Cheers Dave, been subscribed to Scalehectic since he started and really like his content. Can't wait for the Advent series and of course Mrs Slotrrs jokes 👍👍👍
Hello, this just popped up on my feed and it caught my eye because of the mug, I happen to live in Maldon myself (Spital Road) I don't know if you have people come around to "play" or whether you prefer your privacy in this internet World but if the former is an option I would be interested in visiting.
I haven't yet, but I have been thinking about hiring that hall opposite the MoP one evening (£15 p/h) and putting a post in the local group for local people to see if there was much local interest, there's another guy Colin out on the Dengie as well, YT doesn't like links but if you put info and then an at and then slotr and then you could add a dot and then uk (don't put a 'co' in there isn't one) then we could type more and youtube won't get upset at this reply hopefully
@ Im more into RC stuff but still have an old Top Gear scalextric set, I don’t know if Colin Bliss in town sells slot cars, I haven’t noticed though, I take it you buy your online?
Well I had my popcorn out for The Good, The Bad and the Ugly but this piece didn't exactly turn out like that ☕☕☕ The one thing I've thought this week is either you or else one of the other UK TH-camrs might like to organise and run a proxy or some 'pimp up and pimp out' or howsoever these things hang these days? It would take some time to spread the word and set the rules but, and to begin with, it's maybe just a concept for a plan for Project 2025 (the antedote 😉). 'Bluesky' thinking. I know they necessarily do this kind of thing a lot in the States but even here in the UK distances between folks can be something of a challenge and I have not heard that this has been attempted or else done here? Maybe one of the UK clubs is the way to go? Whoever does it then it's their category and their rules and if it is, say, build a Sideways Group 5 white kit there may be some concours d'elegance thrown in for good measure too? Given a couple of months then I, for one, would be up to prep something. Maybe a Revo proxy would be the way to go? Oh, and I can tell you from significant personal experience that they have got a lot of coffee in Brasil. More than anywhere else and with 39% of global production for that matter. The vast majority of it is just instant there and there is also filter but I've not seen anyone other than a barista grinding any beans.
So much to unpack there, nice topical references too. A proxy would be good but time consuming, I see the work Harry Wise puts into his. Not sure I've got the time for this, a 1 year old and a proxy. I've always like the "show and go" aspect of that sort of thing... maybe one day, and maybe brass chassis.... oh I don't know... maybe...
Glad to see the Advent is back Thanks.
