Superb as always Mr. Heiner. Your work collecting and disseminating the wisdom of our spiritual fathers serves so many. I always come away enriched and humbled. Well done.
Super interesting discussion. I'd like to hear more on Calvinism, his theocracy and how he took Luther to his logical conclusion. Perhaps it will be covered in the next episode... I'd appreciate any directions to other podcasts or good resources covering this topic... and or nominalism a bit more.
It is interesting the Roman Empire was scuttled by the Germans while Western Christianity was sundered by them too. The Church didn’t make the mistake of not assimilating the Germans like the secular Roman Empire (not that they would since the Church is the universal Church made for all men) but it still didn’t matter as Germans were still able to cause catastrophic damage to western civilization. It’s a shame too for such a clever and strong people who contributed so much to the Church and the West in general.
Time for a refresher course on this epoch.

Dolan, wiki doesn't say anything about him as a TLM bishop... It seems he's still in Vat 2
