I love that the old style of Disrupt is coming back, but I really miss the Adult-Swim-esque bumps in between the stories. It really made the channel feel like a forbidden TV channel from the early 2000s.

Provides a reference regarding the time and culture, and builds out the world we are hearing the story from. If I had to guess, “plot tools”
they arent, thats how disrupt videos were originally, multiple unrelated stories told interspersed, I really like this style of storytelling, but I can see why its confusing

love the content, its a shame there is such heavy use of AI art- especially when you compare it to the previously human-made works which elevated the story telling, and showed a hell of a lot more love
Yup... Disrupt made the most beautiful and snappy visuals, this vid is already mushy AI slop, and I'm just in the first 30 seconds.
Edit: damn, at least the rest of the video was fine. The beginning completely killed the vibe.

The art looks great. Why are artists always crying about AI stealing their jobs while saying AI art sucks? Doesn't make sense. Stop being so salty. AI can't draw what's in your head so human artists are still valuable.
@@saadahmed688 mate are you dense? ai art is trained off of real people and is already taking away opportunities; use this video as an example- a real human being could have been employed and created work for this video, however that simply isn't the case and they've instead used AI work which is just worse.

Yeah, sadly. You can tell it's AI within 10 seconds of video with how shit it looks. Unconfident details and shapes melting in and out of existence in blurry, senseless motion. A far cry from the original aesthetic
@@TheMechanicalHermit came to the same conclusions shortly after posting that, I doubled back and sure enough, the entire moon sequence is AI, and the surface is just mush non stop.

AI art is good for productivity, product quality, and the consumer. Artists who can be replaced by it aren’t real artists anyways.

I personally found it so much better than many animations I've seen, the fact it's generated by AI doesn't bother me at all, I have other issues with this channel lol (namely the unnecessary voice changes, stupid insertions that feel unrelated to the overall topic, kinda misleading title and so on)

I'm pretty sure the intro is AI(If not im sorry) but seeing this from a channel that I used to be so fond of is quite upsetting, you are probably able to fund some sort of artist(again, sorry if not) and if not then use some other form of media.
Looks like the rest is human-made, so now i just wonder why they couldnt do that for the intro. IMO the intro being AI-generated brings down the rest of the video quality

I've never heard about the Colorado EAS incident. I do remember the PBS Dr. Who / Maxx Headroom signal hijack, the "Wyoming Incident" and more recently the Dallas Tornado siren incident. The latter being done via DTMF tones from a cheap Chinese ham radio.

Jordan, the voice and writer of this video and original co-owner of the channel; and it's been one and a half years.
The one who didn't take ayahusca in Peru. Simultaneously losing their damn mind, encountering a "demon" made of cacti and becoming a "born again" religious type during the trip.
Alot of people like to act like taking psychedelic drugs is all sunshine and rainbows. My younger self included, never really thinking about the fact that some people enter psychosis during the trip and never return.

Jak the former face and voice of the channel is gone but the channel has been bought back and resurrected by the second founder of the channel, Jordan, who until then stayed hidden; but on this occasion he has shown his face and now voices these videos. The bulk of the former writing and animation team is back as well.
Jak went off the rails trying to buy the channel from Jordan on debt and a crowdfunding campaign masquerading as "investment", potentially to turn it into a Christian propaganda channel.
No? It was the ex Co-founder who went Awol and used the channel to promote an investment scam. Disruptv as a whole had little to do with it, the team was asked by their boss to make the promotional videos to. In the end, surprisingly, it ended amicably between the cofounders, if anticlimactic and with little questions answered. Their response ultimately came down to "He's sorry." "I'm sorry." "That was stupid." "Let's talk startups."
