    Do the mode, fan and vane settings need to be set before setting the weekly timer?

  • @B_Eggshell
    @B_Eggshell ปีที่แล้ว

    Question: It's a time of year when the temperature varies a lot, so sometimes I'll need it to heat, other times to cool. Can I program both heat and cool, separately for the week--so it's set to cool when the temperature is over 72 and heat when the temperature is under 68? Seems like it wouldn't be conflict, but I don't know if it will store both heat and cool for the week.

      No, you can only store one temperature mode at a time in the weekly program.

    Was quite useful, thanks. The official Mitsubishi instruction video made it seem like a program can contain both On and Off settings for a day, which was quite confusing. Does not help that they turned off Dislikes and Comments to prevent people from actually helping each other.

    I'm in an attic and in the spring it can be 90 degrees one day and 40 another. I have a small animal that cannot live in extreme temperatures. Can I switch it from AIR to HEAT depending on the temp of the room?

    OMG... My minds in turmoil! I just want to set it to come on for a couple of hours as I go to bed... ever night this will be a different time. My Dyson fan is so simple... I aim the remote, press fan speed time I want it on. This is assuming I want a specific time every day! What a nightmare 😕😕😢😢

    I’m heating and cooling a sunroom with lots of plants. Can I set a temperature range from 61-80? We have wild ambient temperature swings so you don’t know from day to day which mode you will need. It may need to go into heat and cooling modes in the same day.
    Can this be programmed?

    FINALLY a complete video that shows me how to set the OFF time for the weekly program. It has to be set in a saparete program number! A little counterintuitive.
    One question remains: is it possible to set the weekly timer to turn on the fan alone or it has to have a temperature set and therefore activate the external unit?
    Thank youuuuu!!!

    Thanks for your video, I have a question. I want to heat during the day, but I like to sleep at 62 at night, and don't want to wait for the temperature to drop naturally. I think I understand that I can't program it to switch modes, but my question is this: Can I manually turn on the AC when I go to bed and then expect it to follow the programmed schedule and begin heating in the morning? What if I set the AC at night and hit the "off" button to set the AC to turn off early morning before the heat is programmed to come on in the morning? It really seems like there should be some way to do this.

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you do change the mode to AC, the programmed schedule will cancel. If you've saved it into the remote, you can still turn the schedule back on, but it will not revert back to heating if you change the modes.

    Very helpful, thank you. I have a multi-head system Mitsubishi system, with 3 MSZ-FH wall units and 1 MFZ-KJ floor unit connected to a single outdoor condenser, and have set each indoor unit to the same weekly timer for all days (program 1 - 00:00, 62 degrees, program 2 - 07:00, 68 degrees). I've confirmed that the weekly timer is on, on each unit. I'm finding, however, that the unit in my bedroom at least is keeping the temperature at the same setting despite the weekly timer being enabled; it's around 69 degrees around the clock, despite the timer. Any idea what might be going on? I've turned off the i-see sensor on the unit in my bedroom, as the rhythmic noise as it rotated was irritating at night. Fan is set to auto on all units. Thanks for any insight!

    It's not clear to me how you determine if the weekly program runs Heat or A/C. Is that based off of what state your remote is displaying (e.g., Heat in your vid) when you program the weekly timer? Thx!

    awesome - the guide is a little vague on setting a timer to turn off (ie - you need a second setting for OFF) so cheers mate - life saver

  • @BobC777
    @BobC777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This video is much better than the manual. It was not clear from the manual that you could have Prog 1 be an ON & Prog 2 be an ON also. It also cleared up that OFF really powers things down. The remote has 3 ON buttons and 2 TEMP buttons. Make sure you're using the correct ones!

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad it was helpful! The manual is confusing. In general, we like to leave the units on all the time, unless you're in a situation where you really don't need any heating or cooling in the room for a specified time (perhaps overnight for example). Also keep in mind that these ductless units have a variable speed inverter, so it generally takes very little energy to maintain a temperature, and it's not like leaving your window AC unit on 24 hours a day. Finally, you're right, the multiple ON and TEMP buttons are confusing as well -- just remember the entire black section at the bottom is just for programming, and the on/off and temp button at the top are manual controls for when you need a little extra boost of heat or cooling.

  • @ajperruzzi6566
    @ajperruzzi6566 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Does the remote need to be on for weekly schedule to run? Like at the end of the video your remote displayed 72 but if your program was not set for 72 during that time will it run off the schedule if activated ? Or will it keep the room at 72 constantly

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you press the orange "on/off" button on the remote, it will shut the ductless unit off (unless you hold your hand over the infrared transmitter at the top of the remote while you press the button). In that case, the unit is OFF and will not heat or cool. As long as the unit is ON, and the WEEKLY program has been completed and transmitted to the unit, it will run the program, even if you shut off the remote or take it out of the room, etc. However, the batteries last for months and months, even when left on constantly, so there's really no reason to have to turn off the remote while leaving the unit on. Just program the unit, and hang the remote up or put it on a table in the room so it's handy in case you want to make manual adjustments occasionally. In general, if the remote is on, the unit should be on, and if the remote is off, the unit is also off.

    Does the remote need to be in proximity of the unit in order for each program to run? My remote usually stores in a drawer, so not typically pointing at the unit. once set, does the remote send each signal to change temp etc? Or does the program store in the mini split to run from there?

    • @StaagG
      @StaagG 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You probably figured it out already, but anyway: once you send the schedule to the unit and turn it on, the remote can be put in the drawer as the schedule is stored and run from internal unit directly

    I've done all the programming for the weekly schedule and activated it. The temp shown on the remote does not reflect the temp that I've programmed. Is this normal? Does the weekly programming override the temp buttons at the top and the displayed temp shown? I saw someone else asked a similar question but the reply focussed on turning the unit and remote on or off. It didn't speak to whether the displayed temp should show the "programmed" temp or the temp that was set prior to programming.

Following the video I set a program in heat mode allowing the unit to drop to 62 at night, and 65 in the day, but I did not want the a/c to come on to get it there. Defeats the purpose. Can I set a heat (weekly) and cooling (weekly) program by starting the programing with the different (heat or cooling) modes? Thank you from Maine

      As far as we know, there is no way to set it to have both cold and heat running on the same program. The best thing to do is keep the heat program, and let the temperature fall down to 62 naturally. If you're still having issues or have additional questions about your remote, we recommend contacting Mitsubishi's Customer Care at 855-923-3631 for assistance.

In the spring and fall, when it’s cold in the morning and warm in the evening, there no way to program it to switch between heat and air conditioning for different parts of the day. We are getting the Bluetooth wall controller which we are hoping will help, since it knows the actual temperature of the room; however, no one can really tell us for sure. • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only thing I can think of is that you might have been trying to set an ON and an OFF time on the same program number. As Agnus Rayome mentioned in the other comment, program setting 1 and make sure it says "ON", and then program setting 2 and make sure it says "OFF" (if that's what you want). You can have up to 4 programs per day (1, 2, 3, 4) and you can either change the temperature at those points OR turn the unit on or off. You might only use 2 of the daily programs (1 on time, and 1 off time) -- that's fine -- just leave 3 and 4 blank. Hope that helps!

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The remote displays what the current temperature is set at, but not what the current temperature in the room is. You would need an external thermometer (perhaps mounted on your wall or on a side table) to read that. Also, the temperature where the wall unit is (typically 7 or 8 feet up) can be different than what the temperature is near the floor (or on a couch or bed) so it's generally best to work by feel and just raise the temperature up or down by a couple of degrees until you find the temperature setting that feels comfortable to you, rather than just going by the numbers.

      Are you sure you have a unit with the same remote as in the video? Some other models only have a "24 hour timer" which can be set to go on or off once in the next 24 hours, but then default back to "always on" or "always off" until you set it again. The weekly timer on this unit is definitely a nice feature to have, so you can "set it and forget it".
