Pls read tower of dawn. It's so good. And I myself am not a huge chaol fan but I was so positively surprised by this. You just have to go into it open minded and stick with it but trust me you won't regret it.
Yeah. I remember picking it up and being like, "Really? A whole book about THIS guy?" But I still read it, and while Chaol still isn't my favorite character, the rest of the book made up for it. I definitely recommend reading this because Kingdom of Ash is a much better read with it under your belt.

You should read Tower of Dawn, if not for Chaol, but for understanding Yrene. Its one of the most beautiful books in the series, you are really missing out.
i reallyyy hope that HBO or Netflix picks this up because it would be so great to see it in a series i hope they can make it like game of thrones (except for the ending ofc) because game of thrones really captured the magnificence of the OG books but then again throne of glass is so fragile because it could go wrong so easily if they don't have the right actors,budget.script just overall mood but i really hope they make it good!!
If they don't invest the money into it the show would just end up kinda cringy with the special effects. I'd rather just have an adult cartoon of the series

there is so much set up for Kingdom of Ash in the Tower of Dawn book. I would not have wanted to read Kingdom of Ash without it. Even if you don't like Chaol as a character, its not just his story really, its His, Yrene, and Nesryn's
As a 12 year old 7th grader who is currently reading Throne of Glass, I prefer reading books towards more mature audiences. BUT WHEN I TELL YOU HOW AWKWARD IT IS CHECKING OUT, my current middle school's librarian literally warned me about "sexual scenes" as she put it and I just stood there. In less than a week when I finished the book and went to get the next in the series she said, "Are your parents okay with you reading this?" AND AGAIN IT WAS SO AWKWARD CUZ MY PARENTS DONT EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH SO I JUST SAID YES (I asked them once I got home and they said they didn't really care as long as I was reading)
I really really want them to make a movie or series off these books (hopefully it'll be on Netflix if ever made as movie or show) but I'm on the second book, so far I love it and will keep reading!!

Yes, they are amazing books! For A Court of Thorns and Roses, book 1 is good, book 2-3 are AMAZING! I know a lot of people were iffy about the novella (book 4), but I personally liked it as well. There is going to be another series that Sarah J. Maas is writing that will be set in the same world focusing on a couple of the important side characters. Book 4 is the bridge between the main series and the next one, and general fun and fluff. Most of the people who didn't like book 4 thought it was going to be more important in terms of progressing the series, but that wasn't the purpose of it. For Throne of Glass, definitely read them! I personally think they get better as they go. The author's recommended order is The Assassin's Blade, Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, Empire of Storms, Tower of Dawn, and then Kingdom of Ash, but I read The Assassin's Blade after Throne of Glass and before Crown of Midnight. Also, Tower of Dawn is super important!!! I know she said in the video that she got on fine without reading it, but there are so many new characters, secrets, details, and general plot points that come back in big ways in Kingdom of Ash. I know this was long, but I hope this helps! Enjoy the books!

I started this series over a month ago, currently on Heir of Fire. Started with Assassins Blade first, as technically that’s the real beginning. Enjoyed both it and Crown of Midnight but Throne of Glass was pretty meh imo. Found Celaena pretty annoying at first but I’m now warming to her. Her big secret you find out at the end of Crown of Midnight was pretty predictable though.

As someone who read the whole series + novella and Tower of Dawn, I have to say I didn't enjoy Tower of Dawn that much at all but had a lot of fun with the Assassin's Blade. However, in my opinion Tower of Dawn is more important to read than TAB. It has so many plot points, character relationships, lore etc, that intertwine in Kingdom of Ash. So if you're a new reader, please do yourself a favor and don't miss out on that!
@TheBookTubeGirl I wish I read it when it was popular, no one ik has ever heard of it and it breaks my heart. They made a prequel to it, which I read prior to reading the series, and I STRONGLY suggest you read it along with the whole series again, there are A LOT of things tied into the prequel. The prequel may have also been the hardest book for me to read, as it broke my heart with one of the characters deaths
Crown of Midnight is my favorite too! The end of it is a mind blower if you don't already know what happens (which I didn't and I have no clue HOW it wasn't spoiled for me.)

I think the prequel should be read before The Throne of Glass (like before you begin the series, not that you have too but helps a lot in the way when you later read the series there will be moments when the MC talks about certain people and their history or experiences, you already know the details.) I personally read the prequel after the series, since I was never a fan of prequels and it could be fun in that way too. I had so many moments of ohh… that was how it happened! oh I remember the MC mentioning that person or that place! Oh they had met before! I also haven’t read The Empire of Storms book since the book is pretty much about one of the other characters not the MC. What I did instead is I found an awesome chapter by chapter summary online and skimped through so I kinda have idea about what went on. The audiobook is awesome too. Edit: If you’re looking for a similar book I highly recommend “Red Queen” series 📚 by Victoria Aveyard!!
I loved the first three or so books but it definitely changed after the first few books in the series and it wasn't the same series I had loved up to that point. Just me? I also loved Chaol and Celeana but I definitely seem to be in the minority with that belief!!

Who else ships Aelin and Rowan so bad that when you get to a chapter not with them in you feel soooo tempted to skip it and only read the chapters with them in? Heir of fire was probably my favorite, Manon is my favorite character haha but the series is one of my favorites since the hunger games! I just found it about a 2 years ago so I got to read them all in about a month aside from KOA, I had to wait for that one lollol I liked ToA minus ALL of Chaol. I know he's a fan favorite but I couldn't stand him!!! This series also got me into A Court of Thorns and Roses. Two fantastic worlds! I just got into reading after the first hunger games movie and I was definitely missing out!!! I also find myself rereading this and ACOTAR a lot, I bought Cresent City but haven't wanted to read it yet because I find myself wishing it was another Thrones sequel lmfao 🤣 thanks for the video!

The author's recommended order is The Assassin's Blade, Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, Empire of Storms, Tower of Dawn, and then Kingdom of Ash, but I read The Assassin's Blade after Throne of Glass and before Crown of Midnight. Also, Tower of Dawn is super important!!! I know she said in the video that she got on fine without reading it, but there are so many new characters, secrets, details, and general plot points that come back in big ways in Kingdom of Ash.

I started this series over a month ago, currently on Heir of Fire. Started with Assassins Blade first, as technically that’s the real beginning. Enjoyed both it and Crown of Midnight but Throne of Glass was pretty meh imo. Found Celaena pretty annoying at first but I’m now warming to her. Her big secret you find out at the end of Crown of Midnight was pretty predictable though.

As someone who read the whole series + novella and Tower of Dawn, I have to say I didn't enjoy Tower of Dawn that much at all but had a lot of fun with the Assassin's Blade. However, in my opinion Tower of Dawn is more important to read than TAB. It has so many plot points, character relationships, lore etc, that intertwine in Kingdom of Ash. So if you're a new reader, please do yourself a favor and don't miss out on that!
@TheBookTubeGirl I wish I read it when it was popular, no one ik has ever heard of it and it breaks my heart. They made a prequel to it, which I read prior to reading the series, and I STRONGLY suggest you read it along with the whole series again, there are A LOT of things tied into the prequel. The prequel may have also been the hardest book for me to read, as it broke my heart with one of the characters deaths
Crown of Midnight is my favorite too! The end of it is a mind blower if you don't already know what happens (which I didn't and I have no clue HOW it wasn't spoiled for me.)

What order would you suggest reading them in? Prequels first? Series order then prequels?
I think the prequel should be read before The Throne of Glass (like before you begin the series, not that you have too but helps a lot in the way when you later read the series there will be moments when the MC talks about certain people and their history or experiences, you already know the details.) I personally read the prequel after the series, since I was never a fan of prequels and it could be fun in that way too. I had so many moments of ohh… that was how it happened! oh I remember the MC mentioning that person or that place! Oh they had met before!
I also haven’t read The Empire of Storms book since the book is pretty much about one of the other characters not the MC. What I did instead is I found an awesome chapter by chapter summary online and skimped through so I kinda have idea about what went on. The audiobook is awesome too.
Edit: If you’re looking for a similar book I highly recommend “Red Queen” series 📚 by Victoria Aveyard!!
I loved the first three or so books but it definitely changed after the first few books in the series and it wasn't the same series I had loved up to that point. Just me? I also loved Chaol and Celeana but I definitely seem to be in the minority with that belief!!

Who else ships Aelin and Rowan so bad that when you get to a chapter not with them in you feel soooo tempted to skip it and only read the chapters with them in? I almost slipped a whole chapter before because of that, and I had to spend 10 minutes staring at my book, convincing myself to just read on... After a few more minutes of reading my favorite Aelin x Rowan pages (ESPECIALLY PAGE 350)!!!

Just finished KOA and Yeesh what a journey
I just started and finished the ToG series on the 2nd week of April and have reread the entire thing twice, Heir of Fire individually 4 times, Queen of Shadows about 3 times and 3 times for KoA as well. There is no other series that will top these books for me AMEN

Heir of fire was probably my favorite, Manon is my favorite character haha but the series is one of my favorites since the hunger games! I just found it about a 2 years ago so I got to read them all in about a month aside from KOA, I had to wait for that one lollol I liked ToA minus ALL of Chaol. I know he's a fan favorite but I couldn't stand him!!! This series also got me into A Court of Thorns and Roses. Two fantastic worlds! I just got into reading after the first hunger games movie and I was definitely missing out!!! I also find myself rereading this and ACOTAR a lot, I bought Cresent City but haven't wanted to read it yet because I find myself wishing it was another Thrones sequel lmfao 🤣 thanks for the video!
