      @@feeltennis Okay, I just tried it out and it’s awesome! I didn’t know that you had to lock in the angle adjustment so it started lobbing the balls after a minute or so. Once I locked it in it worked perfectly. It’s very easy to use and it fits nicely in the trunk of my model 3. It’s very quiet so I’m not pissing anyone off.
      A little about me: I played a lot before having kids but then I stopped playing for twenty years. I’m finding my way back to the court but I no longer have a consistent forehand to rally with. I took lessons for several weeks but my work schedule made it difficult to continue. I do practice with my friends but I’m just frustrating the better players, but at the same time, the weaker players aren’t able to return the balls consistently enough for me to improve.
      While a ball machine can never replace an actual tennis partner, it doesn’t complain about the heat, it’s ready to hit the court whenever you’re ready, it doesn’t get tired, it doesn’t get frustrated, and it does what you ask. I highly recommend getting this ball machine if you need practice like I do.
      No, I didn’t get paid for this. I full price for the machine and even missed the $15 sale on the oscillator by a few minutes. I’m just so happy that I now suck a little less than I sucked yesterday.

    On their website, I see there is also an N1, and get that these are the first and probably what will be the low-end, low-priced models, and thanks for the review. Just wondering, the slice shown on your review is very much a "floater". Can the slice height be lowered with some more pace on this model??? Thanks...

    • @feeltennis
      @feeltennis  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Based on what Nisplay shared with me regarding the N1 and N2 models, the differences are quite subtle. The N2 has more consistent motor performance, it has a battery indicator, improved angle adjustment knob and more color options. And yes, you can lower the ball flight more than I did in the video. I was more looking if I can see the backspin coming out the machine which of course I did and was impressed that the N2 can vary the spins so well.

    Thanks for this! Can it send you low "knifing" slice? Can it do a "hand feed?"

    Excellent well-considered review. If I can make a suggestion for improving the value of the review, I recommend you publish a list of the settings, including the height, for each of the drills you ran, e.g., for topspin shots from the baseline, set the machine motor Top @ 6, Bottom @ 3, with the height at 30 degrees. My only negative about the machine (which I just received and used for the first time) is that you cannot control it from your phone or watch, as opposed to having to use the silly looking remote with an extendable antenna! I also wish Nisplay sold a cover for the unit, preferably one with a slot through which to extend the handle.

    @feeltennis How about motor noise compared to the other machine Slinger bag pro? On some videos seems to be a little noisy.

    • @feeltennis
      @feeltennis  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, motor noise is fine, not a noisy machine...

  • @twinwankel
    @twinwankel 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Decent price but the battery and balls are separate from the machine so you have tote those around. I like the slinger bag concept. Everything in bag. The only negative is that it can't produce underspin or flat balls.

    • @rbrianharris
      @rbrianharris 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Happy to have balls separate. Keeps weight down. On serve practice days I don't want the machine anyway.

    One thing I believe you couldn't do with this machine is a sequence. For example a sequence of a deeper groundstroke ball, followed by a shorter ball to hit an approach on. Do you think that is a big deal? I think I would mostly just want to hit the same ball a bunch of times in a row but it would also be nice to do the sequences.

    • @feeltennis
      @feeltennis  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most ball machines are designed for getting a lot of repetitions so that you can groove in your technique. If you want more complex sequences, look into the Sportbot ball machine: th-cam.com/video/eD6dT0Qgcc0/w-d-xo.html

    • @gregchamberlain7554
      @gregchamberlain7554 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not a big deal, and if it is then you purchase one that allows for mixing shots. Make sure your ball are not a mixture of used match balls.
      This thing is more consistent if you use pressureless balls. If all you like is to work on technique and form this one is decent.
      The oscillator works, but 26 Ib machine has a struggle staying place on the oscillator when used over a period of time in a session. This certainly changes the angle of the balls being tossed
      The sad part!! None of these reviewers are telling us this, since lots of them seems to have gotten a machine at a discount or maybe free from Nisplay it seems.

    • @feeltennis

    Maybe I missed it, but including the price in the video would've been nice.
    The machine seems very nice, but to know if it's worth buying, you need to know the price. You might even include it under "pros", because 1000$ for a ball machine that can produce different spins seems very good to me.

    Looks like a cute & compact ball machine but just like my SP machine . it Can do spins heights but on the oscillator, you cannot control the angle it shoots(Like my SP ) I am too old to hit ground strokes and run corner to corner for long. All you can do is bring machine up closer to net. I really would like a machine that shoots, say half way between sidelines I was hoping this external oscillator was adjustable looks like it id not Great and honey review though

    Great video! I am looking into this machine. Are you using pressurized or pressureless balls ?

    • @feeltennis

      I prefer pressurized balls, healthier for the arm... I'd rather pay more for tennis balls than for a wrist surgery. ;)

    I'm hearing that these machines fall off the oscillator, when moving back and forwards. Also told that they rat8ing of 68 MPH is not that speed once the ball crosses to the other side of the court. Basically you get 68 MPH as the ball leaves the chute. Also, they don't have a warranty facility in the US, so you will have to ship that machine to China (how much does that cost?).
    They list a New Jersey address I believe, but it take more than 3 weeks for one of their machines to arrive here if ordered...
    Lastly, if you sent a 3 week old machine in for a warranty assessment, and they say is not a warranty issue, who is paying for the shipping back to you? People are recommending this machine because they are being sent to the for free in lots of cases.

    • @7ayraan

      What ball machines do you recommend that don't have issues you mentioned? I like Proton and Lobster, but they are too expensive. Pongbot has a new one to be released on kickstarter but we don't know if it's gonna happen for sure

    • @gregchamberlain7554
      @gregchamberlain7554 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@7ayraan its not a matter of the machines not having issues, The larder point is that the reviewers don't bother top tell you the issues that exist. So, they are leading people to believe that machines like the Nisplay N1 and N2 don't have problems when used with the oscillator.
      Do the N1 and N2 function with out issue when used alone without an Oscillator??... Well yes, if you don't count the tendency to find that the last ball is left perch on a self ion the top of the loading chute.
      I have had enough conversation with Nisplay that I know they are aware of the issue, but they don't seem to want to fix the design flaw.
      What they instead try to do is get you to do modifications to the machine on you own, which could possibly cause me warranty issues on a machine that is only 3 months old.
      They did have me purchase the rubber anti skid pad, and to no avail it did not work. So they I was told to use 2 of them.. Basically they tried to have me experimenting with my money...lol!!!
      The issue is that the Nisplay machine are top heavy when sitting on top of the oscillator. As a result the 30 plus pounds weight (adding balls in the hopper) shift until that machine is ready to slide off the oscillator.
      I worked with a kids summer tennis program that had a Lobster. However I cant attest to how well it works, since they never set it up.

    What are your top 3 ball machines?

    • @feeltennis
      @feeltennis  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven't tested that many but this one is definitely more practical and versatile than the one I reviewed before. It's priced around 1000 USD so you must always keep value in mind and what you actually need. There are better machines out there with more options that cost 2000 USD and more but the question is whether you need all those features. In most cases I would say that you don't and that this N2 model gives you everything you need at recreational level...
