Starring Talya Çelebi and Cenay Türksever, "Gelin" is the life story of two people from entirely different worlds: Hançer, who gives up her dreams for her loved ones on the one hand, and Cihan, who has fire in his eyes on the other.
Hançer, who gets her name from her sharp gaze, faces an offer that will turn her life upside down. Taking advantage of the fact that Hançer is poor and has a family that will not cause trouble, Mukadder offers her to marry her son and give birth to a son. Hançer, who dreams of finding the love of her life and having a happy marriage, first rejects this offer, but when she learns that her brother has a fatal illness, she is forced to accept the offer.

At first I thought this would be an interesting series but I see it is following the same formula as so many others......a young innocent woman suffering from a crew of evil people....a leading man who treats her without any compassion or care....after the young woman has suffered enough the leading man decides he cares for her. Sometimes the evil people receive their due and sometimes they don't. Don't the writers have any original thoughts?

I do not think so, they in fact they ares not interested about te fans from overseas opinions, , first of all, if they did values our opinions the show rating would be much higher & will we would see less of the good series falling apart like it does . I agree with you. Zero original writing in this. The sister in law is over the top annoying. The ex wife living in the house is an outrageous and stupid subplot. The Characters are the same as in other series just a different plot. They would do better if they would write this more closely to what real people would handle this situation instead of over the top evil people. I dont even care if the man gets with the main girl. I dont like him or most of the characters on here.

Pero me imagino que Mukadder quería que fuese de una chica sin hijos y una chica con récord limpio y de casa! Por eso convenció a Beyza de divorciarse de Çihan, para que él se casara de nuevo y seguir con el apellido! Çihan por lo visto es bueno para los negocios, pero en su vida personal, siempre se la ha impuesto la madre, por eso es una persona que no es feliz! Como que repudia todo lo que le rodea, creo que solo es feliz en su trabajo porque son personas que él mismo ha escogido! It’s not about love. Unfortunately, the Turkish populace and art commissioners are only interested in series that show oppressed women. While this family are desperate for an heir, they cannot afford Hancer some respect or be civil towards her.
If only babies could be gained any other way. Instead of idolising Hancer, viewers should be worrying why All this self sacrificing? It’s a common trend in Turkish series.
The world has just been celebrating international women’s day but obviously not Turkey.
Um horror. Sempre o mesmo enredo. A ex fica na mansão e Hancer fica naquela casa horrorosa. Com certeza ele nem vai morar c ela. Novela turca o protagonista sempre é traumatizado com algo. A mulher sempre é submissa. Queria uma Eda empondeirada. Esse enredo cansou.

Folks who are wondering why Cihan is so mean and arrogant to Hancer., who is such a sweet innocent girl......the answer is: Hancer caused the problem herself. Instead of telling Cihan she was marrying him to make her brothers final days peaceful, the WRITER instead, had Hancer tell him she was marrying him for his money...and this sets up the plot of the show... ill treatment.
Except that he talks about her family the same way to the lawyer. Cihan just isn't mean and arrogant to Hancer. He talks like her family is nothing. Like they are below him. He isn't a nice guy. Also he only wants Hancer as a baby factory and doesn't see that he wants something from her and she wants something from him which make them equal except she doesn't treat him badly. The writers aren't doing him any favors, they just make him look like a jerk at this point.
You hit the nail on the head...she needs help with bills, and he needs a baby, how difficult is that...

I'm starting to notice trends about these shows. The lead woman is always put into a vulnerable position of having to marry a man who doesn't love her. There's always that mother who bullies her. There's always the one obsessed woman who loves the lead man, but he doesn't love her. What does she do? She blames the woman he marries instead of wanting someone who loves her back. I wish they could stop making women exact hatred towards other women.

Ich habe angefangen Serie zu anschauen und bin überrascht über diese kleine Sache. Ich habe gemerkt das in allen türkische Serien ist es so. Jungs haben biros in eigener Haus und am Schreibtisch steht der Name von jeweiligen Mann. Ob in Haus noch ein paar biros stehen für mich ist das lustig diese neue Braut ist schön und schüchtern. Mal sehen wie die Serie sich entwickelt. Alle türkische Serien fangen gut an aber dann werden sie unrealistisch und total unlogisch und doof.
