- Hey everyone, in this video we are unboxing the brand NEW Traxxas Slash 4x4 BL-2S Brushless! It’s a great car, and we have lots of videos coming out of us reviewing and testing it.
In the future, we will be upping the power with a VXL system, and seeing how good the car is racing against other VXLs.

I bought that exact truck when they first came out. I race it in our clubs spec 4x4 class and it is just as fast as the VXL’s. I upgraded the driveline and shocks day one( and servo, links, tires, pinion, and installed a center diff).Recently I installed a LCG chassis and if you have ever done it to a 4wd it’s quite a task. Love the truck but with the upgrades and money I got into it I would start with an Ultimate.
Why buy that model and immediately upgrade it?
Wasn’t my intention but one thing led to another and there I was. I ended up buying an ultimate anyway but the BL2S is one tough truck and I drive it more.
Nice video , i had one threw out that slow bl2s , went 4s Hobbywing . Broke the chassis and grabbed a Mojave 4s . Slash is a true beast but ive moved up in scale size sct .

your suppose to take out the small black part thats already on the truck and fit the foam in its place, i always trimmed mine down to not put stress on the wires of the battery but now my slash uses a big 4s pack and uses a big velcro strap. Great video! I didnt know they made a 2s slash thats 4x4 til i seen one in the store today.
We also put the battery in backwards, Slash does things a little differently haha. Great car though
That's the high center gravity chassis but traxxas does make a low center gravity chassis conversion kit for the slash
That would make sense to get for the Slash. Some have suggested it for the Stampede which I definitely don’t agree with.
@redbanditracing I have the Slash 4x4 Ultimate and it comes factory with it and some other hop ups and as for the stampede it doesn't have a low center gravity chassis. The Hoss and Stampede chassis are the exact same. How does the Sledge do for bashing and backflips? I'm thinking of getting a Sledge eventually. I also have an XMaxx and I like it more than my Maxx but I still run my Maxx once in while I know you mentioned something about getting an XMaxx maybe but I'm so glad I pulled the trigger on getting my XMaxx and don't regret it one bit. I really like your guy's videos too kep up the good work!

What tires do you recommend for upgrade?
Honestly not sure, haven’t looked too far into new tires yet. I will be looking for a softer tire for the track. When we find tire we will definitely post it for everyone.
You are putting the battery in the wrong way in the first of the video.

That is the correct battery, the battery was backwards.
