- Found these balloon ice cream things in a supermarket geared toward restaurants, but wondering who buys them...surprised in general though, glad I got to try them out. Let's check out this and a few other weird ice cream ideas Japan likes to throw our way!

If you want to experience some weird ass ice cream flavors, there's an ice cream shop at Iwakuni Castle called Shokujidokoro Musashi that has 190 different flavors. Flavors range from downright delicious to things you wish you never knew existed lol. I used to go to the castle occasionally to try out different flavors when I still lived there.
If you ever make a trip out to Hiroshima/Yamaguchi prefectures, make sure you stop by Iwakuni castle amd try the ice cream!
I will definitely check that out, sounds awesome. Iwakuni is on my list for sure, it’s one of those places I need to set as a destination some time or I’ll pass right by it again. Thanks for the recommendation!
@@NomadicGaijin Cherry Blossom season is honestly the best and worst time to go. Worst because you know how crowded places can be with tourists, but best because the entire riverbank around the bridge and castle is absolutely stunning.

Wasabi ice cream is one of my favorites and I usually get it when I visit the wasabi farm in Niigata.
I’ve only ever had it in Izu, I’ll have to try the Niigata one sometime

In Japan can you just go into a Shop for Buisnesses? In Germany you need a Special Card for IT.
