You were so on point reading Kiyoi and Hira, Kiyoi is trying his best but Hira is still in the I'm just a fan mode, I love my boys so much
What i like about hira and kiyoi relationship is they're trying to understand eachother, they taking small steps on their own way to improve themselves for eachother , i know they both are kind of toxic because of the environment they grew up with or the person they are , like hira is s kind of person who have very low self-esteem and he always doubt himself , he don't find himself worthy enough to be with kiyoi he always think that kiyoi left him someday. Just like hira has low self-esteem kiyoi has attachment issues because of his past experience he always feel this need to get attention and being love by someone who always wanted to be by his side he also has this fear that somedays someone gonna snatched hira from him he don't know how to show his true feelings which i think it's also related to his past experience so he sometimes show it in aggressive way although he don't wanted to hurt him genuinely and instead of all this insecurities he still trying to communicate. They both are somehow assuring eachother which i find really wholesome. In real life also if you can see every relationship has their own problems to deal with not everyone is perfect what important is that how much efforts they are putting to be with you instead of all their insecurities and worries. It's reality you can't just expect someone to change their whole personality it's take time , effort and courage.

So far they are staying so loyal to the book with their dialogues, it makes me happy. I am a bit sad they are apparently condensing the entire 2nd book into only 4 episodes but with how they handled episode 1 I am remaining hopeful for the rest of the season.
@@kuroneko7022 Japanese BL usually don't stray away from their source material and if there are any changes they tend to not be very significant. Me being sad about the possibility of them condensing the story into 4 episodes comes from the fact that the plot of episode 1 was largely from the bonus chapter. That leaves the entire main plot of the Nikurashii Kare pretty much untouched and with 3 episodes left, there is just no possible way of including all the storylines on screen. I am still hoping that season 2 and the upcoming movie are 2 separate things just because that would mean they can cover everything.
Also I have never said I am expecting every little thing to match? I said I am happy they are staying loyal to the book with their dialogues, meaning in general they have the same issues and conversations as in the book, which is important the keep to understand who they are as characters and how they grow in the future. Exactly the thing they did in season 1 with staying loyal to book 1. Not sure why you have an issue with that?
If i'm not mistaken, some parts of the second book will be in the movie which will come out in april. The movie will be a continuation of season 2. :)
At the moment it seems they are adapting the extra chapters of the novel. Apparently the 2nd book will be finished adapting in the film that will be released next month. If you have already read the novel (or listened to the audio drama as is my case) and watch the Utsukushii Kare Eternal movie trailer, you will realize that they will adapt the 2nd book although I think they changed the classification and now it's G or something like that haha so there will be no "explicit" scenes.

It's been few months since I've listened to the audio drama but I believe they only had 2 explicit scenes anyway, right? And neither was particularly important for the storyline so I don't really care if they remove them. Though the rating does make me wonder if they include (to say it in the most non spoiler-y way possible) the scene in the house with Anna's "fan". I don't feel like that would fall under G rating.

⚠️Spoilers: Well, I think the only explicit scene that's important is the one that happens after the whole Anna's crazy fan thing. Because it's the first time we see Hira not suppressing his desire to touch Kiyoi, where he really can expresses what he feels and for the first time he can show Kiyoi his desires without having to hold back because he sees Kiyoi as a god. So I do consider that is important for Hira's development and how little by little he leaves his idealization for Kiyoi to finally humanize him and feel like an equal rather than someone of lower rank to his god Kiyoi haha

I would say that not enough people have comprehension skills to understand the characters 😄 which sounds mean, but the amount of people calling their relationship toxic is concerning to me

18: 35, the English subtitle is indeed appealing. Kiyoi was jealous because Hira was so popular. Hira apologized because he felt his popularity made Kiyoi unhappy😂. So sweet！
People stop call Kiyoi toxic, his character called tsundere and it's common character you can find in japanese media and quite become fethis for japanese fans.

this gave me all the feels of season 1.. I'm hooked again
I’m really enjoying it so far and feeling optimistic about this season. Like you said it seems like they kept the vibe the same as the first season and didn’t change up the characters too much. A lot of shows and books tend to get to that lovely-dove-y honeymoon phase when characters get together and the relationship is too perfect until outside things mess up the dynamic or cause miscommunication. So far these two are clearly still the same people with the same flaws and although they’ve made progress in their relationship and are still working on communicating their thoughts. So it feels more like a natural progression. Can’t wait to see how the season develops!
Also, I’m thinking that the movie will just be a combined run of season two (like they do with a lot of Korean bls edited into movies) since there’s only 4 episodes, but we’ll see.

So glad you're reacting to the second season! Your insights are always so spot on. I love how they're showing how much Kiyoi is doing to support and communicate with Hira even though he himself struggles with being so direct.
The movie was announced first! That's what is coming out in April, then a few weeks later they announced season two which would connect the first season to the movie. I assume they decided that skipping to whatever the movie is about (which is set years after s1 with them in a relationship) without showing the audience their development together as a couple, would have been a bit jarring, so they've made a short season in between to fill that gaps.
Season 2 is only 4 episodes 👍🏼

Ngl, I am pretty sure this is the movie split into 4 parts. The movie is supposed to be called My Beautiful Man: Eternal, which if you see the opening in episode 1 is also the name of season 2.
@@Danny-uj3wh They said the movie would continue where season 2 ends, so it will be new content. And also they will release a movie version of the first season with new scenes (tho this will be shown for only one week in Japanese theaters).

I watched S1 before and I didn't like this drama coz I hate any plots school bullying. But S2 has totally changed my opinion! This drama is so incredible! LOVE
But bullying is issue that exist in real life. The story kinda realistic that way
@@reisnow80 yeah that's true, but sometimes I think people tend to stay away from these types of shows because it may bring back whatever traumatic experiences they had back in school.
(Honestly every show has a some kind of trauma that comes with it,) but it's good when they make these shows touch on real life problems. You have something to relate to.
If no-one understood how you were feeling, the person who made the show or wrote the books probably did.
