Also even though they have kids of their own I don’t necessarily see them on the channel or that Rachel’s channel has become the family channel. It’s a healthy dynamic about the kids not forced into videos and such! 🙏🏼
Btw, Christopher is correct about flavored oils. They have a strong flavor that gets lost when you cook with it. Also seems to burn easier. I learned the hard way!!

Fell in love with a burger place in Brasil, they had homemade “American burger” sauce and I also found it in the grocery stores there. When I got home I realized it was Mac sauce!

I've made salads with chick peas before and I agree with your comment of the raw texture. I solved that by rinsing them, drying with a paper towel, then cooking in a sautée pan with a little butter until the chicken peas have a little color on them. it makes at the difference.

Yeah, I came to the comments to say the same thing. It was in a video about things about her that were on the internet, I think. And she said that it sounded good, but that no, she'd never had that salad before herself.
Christopher is me every time I'm making a new recipe. The recipe says to do something a certain way, but I have a specific way I like to do it "but do I have to?"
I honestly don't even need to know the celebrities to thoroughly enjoy watching your testing and occasional improving of recipes ❤️ Also, whenever there's a Friends reference, I'm all in! As for the pizza toast, I'm thinking swap the pasta sauce out for some pesto maybe? It wouldn't just add colour... 🤔

In the US Midwest, there’s a fast food place called Culver’s and they’re known for their butter burgers which are literally smash burgers cooked with butter

I actually just read an interview of hers the other day when she said it's kind of an urban legend that she ate this every day. She said that it sounds good, but the one she actually ate was much more similar to a basic cobb salad.
I didn’t see this from Jennifer, but either way the version I saw had bulgur instead of quinoa and no dressing. I’ve made it but can’t go with no dressing at all. Did lemon and olive oil and it was delish. Quinoa is great, but I like the texture and benefits of bulgur even more. If Jennifer was eating a true Cobb every day, I’m not sure she’d lean out like she did on the show. Happy to hear either way that she likely didn’t eat the same thing everyday for 10 years as that sounds a little like disordered eating.
My favorite part is when Christopher, I don't know if I'm spelling that correctly, corrects how they cook things. That's by far my favorite part! Not that I don't enjoy other things but like that literally makes me giggle every time!
I make “normal person” pizza toast pretty regularly. 🤣 wheat bread, Prego sauce, mozzarella, spices. Yum! I will occasionally add meatballs if I want it as a lunch option instead of just…toast. 👏🏼

I really appreciate how critical you guys are based on your notes after trying the foods, like I feel like I can trust your opinions. Especially after Christopher's objection to adding water to those onions and the butter and Worcestershire to the beef lol 😂🙏🏼
So butter in ground beef was done by Julia Child in making French hamburgers ( also in burger were sautéed onions, an egg, s/p) she made a sauce with pan drippings to drizzle over un- bunned burgers. I made it and it was very flavorful, moist and delicious. Seeing you r reaction to butter in beef reminded me of mine to this one but the end result was well worth it!

Im a British person and I love listening to Canadians/Americans trying to pronounce Worcestershire 😂 generally it pronounced wuss-ter-sheer. Another fab video

I think Bella was making a dupe for in and out animal fries which have cheese( not always but it american cheese), spread, and grilled onions. They are indulgent and so good. I get spread on the side so I can control the sog.

While on vacation in South Carolina I had a toast with ricotta and strawberries with a drizzle of balsamic. Was tasty and very light, refreshing for a hot summer day. Plus a pizza with Pear on it and drizzled with balsamic. The restaurant was Limoncello if anyone wants to recreate it

I make the Rachel salad all the time, minus red onion (allergic) and it is so good. I can see how she ate it every single day
@Linda Gazzoli (raw) red onion gives me an instant migraine. Other varieties have no effect lol
I agree with Christopher that the pizza bread sounds like it has certain ingredients to make it extra for the sake of it as they are better fresh and loose quality with heat

As a Brit, we pronounce it wuh-ster-sheer. There's some variance depending on where you are in the UK. Worcestershire sauce is one of the things I find funny when other nationalities try to guess how it is pronounced, because English is a very odd and stupid language sometimes

In South Africa we call it Wuss-ster (kinda like woo but less on the “ooh”)
In Mexico we called it English sauce ( salsa inglesa) sooo much easier
That pizza toast just reminds me of an appetizer I grew up with: tomato bread. Bread, butter, garlic parmesan, tomato, topped with mozzarella. Serve it with spaghetti and you can sop up some of the sauce. Although I'm one to make it with most dinners because carbs are life.
i'm the same with the whole eating things over and over again until i'm tired of it. people always find it weird that i just eat the same thing all the time with little to no variety. my parents would always complained about my cooking because of that. i don't have variety, it was just the same thing every day, and they can't eat the same thing every day for every meal. i can, i have no issues with that. i'd rather keep eating the same thing because i'll know i'll like it, won't go to waste and will fill me up. one of the big reasons i don't like trying new foods is because i worry i won't like it and now i'll have wasted money on something i don't like and i feel obligated to finish it, even tho i hate it, because i don't wanna waste it and just throw it out
I am exactly the same with food. Once i find a recipe that I like. I will eat it for all 3 meals for months at end (with very rarely changing it up) with no problem at all. I can see why most people would find it odd or boring but for me personally, it's one less thing that I have to worry about.
@@humanpersonne it just helps reduce a lot of stress. i don't have to worry about what to make for my next meal, i already know what i'm making. i don't have to worry about missing ingredients, because i know what i need and how much it'll last. and it also removes the stress of wasting food and money. i only eat what i know i already like, so i won't be throwing the food in the trash after an unfulfilling meal, and won't have wasted money on ingredients that i threw out and won't use again

The whole time you were talking about the butter in the meat I couldn’t figure out why it would be weird. And then I remembered that’s how Culver’s makes their burgers. I’m from Wisconsin (U.S.A. Mid West) and it’s literally a staple here. If you’re ever in the area, check it out!

Butter burgers are huge in the Midwest. Wisconsin and Illinois have a fast food chain called Culvers that is super well known for their butter burgers and frozen custard :D

Easy (and cheap) pizza bread - mix salsa with grated cheddar. Spread on bread and pop it in the toaster oven. So good.
Great dip recipe too, I have also used cream cheese and salsa on toast ( pretty yum)
You should try the onions with water! Cook with a bit of water to start, let the water evaporatemoff, continue to cook and caramelize the onions. It's oh so much faster.

We order grass fed beef from a farm here in Ontario and I add butter to the ground beef when making my burgers as the grass fed beef has a less fat in it , and it makes a juicer burger 🍔

I’ve seen the chefs on America’s test kitchen add butter when coming up with the recipe for “the best burger”. But they used a few different kinds of meat and ground them up together to get the best flavor and texture and then they added butter into it bc some of the meat they used was kind of lean so the butter was supposed to mimic animal fat and make the burgers richer in flavor and not too dry.

Butter in burgers is pretty common in the mid west (US). There is a restaurant called Culver’s that’s known for their butter burgers.
