- Taylor Guitars shimmers into its Golden Anniversary this year, and the guitar builders are marking the occasion with a number of releases throughout 2024.
“There will be a lot of products coming out this year,” says Taylor CEO and Master Guitar Designer Andy Powers, “because our 50th is an ongoing celebration for us.”
The party has started with quite a bang, as Taylor unveiled its woody, mid-century modern-looking marvel, the Circa 74 Acoustic Guitar and Vocal Amplifier. “We wanted something that doesn’t look like an appliance,” says Powers. “Instead, it looks comfortable sitting in my living room, and I love to look at things that are beautiful.”
In addition, Taylor kicked off 2024 with a trio of exquisite Grand Auditorium guitars-the 314ce, 814ce Builders Edition and AD14ce. Each guitar is equipped with V-Class bracing and ES2 electronics.
“With the AD14ce, the American Dream Series has a Grand Auditorium model for the first time, and it also has a cutaway for the first time,” says Powers. “The AD14ce is a personal favorite. It’s a lot of guitar for what it costs.”

The same old Taylor 100 series and 200 series is good enough for most anyone. I’m not the biggest Taylor fan, just personal preference, but they are perhaps the most consistent builder out there. Pretty remarkable for a big name brand.
👍 agree
TAYLOR
their sound always remains unmistakable
Andy seems like such a cool human being. So genuine and authentic. Respect! He sure can play too! That adds a lot of credibility. Would love to have heard more of his playing and the amp.
Love interviews with Andy. I’m thinking of getting this amp.
Why did they eliminate most of the dreadnoughts?
This guy is some kind of wizard
I understand the new amp does not have phantom power which will affect many microphones.
I'm sure we can expect updated models.
Why rosewood fret boards - black ebony is so much more professional and looks and feels better .
I have an American Dream AD27e that was made with the Grand Pacific body shape and “V” bracing. What an incredible instrument.
I also have a GE Mini Koa Pro-equally impressive. Taylor make the most comfortable and best sounding guitars for my personal taste.
Is there any taylor that has bigger sound than a GS Mini but comfortable than a dreadnought? Thank you.
In the thumbnail, I thought it was Paul Gilbert at first. 🤘🏽
Why the new amp is not built in the USA ? ...
