Cheers for the shoutout Dave - much appreciated as always. We still try to use some of the old scalextric chicane pieces on event tracks as they look super cool. Would be nice to see a remake on modern track pieces. Hope you manage to get to India - although your road trip sounds exciting.
For the track pieces maybe they don't think there is enough of a market. For the buildings there definitely is. Buildings and scenery work with any brand track. I chose Policar for my track but my scenery is a mix of bought, made, and recycled cardboard.
Happy Thanksgiving to you from an American in Germany! When I got into digital racing I decided to get rid of all of my „classic“ track EXCEPT for the pieces they haven’t made in Sport like the Goodwood Chicane. The only thing I can think of anlog of those older pieces make the cars get really close whereas the current „squeeze“ track the cars only move toward each other maybe 1/4“ or 10 mm …. Maybe they wanted to cut down on crashing? I am sure there are financial aspects as well….
I love Porsche 917Ks, too. I've always thought the car was the epitome of a sports racing car, which is amazing considering the coupe was only competitive for a couple of seasons. I have dreamed of someone like Tamiya releasing a 1:12 or 1:10 kit to usual standards. Back when I was club-racing 1:64 cars, EVERYONE was racing 917s. Congrats on hyping scenery. A track should look like more than a black ribbon on a sheet of plywood. Happy Turke Day !
you're welcome! I'm very interest if you have any ideas for injection molded slot products like buildings or if you'd be able to use pre-existing molds to do re-pops.
@@SlotCarNewsOfficial As you know tooling is expensive and it's hard to recover the cost of the molds. The laser cut guys are doing a great job with the buildings and have no tooling cost. If you know of some pre-existing molds that need to be run you can send me an email about them. Thanks again. 🙂
@@rickrideout i'm going to ask the person I know if the molds have been sold or destroyed yet... I know of a classic brand's mold that might just be available for a piece of scenery.
yes thanks for watching! We still need to do an interview. Next week is going to be hectic for me. So sadly it might have to wait until whatever trip I go on is complete.

@@SlotCarNewsOfficial Sounds interesting. Let me know. Thanks.
My thoughts with resin being heavier it will help with lower center of gravity. I add lead to all of my wood track club cars.
@@Ryan-bx5nk but the body is higher than the chassis. A lightweight body will have a lower center of gravity than a heavy body will.
Thanks for this weeks new Dave, I would love some new track pieces from Scalextric ie hump back bridge. Good luck with your visa.
I'm working on a homeless camp right now on for some scenery.
Prickell speedway
Just spent $531 with Race track scenics. They had a 25% off deal. Might as well get it all.

The hobby is all abouts cars. We need it to be a little more about new track pieces and accessories.
Thanks Dave good stuff. Sorry to hear you are unable to go to your sister's wedding.
I haven’t gotten the final word yet. I’m expecting to be able to talk with the embassy on Monday or Tuesday and plead my case.
