I was stoked to see you had uploaded a 20+ minute video! I especially love these longer dives into a game that you sometimes do, as I feel it gives you more room by which to "breathe" and expound upon your thoughts. Sound design is oft underappreciated, so hearing your exploration into the audio backbone of this wonderful series is a real delight .
I truly appreciate this! I'm glad you enjoy the longer videos! I do plan to incorporate these more regularly. I agree that it allows me to say more of what I feel the video needs.
What if nowhere is some kind of Coraline’s other world situation? Showing the children a new world but as they submit to it they become more twisted and corrupted, the nowhere feeding off of their distorting mental state. :)
I think that makes a lot of sense, actually. Which might even explain while the teenagers she met hadn't changed. They didn't submit to the world, they were just trapped there.
@@pixeljurnee I think the whole situation with Monster Six and the Thin Man play into that theory as well; with monster six willingly being manipulated by her music box and Mono succumbing and giving up to the transmission. That’s probably the point, unless some kind of intervention happens, at which they get locked into the nowhere for good - so possibly Noone would have become some kind of monster herself.
That's interesting because I actually never thought about Six being willingly manipulated. I saw it more as the music box was her only form of comfort and she was drawn to it. But I guess, in a way, that is a form of submission to the world. I hope that they work Noone into the 3rd game in some form, just like they added some of the kids from the comics into the 2nd game (some of them were the shadow children Mono hugged). And see what has become of her/what is left of her after she stepped into the world for the last time.
I wonder if they’ll utilize Noone and/or Jester in 3 or keep them as their own separate story strictly for Sounds of Nightmares. It’s an interesting concept to take a game that relies purely on visuals with no spoken words and have a parallel story in the same universe that relies purely on spoken words and no visuals. Was unaware they’d done something like that and enjoyed your analysis of it with comparisons of what we saw in the games themselves (including the point and click game Very Little Nightmares which I also didn’t know existed until now). Excellently done!
I get the feeling this is more of a fun extra and not a full tie in to the main games. Sorta how the kids in the comics weren't full tie ins (however some of them did appear as sorta ghosts, so they weren't totally neglected).
Love this video 😍 I'd love to hear peoples theories aswell!! My current fav is that the kids don't just become people in the tow (six becomes the bathhouse lady for example) but they become the actual place they inhabit. So for example six becomes a bottomless pit of hunger, one could say a gaping maw. Or Mono, the one who's always alone and watching others becomes the TV tower. Not just the tall man inside. Like maybe that world needs these special kids with physic powers to actually build the world they live in and trap all these adults inside
super nitpicky and not meant to put you down in anyway cause i think you deserve a lot more viewers (which is why im suggesting this) i think the title of your video should just be "Psychology of The Sounds of Nightmares" or something along those lines its stupid but things like that can really help you in the algorithm and get your videos clicked on but as someone who doesnt make youtube videos my input might be worthless either way amazing video you deserve to grow so quickly 🥺i hope this comment doesnt come across as patronizing you in anyway
Not patronizing at all! I'm actually going to make the change. I debated so much on the phrasing, and it's nice to have outside input. I appreciate you pointing that out 🙂
Awww thank you so much! Yes, I have a couple of games in mind that might work well for a longer format and my plan is to have my first true long form video out within the next couple of months. I hope to see you in the comments there!
Is it weird that I’d prefer it if the Nowhere IS the waking world, and NOT a dream realm? It just feels like “it was all a dream” with extra steps…why can’t the world just be naturally fucked up? Why does it have to be another universe accessed by dreaming?
I think that would be an interesting twist if it were the other way around...where she was, essentially, slowly awakening from a dream rather than going deeper into her nightmare. Honestly, it would make a lot of sense if it went this way...I think you might be on to something
@@pixeljurnee that is something I thought about, and I’d also be ok with that, having the nowhere be the dream world just sucks a lot of the fun out of it for me…but what if the “real world” was the nightmare world? Of course that still raises questions, but at least it keeps the majority of the horror/mystery unexplained
I like that it creates even additional mysteries: what is this world? Is this Earth? An alien planet? An alternate universe? Our own world where we are consumed by our own corruption? Where the only safe place is in our dreams? But we can't stay there forever, we have to wake up to confront a horrible reality. That's definitely scarier!
@@pixeljurnee I KNOW! That’s *so* much scarier! Obviously I don’t HATE the Nowhere being a dream realm in canon, but I do think it’s the least interesting route the story/lore could have taken…it’s much more interesting if the Nowhere IS the real world and, either the “real world” is the nightmare realm, or there’s no alternate dream worlds *whatsoever*
I only added those because there were no visuals to the audio podcast. I do not typically use AI "art," but I wanted to see how it worked to fill in the long stretches of their dialogue.
@@pixeljurnee i suggest just using google images and stock photos, or if you have a friend who can draw really well, use their fanart and credit them. Good luck with your channel, i hope it does well.
Ha! I actually did ask a couple of my artistic friends to help me with drawings but, you know, people are busy. But AI is not something I intend to do again. Like you, I'm not a huge AI art fan...I appreciate the feedback though! And I appreciate you watching.
I thought this was going to be easy...I was oh so wrong 🫠
Took me a year to understand what was going on,but after figuring out the entire story, it was worth it
Hi, I love seeing POC creators on YT. I loved your style of video. Keep it up

Little nightmares keeps reeling me back in every year
Thank you so much for explaining the podcasts. It helps me to understand how everything pieces together.
Have now subbed to your channel. 👍🙂
You are so welcome! 🙂
Man I really love that i found this channel!! Do you think you'll ever get involved into longer form content?
Awww thank you so much! Yes, I have a couple of games in mind that might work well for a longer format and my plan is to have my first true long form video out within the next couple of months. I hope to see you in the comments there!
Yesssss🙌🏾 This game is amazing! (I watched both games on yt). Thank you for sharing this great video🥰
Thank you so much!

In my head now this is EXACTLY the way this world works! *this is the way*
The long neck lady was so scary
She always creeped me out!
AAAWWWWWWW!
GUD JOB!!!!
Your on every little nightmare video I see lol
Maybe Nu is Six?
I actually thought about that and it would be pretty cool if she was.
I have actually heard theories that Ottos sister, Cece, is the girl in the yellow raincoat from the Nest in Very Little Nightmares.
Could be a new character or just for the podcast
Good video except for the Ai "art"
