So glad to hear Matt back dropping some real good one liners. The other boys have done great in his absence, but there was a noticeable empty space. Looking forward to Chapo 2025 to help give insight into these crazy times we're about to enter
Felix’s diabetes analogy reminds me of a time when I flew out to a booksellers convention for work that was being held in the same convention center as a cardiovascular health convention. When I got to the convention I found out that the reason why it took so long for our flight to dock into the gate was because a guy on the plane in front of ours had a heart attack and luckily he had like 6 different heart doctors bound for the cardiovascular health convention on board to save him. All I could think about is how much it would’ve sucked for him to be on the flight with the booksellers instead of the doctors.
That’s more attention and collaboration than you’d get in the hospital 99% of the time, but the only tools they have are plastic utensils and barf bags. It’s a wash I guess I’m saying
Im glad matt is feeling well enough to do the show again, the other boys and the plethora of guests this past year did good, but matts massive brain, no matter how mushy, was sorely missed
It’s pretty great that Matt rebounded. My Cajun uncle stroked out after Katrina (he blew up the levees) and could never really talk again or move his arm
Awesome to hear Matt on the air again, missed him enormously and it wasn’t the same without him. Btw, anyone get their copy of his book yet? Assuming it’s still being printed or something like that, but Matt has become my go to for history and I’m desperate for his written word to be in my hands.
I haven't received any info on when it might ship yet, or any info at all really. I assume they'd let us know if they had any updates, then again, they can just send them without any notice just as well.
@@marcingolab6227 Thought so, just desperate. Book aside, I hope Matt's back on a more regular basis, but I'm sure he's still recovering to some extent.

I love the relationship talk at about 1:05:00 because it's so obviously for us guys lol like yeah go for it for as long as you can handle it or just one night or whatever. Imagine telling a female to "yeah just sleep with an incel right winger, nothing bad can happen". 😅
God bless Matt. An inspiration across the nation.
an absolute master of class
The stroke making Matt’s Cajun accent even better is honestly hilarious
Matt's back, I'm back. First full episode I've listened to in a while, so glad he's back

Yeah what did these doctors have to help this guy? Did they just steal someone’s aspirin?

I would pay $100 a month for a Chapo series on the Old Testament
31:58 I was hoping the next question would be another caller with heavy machinery in the background and that's why they were read together

I don't see enough warnings that if we make Canada a state, Ted Cruz can run for president.

Matt Christman is my favorit person in the world
"this is your brain on podcasting. . . but I feel great! to quote Hilary Clinton"
Having a soy baby is my nightmare. Would definitely fake my death and move to Guam or something

I have a question. Is Virgil related to Alexis?
Alexis Texas is the stepmom of Virgil Texas (they fuck)
They both have a lot of ongoing DM's with teen girls on their Twitter account.
It's canon that she's his mother 💀

48:00 this is a great description of the moral absence of liberals.
Restaurant managers commonly work up to 60 hours a week....
