Prepping the maps is generally okay since it's fast. But prepping the atlas is by far the most "anti-fun" thing in endgame imo. Also... great video. :)
One way to make prepping the atlas more rewarding (and maybe more fun due to the expectation of rewards) is by running high deliriousness (70%+) t11 and above maps on the trashy pathing maps (like augury with no league mechanics, etc.). You can get the giga high delirous maps using an atlas passive node for Delirium (left of the tree, forgot the name). They drop an absurd amount of simulacrum splinters, and make the map drops more things (more mobs, and probably more rarity if its the same as poe1).
i hate how "juicing" and "preping" your maps, waystones and towers has become the norm. oh i need to find good waystones and tablets with rarity and quantity. oh i need to get rid of bad map layouts by running them first so that my tablets dont target them. oh i need make sure there are enough towers in range. oh i need to add distilled emotions to juice my map. what the fuck is this shit GGG. i came here to play path of exile not path of setup.
@domatdom you bssically did the same thing in poe 1 without the towers Youd still run specific maps with modifiers and chaos orb and craft them and val them.

The thing you missed on mentioning that I believe is CRUCIAL to the enjoyment and maximum juicing of maps is naming one of your map tab "Elon's maps" or at least "-your name- maps"
Before you Vaal you can make the maps delirious which adds bigger packs etc and better drops. You can add any where from 7% - 100% delirious using your delirium currency.
You can, but I think it makes the poe experience significantly worse. Fun is a factor here and deli mapping burnout is real. I don’t recommend doing it all the time
great stuff! I have Doryani standing right next to my stash. When ever I finish a map I always cntl-click him once before throwing stuff in tabs. That way everything is already identified and you can remove one step from the waystone prep process.
So much this! I setup my hideout in a small area and go around in a clockwise fashion the moment I am back in my hideout from a map: ctrl+click Doryani -> salvage bench -> sell/disenchant -> stash -> reforge bench -> relic locker. Everything is right there in a semi circle and I barely need to move to do all the selling/breaking down/storage of items. I can get right back into the map within seconds, even with a full inventory.
Don't forget to reforge boys, if you have T13s and T14s stacked up you can reforge until everything is T15s same with tablets, if you roll them all and most are bad you can reforge 3 into 1 and hope they reroll with better rolls
For all the comments about adding delirium or being sure to not add suffixes to my maps… Please rewatch the intro where I explain that FUN is a major factor and that hyper efficiency is not the goal. I’m rolling my maps this way and making tons of divines AND having a great time. Just trying to share that it’s possible!
i actually think most people who are complaining about PoE content on the internet are not approaching the game with the goal of having a good time. the rest of us however are grateful

My 2cents - I think if every time you finish a map you identify everything you have picked up in your inventory using Doryani then you wouldn't need a single wisdom scroll.
I laughed and spill my coffee when I saw "Elon`s Maps", I set same name for my maps tab too. GGG would make great move to call they incoming waystone stash tab actually Elon`s Maps :)
If your main focus is splinters for either deli or breach... T11 is the lowest they drop at, so if your build cant handle juiced t15's for either breach or deli splinters, you can run t11's if you want. roll for quant and add paranoia or ire (if you cant afford paranoia or need the xp bonus as well). Any tablet quantity total around 50% or higher will net you a lot of splinters.

I don't augment for more chance to get 3 prefixes maps without suffixes. SO I transmut regal, then exalt, if no rarity, rarity quant hybrid and rare monsters = Vaal. If vaal did not reroll prefixes vendors. I keep some suffixes map to farm more maps, even if it's not so much needed anymore it's also good for fragment farm on citadels.
Not even considering the gold but I suppose if you have them all in stash unidentified this is actually more efficent tbh. Always have identified all via Doryani before depositing though
I just started endgame and didn’t realise there was so much more. When should I start doing this and how do I get the currency to do this later on? Do you get more currency easier eventually? I’m new and never played an arpg before.
Once I mod them the ways tone to 3, I usually remove anything without a rarity/quant/rare monsters or with burning ground (I only avoid bg because it ruins gas arrow for me, burning my clouds up so the poison doesn't stack) and vaal them right away. Any ones with those mods I exalt up to 6. I get enough maps that I don't have to run anything without great mods so I don't bother exalting waystones that don't start off looking good. Just vaal and keep the ones that are lucky.
When do you put in the tablets, do you first do the towers and do the bad nodes (with 0-2 nodes) on them and then juice all towers at same time to increase the chance to hit same maps with tablets?
note - unless the node is needed for pathing, you don't even have to run the map. Just activating the node on the atlas is enough to prevent the tablet picking it to add its mechanics, don't have to even entrer the map. And so for this you can use any waystone, even lvl 1.
Always deli the map before vaal. it's free extra currency without negative impact. You one hit anyway everything. And more important DO NOT VAAL perfect maps with high quant/rarity/rare monsters, you may brick it.
I always corrupt the maps I don’t like. Sometimes I can reroll things like burning ground or gold find. Occasionally I’ll get an all prefix or tier 16 out an otherwise unusable way stone. I also recommend atleast using distilled ire on all waystones before use. The splinters you get themselves will often be worth more than 3 ires.
@@T0ngin because fun is a factor here. Deli is far too much added ugliness, slows and effort for the returns. It absolutely makes you drop more loot but imo makes the game worse. This is just my own opinion, I’m sure plenty of folks like deli Also folks who are using deli on their t18 maps probably aren’t watching this video haha
@ great point, just checking I’m struggling in T15 maps anyway but I think that’s because I’m on controller and the targeting is awful in this game especially when demons spawn and rush you and you get stun locked to oblivion and never get the chance to react 🫠
I prefer burning ground rather than physical or elemental reflect back to me lol Like in poe 1 I hate that reflect damage to me, Im glad that they didn't include that in poe2
Only mod that scares me is 60% reduced recovery, especially running the "corrupted waystones are corrupted a second time" As a warrior using *blood magic, this is a death sentence on any juiced map. Ill trade you for all of your burning ground waystones!
3:00 all of the floor modifiers i prefer. Theyre easy to avoid and provide little to no challenge if you position yourself properly. Ill take those over any "enemies have 300% more crit chance" or some other crap like that lol
I do the same as this, except I don't corrupt my maps for the most part, instead I infuse 3 Paranoia on all my maps for more rare monsters/splinters. Combined with the Breaches, I'm selling a Breachstone and Simulacrum for many exalts every few maps on top of all the divines dropping.
I still use corrupted that removed waystone drop, to stages with bosses. Tested and proven, I still get t15 maps after boss kill and sime t13 -14 to rare monsters then just reforge them.
I think many people skip "delling maps" (adding delirious mod using emotions) because it works different way then all other currencies. Reforge window need to go away for at least applying delirious to maps.
IMO once you have a ton of maps, id just start being more selective about mods, only running quant rarity extra rares etc maps. It’s also a bunch of extra map rolling effort so i wouldn’t do it but you absolutely can!

I just realized...you didn't use any distilled on your maps. You are definitely trolling if you don't make your maps delirius. The best one is +45% increased rare monsters (3x Paranoia) you need to be doing this on all your good maps especially, basically anything with quant. And I think you should not be fully exalting every single map either because you're unnecessarily making them more difficult. You want 3 prefixes and then after that you shouldn't slam further exalts it only increases your waystone drop chance and adds more challenging suffixes.
@ deli is not necessary to make money, is very challenging for new players for the rewards it gives and it is anti fun. It’s ok to not be perfectly optimized

I dont think very many people understand how rarity of item and quantity of items works. Soft cap for rarity is 150% if you are anywhere near that you will get way more benefit from quantity of items. Because of diminishing returns, any amount of rarity on your items will lower the value of rarity on maps. So like you said quantity>rarity on your maps due to rarity on equipment. Im personally capped on equipment so I sell rarity tabs for good money because people just dont understand how worthless it is.
Would like to know your thoughts on the atlas that gives certain increases in certain map type i.e increased basic currency in water and swamp maps. I have basically your atlas with that changed and seems to be boosting div on those water/swamp maps I'm pulling in div almost every time I hit one now if not a div I'm rolling in other currency drops that gets near div value. Curious on why you didn't go with that one and if maybe I should change it
Oh no I didn’t. Deli ruins the experience of playing Poe. I’ve done more deli maps than I can count and don’t care to do more, or to recommend to new players they do it. Remember early in the video I said fun mattered!

Why are we clicking each map to identify it. :( Also piece of feedback, unless you're trying to get more waystone sustain (Which isn't an issue at all once you're decently into end-game), or doing a citadel, there is no point in exalting to 6 mods. Just exalt until you have 3 prefixes on everything. Also it makes sense to mention using greed or paranoia on your maps before vaaling, as that adds a ton of rarity and wealth generation (especially if you have cleared simulacrum tier 2)
I didn’t talk to doryani because I’d have had to click every map in and out of my stash to do it. Scrolls are 25g and I have 10m haha Regarding the prefix stuff, I assume most people watching this aren’t already flooded with maps, but that’s a good tip for later on. Tbh I probably think watching for prefixes on each map adds minutes to rolling and isn’t worth it anyway

At exalt stage you can use omen that gives 2 mods for 1 exalt. Omen is allways cheaper than 2 exalts.

Foe burning maps. Use an ignite charm with replenish charges on monster killed. Makes you immune most of the map

That’s exactly what I do. Running the bad maps first also removes them from the pool of potential maps to get tiles from tablets

Avoid distilling waystones for maps with delirium though, because it will make it impossible for the rewards from the delirium mirror to drop.

@ yeah, I find the spawning of deli monsters to be VERY clunky. I’d wait to add deli til you have a very tanky and high dps character.

Once you have a huge pool of maps you can stop adding suffixes but it makes the map rolling process much more tedious and you’ll drop fewer waystones

Why would you not use doryani to identify maps?
Why are you using wisdom scrolls and not using the dude to ID?
They were already in my inventory. Way more work to move them twice, and wisdom scrolls are basically free

Because of diminishing returns, any amount of rarity on your items will lower the value of rarity on maps. So like you said quantity>rarity on your maps due to rarity on equipment. Im personally capped on equipment so I sell rarity tabs for good money because people just dont understand how worthless it is.
Did you know that if you use an orb on the tab that it affects all the items applicable in that stash tab?

Would like to know your thoughts on the atlas that gives certain increases in certain map type i.e increased basic currency in water and swamp maps. I have basically your atlas with that changed and seems to be boosting div on those water/swamp maps I'm pulling in div almost every time I hit one now if not a div I'm rolling in other currency drops that gets near div value. Curious on why you didn't go with that one and if maybe I should change it
I saw people using it and swapping for biomes, and they said it seemed “ok.” I haven’t done enough testing on it tbh

Those are quad premium tabs! Press M for the micro transactions store and under stash tabs you will see them listed
You can 3 to 1 the tablets in the reforge bench, getting rid of the bad ones and hope they become good. Nice video and concept :)

Also piece of feedback, unless you're trying to get more waystone sustain (Which isn't an issue at all once you're decently into end-game), or doing a citadel, there is no point in exalting to 6 mods. Just exalt until you have 3 prefixes on everything.
Also it makes sense to mention using greed or paranoia on your maps before vaaling, as that adds a ton of rarity and wealth generation (especially if you have cleared simulacrum tier 2)
I didn’t talk to doryani because I’d have had to click every map in and out of my stash to do it. Scrolls are 25g and I have 10m haha
Regarding the prefix stuff, I assume most people watching this aren’t already flooded with maps, but that’s a good tip for later on. Tbh I probably think watching for prefixes on each map adds minutes to rolling and isn’t worth it anyway
