    This is a top notch tutorial. It always amazes me how poorly manufacturer's manuals are often written. Thank goodness there are videos and instructors like Mike. Thanks Mike!

    I just had a Mitsubishi Mini split with this remote installed by a Mitsubishi Diamond installer in my area. I also had the Kumo WiFi installed along with the wall thermostat. The installer did not explain ONE thing about how this remote or the Kumo WiFi wall thermometer worked.
    They basically "tossed me the keys" to the system and said, "good luck". This set of videos has been excellent for explaining this complex remote.
    One other item of note - the "installer access" password on this remote was the 10-digit business phone number of my installer.
    Now I just have to see what functions the Kumo WiFi system duplicates that are on this remote. No, I haven't gotten far enough in my searches for THAT video.
    But thanks for a great explanation of the handheld remote!

      It is great to hear these videos have been helpful! The Kumo WiFi is a great option for controlling your system via a smartphone or tablet. We'll consider adding a video about using the Kumo - thanks for the suggestion.

    I have the SG176 remote but it seems certain functions work the same way. Thank you! The manual just does not cut it. You are a solid instructor.

    Thank you for these videos. Can it tell me the current temperature in the room? If so, how?

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The remote displays the temperature that the unit is set at, but not the current temperature in the room. That temperature can be different 7-8 feet up in the room where the unit is anyway, so it's generally best to go by "feel" and set it for the temperature that feels comfortable for you, regardless of the number. You'd have to get a separate thermometer for the wall or a side table if you're really interested in the room temperature vs the set temperature.

    I’ve done everything possible to put the heating on but yet no air comes out at all,all I can see is some fast flashing icon in the top hand corner so guessing this is the issue but I can’t work out why or how to change it so it doesn’t come up

    I have another question, for the mistubishi one way ceiling cassette, where is the thermostat? in the cassette? the remote? How does it know when the temperature reached to the desired temperature set.

  • @ghjmno

    What senses the temperature? the controller or the indoor unit?
    What happens when the set temperature is met? Fan goes to lowest speed?

    Thanks for the info. I have a question. If there's one remote for 2 units, how do you change each unit? And if you set each unit differently, how do you change temperatures when going from one room to the next? Ie, set unit 1 at 70, set unit 2 at 72. If I want to change unit 1 to 72, it has the info for the other unit already set at 72.

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The wall unit is "programmed" when you aim the IR remote at it and change the settings via the remote. So aim the remote at Unit 1 and set the temperature for 70, and then aim the remote at Unit 2 and set the temperature for 72. That won't change Unit 1, unless you go back and turn Unit 1 off and on with the remote set at 72 (which would then reset Unit 1 for 72) or if you aim it at Unit 1 and touch the "temp" buttons again.

    Once I set the On and Off timer, do I just turn the unit off? Or leave it on? Will it go off automatically when the Off Time hits?

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Set the timer, and then if the unit should be ON at that time, leave it on. If it's supposed to be OFF at that time, turn it off. It should automatically turn on or off at next programmed time. If you turn it off, and the next timer is an "off" timer, it will just stay off.

      @@n.e.t.r.inc.2607 Thanks. It does seem to be working. I noticed that the power indicator light still stays on after the timer says to go "off," but all the vanes are closed and no air is blowing, so it appears to be "off".

    I love the dehumidifier mode. Is it less expensive to use that mode or the AC mode? If it is using less power on dehumidify, I would like to use that mode sometimes as it seems to give me relief, but I cannot find this answer anywhere! Thx

    Greqt video, What purpose does smart set serve that, for example, a weekly schedule wouldn't serve?

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      If you can program your weekly schedule and have it run automatically, that's great! Some people prefer a simple button on which they can program an "away" setup that they hit when they are leaving (and again when they return), or you could have a special setting for certain occasions (maybe your mother-in-law visits every few months and she likes the temperature a few degrees higher, and doesn't like the fan blowing directly onto the couch, for example). It's certainly "optional" if you don't have a use for it. Glad the video was helpful!

    Hej, I have a problem with the remote. Until recently it worked without problem but now even when I try different modes it's not. There's "blicking" time and clock icons? Could it be that? Thank you very much!

      This is an error message, indicating there is an issue with the unit. You will need to contact your local Mitsubishi Diamond Elite Dealer to schedule a repair to diagnose the issue.

    how do i get the max cooling setting on this remote.??

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Mary, the lowest degree the unit will go to is 61 degrees Fahrenheit, and you can use the Fan button to set the desired fan speed. We do not recommend keeping it at a maximum setting as it will be working harder than necessary to keep the room cool. Using the Econo Cool or automatic fan will keep the room cool in the best energy efficient way possible without putting stress on your unit.

    I do not understand “Smart Set”. I understand it is just a toggle between two settings. But how does one “Set” the alternate Smart Set setting? Why would one set (if ever I learn how to) an alternate? You gave an example of an away setting. Does one need to remember to toggle to away, then toggle when arriving home? That makes no sense to me. Help!

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The "Smart Set" button is just a simple way to have a "preset" temperature (and other settings like fan, sweep, etc.) that you can select with a single button press. Press the "Smart Set" button, and then press any of the other buttons to set up the unit how you want it. It will automatically "save" that setting as the Smart Set setting. Then you can toggle between the "Live" setting (Smart Set OFF) and the preset setting (Smart Set ON). So even if you change the temperature or other settings on the Live setting, you can always go back to the "Smart" preset by pressing that button. Use it however you want -- it could be an "away" setting that you turn on when leaving, and then you turn it off when you get home. Or it could be a nightime/sleeping setting, or whatever you want. If you are looking for your unit to turn off or on automatically, use the weekly timer programs to have the unit turn off or on at specified days/times.

    I can't get the vent to power on it not connecting it wouldn't power on I changed the battery but no communication or unable to change the up or down arrow all I am getting is flashing time on the remote

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If the time is flashing you may need to set the time on the remote. Try hitting the "time" buttons up and down to set the time. You may need to use a pen to press the small "clock" button at the bottom to lock in the time. Then try aiming the remote at the wall unit and using the Off/On button to turn the unit on and off. From there you can move on to the other functions.
