Suzuki SWIFT 1.3 DLX Automatic Detailed Review / 2022 /12 Years in Pakistan

- In this detailed review of Suzuki Swift DLX Automatic, we have extensively tested it's capabilities against it's modern rivals. Although, Swift DLX is the biggest hatchback locally assembled in Pakistan, however, due to it's dated interior and exterior, there are other alternatives in the small hatchback segment. Pak Suzuki launched Swift in 2010 and it was received fairly well in the local market. There were a few incremental changes introduced in Swift as well. Main changes included an automatic variant and a navigation system with rear view camera.
The Swift in this review is the range topping DLX variant however, since it's a few years old, therefore, it lacks the LCD screen and rear view camera. It has a 1.3 Litre naturally aspirated engine that produces 92 HP & 116 NM of Torque. This engine is mated to a 4-Speed conventional Automatic transmission, that takes this Swift from 0-100 KM/H in 13.5 Seconds (tested).
The fuel economy of Swift is quite underwhelming as compared to it's JDM rivals. It gives around 10 KM/L in City and 15 KM/L on highway. However, this fuel economy figure could vary based on your driving style. Suzuki Swift has completed 12 years of existence in the Pakistani market and it's new model is expected to launch in 2022. If Pak Suzuki launches the latest generation of Swift then it would be a great option for hatchback buyers in Pakistan.

I have kept this since 5 yrs & used it as 2nd car along with corolla 1.3 & now with yaris 1.5. There is absolutely no issue with road clearance. Braking is not good. Acceleration is excellent. Its built quality suits Pakistani uneven roads n frequent hits by motor bikes. Turning radius is big like sedans. If a person has no issue with its mileage then its a very good car. This is the first time I am disappointed by your review. You can personally dislike something but how can u make such technical errors of judgment while driving it. Don’t compare it with Alto n Vitz 🙏. For a genuine car expert, it doesn’t suit to focus more on features (like push start, screen n side mirrors) & sidelining the drive quality n durability.
I thought the review is a bit harsh too but they have compared it in terms of the features it offers, and it offers nothing. Airbags is not an issue for most of us but in fact I think a car without airbags shouldn't even be in the market now. So, harsh but not wrong.
@@muhammadumer2070 I m one of the first subscribers to this channel & expected this channel n review quality to improve with time. However, it was shocking to notice such fundamental errors like wrong comments about road clearance n turning radius. Moreover, they totally disregarded the beauty of its engine n transmission.

Swift is a real legendary car.
My manual swift 2011 driven 113k gives an avg of 13-14km/l with AC in city. Brakes are bad in terms of applying. But overall performance is satisfactory. Manual transmission is faster then automatic and feels very quick (comparing to 2011 reborn which I also have). Lacks features but is light on pocket in terms of parts fuel etc. a good car and I am satisfied with it. Using for more than a year

I have been using Suzuki Swift since 2012. Car is a pocket rocket. Small size with big engine.
I am pretty much satisfied with my Swift driving experience. Yes Swift does not have some features like air bags, arm-rest, retractable mirrors, cruise control but as far as speed, power & ride is concerned - Swift is the best option. Cultus, Picanto, Vitz 1.0L is nothing in front of Swift's Power & Speed.

Most underated car of pakistan...i used swift since 2011 and again bought new manual dlx in 2018 because its driving feel is unmatchable ..manual variant acceleration is incredible ..fuel avg is also good easily gave in city 12 to 13kmpl and on highway gave 15 to 16kmpl...although paksuzuki gave us so much strip down swift but best thing is you can easily install all jdm things in this swift without any hassle ..for example retractable mirrors,fuel avg clock,vanity mirrors ,multimedia steering,tweetors,auto climate control,smart entry, bixenon HiD lights etc ..and one last thing its abs breaks are top notch i dont know why you dont research on it and who said this ! But people trust me 1st drive the swift and then realize what a beautiful machine it is 💖

Bhai G swift is not that bad car. Only reason of less sales is its fuel consumption. Aap ne to bohot hi bura bana dia isko.

Na to brake ka problem ha naa e ground clearance ka..m using since 5 years...also it has best in class handling and power. Double compartment boot is actually very practical ..only issue is back space

The car should be never about features its about drive and swift does that very well.
I've been viewing your reviews and always applauded them due to professionalism. But this time, i must say you guys seemed confused and may be biased. All the time, you kept boasting about the features which obviously it doesn't have. But it does have all the necessary features like ABS, Power Windows, Power Steering, Mirror Adjustment, Good A/C, Alloy Rims and Yokohama Tyres. Apart from that it drives like a Sedan on Motorways and cannot be compared to even City or Gli in terms of Engine Performance and Road Grip/Handling. Also the Ground Clearance is better than City and less than Gli which is actually decent. The manual variant also gives a decent fuel average of 13 to 14 km/l on 5W-20 or 5W-30 engine oil. If someone needs to buy a new car, it's not a good option in 2.1 million budget but you guys should have reviewed it like a used car since it's very decently priced in the used car market. I don't know why you guys messed up the review today. Disappointed Honestly !!!

Swift has only less mileage issue. It rocks in all other issues
I kept this car from 2012-2018. I would say this car was really good when it came to power and long drive. Probably best In The hatchback category in that regard and better than vitz 1.0 and Passo. However, in 2012 it cost me 1.1 million. 2.2 million for this is not justified

I had swift 1.3 dlx automatic and for me the biggest issue was of AC, it always stopped working while waiting on traffic signals!
