Agreed but not in this environment. I think once mkt cap exceeds $20tn vold would decrease enough for you to borrow against it with minimal liquidation risk
I do the same thing. It used to be real estate and stocks. Now it’s bitcoin and real estate. It’s not semantics as people need to physically hear that.

Shouldn’t you pay taxes either way, like does sending bitcoin to someone else not count as selling the bitcoin? You have to pay taxes everytime you sell of profits, and im sure that buying stuff with bitcoin counts as selling. But then again how can the government know ehen you sell, and even if they can, how can they know the difference between if you have bought something with bitcoin, or you’ve just sent it to another adress of yours?

You should only pay tax on the gain, assuming you paid tax on the money used to make the initial purchase.
Your describing peer to peer. It's a good point because it describes why bitcoin is important. As far as selling bitcoin to buy say a house I'm not sure how that works.

I’m thinking a house seller has to accept Bitcoin. Secondly, the buyer/seller have to make agreement regarding later payments if a mortgage if they decide to do a mortgage…the entire house isn’t purchased

Ooww ❤ so close to being correct… Yes you are suppose to use Bitcoin for “trade” aka buying things. However Bitcoin was created to replace the fiat system. It is foolish to regress to an inferior system furthermore it’s more foolish to assign value to a thing that was created to replace that very thing 😂 I use Bitcoin daily. I get my paychecks in Bitcoin 0.1btc every 2 weeks. I buy my morning coffee n breakfast in BTC I pay my mortgage and bills in BTC. Best of all cuz Bitcoins purchasing power is up vs when I started everything I’m buying is still practically free 100m% in 12 years = free 😂😂😂😂

@@jamesvanderbilt6200 ahh very good question. I hold coin on both breeze and muun wallets as they are both LN. However i have only ever actually used LN on Plebbin. No to buy my coffee pay my mortgage and bills and live daily life i use a Bitcoin debit card 💳 accepted anywhere visa is 👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻

A smart dealership would welcome such a transaction as BTC will go up while that truck will go down. The dealership would end up way ahead over time. How about, instead, you just work with a private seller and offer them bitcoin? Easy.

for now, I agree with you. BTC needs to be easier to use. I bet right after I pass away this will happen. It's always years away, I seem too late or miss opportunities.
