How can I chose the right crown to my watch . and where to buy the crown and tool from .if the stem is too long how did you get it the right length . it did not show in the video . thank you for the video.

Changing only the crown - when the stem is exposed but still sitting in the watch, why does one have to take the stem out completely? Can't you unscrew the old crown and then screw on the new one? Great video, btw - than you!

Thanks for the vid, very useful. Slightly unrelated question, but still involving watch crowns: can you damage a watch crown by pulling it too hard? Can it break quite easily?

Nothing about cutting the stem to length. You'll be very lucky to get a replacement stem that is the correct length.

Hi, i have a blancpain villeret 40mm watch in stainless steel 2 years old (2020) watch and i noticed that it is stiff when i try to wind it. It has 72 hours power reserve.
Example: When i wind it, it is tight..
I have to pull out the crown then i have to push it back in, in order for it to be buttery smooth when i wind it. It keeps excellent time BUT it is just stiff/tight if i wind it without pulling out the crown and pushing it back in first.. feels like resistance..
Any idea on what could it be? I dont have warranty.
My jlc reverso is so smooth , i dont have to pull out crown and push back in for it to be smooth wind.
Which type of silicone/oil for the crown gasket do you recommend?

does anyone know how to remove the stem from a hamilton ventura mid 90s? I will be unscrewing the back later and need to polish if i can the inside crystal... is it just removing the stem that will allow me to get the dial popped out?

I will call tissot to check as watch is brand new under full warranty. I think this was my fault as i have pulled it to hard to click 3 times like it said in manual but it should be 2 times. I think manual is bit confusing. Screw has fitted back properly and secure and not coming out even if pulled hard so it should be fine. My only concern was water resistance. Thank you for replying

Hi! Good day! I ask my father to pass his Rolex submariner to me about 6 months ago. And now the crown isn't attached anymore, I'm afraid to tell him because I promise that I will take care of it. How much will it cost me if I repair it to the professionals? I'm asking because I'm just a student and I'm concern about over pricing. Pls help! Thank you!

If the stem really broken, you're screwed. These things can't be repaired. You'll need to purchase a replacement stem. Or have a watchmaker obtain one, sinthan you do at dinding the proper stem.ce he' has more experience
