It's working fine as viewed in the UK. It is located at the signal box which is rather remote from the action at the platforms.
@@ADMIRALSCORNER I get three of them but not the Minehead one, I wonder why?

Concorde's last flight into Filton was on 26 November 2003.

I was surprised at such a grand sounding whistle in a small loco. I like it! Most whistles are not as impressive!
