This is beautiful art. I'm happy to come from the "what is yoga" video to listen to your work. This feels like an old folk song that you'd hear in tangled I LOVE IT!
Had to take a peek at the translation, Filip, as it is apparent this song is unmissable but has, knowing your work, much more to offer. Delighted to have a 'new' poet to explore.
Beautiful music. Had to plug the lyrics into Google translate, and they're amazing too! Not surprised that the great philosopher of religion is also a poet and musician.
I usually listen to metal or West Asian folk, so I am picky for songs of this genre, but the instrumental melody and the singer's background has made this highly enjoyable. Rock on, from a Muslim.
I was struggling with my mental health a lot today. I listened to your beautiful song on repeat and I danced to it and it has made me feel a lot better.
It's an incredible coincidence to find this alongside your channel as I've been listening to Norwegian and Swedish-language music for years now in America, to the point of trying to learn the languages through music. This song is so genuinely well-made in so many ways, I love it. Reminds me of the Norwegian band Vamp, another folk-rock group with lyrics inspired by poetry
Beautiful song…wonderful video! Happy to arrive here…as no doubt so many others…from your Let’s Talk Religion channel. All mind expanding, soul enriching, life affirming. My thanks and best. Would love to see a translation of the lyrics…to fully realize the songs impact. Congrats and continued success.
Filip holm, certainly one of the best spirits (روح) to approach Arabic Music . Been waiting and expecting so much more ... Glad to hear your ART ❤ You certainly Could do so much better.
Thank you! It isn't Tunisian consciously at least. That melody is very scandinavian in nature, I would say. But I'm sure there can be certain similarities sometimes.
@@FilipHolm Det hoppas jag också. Om du håller i öppna föreläsningar skulle jag gärna komma på dem också. Din kanal Let´s Talk Religion är oerhört intressant och du gör ett fantastiskt viktigt arbete där. Tack!
My ancestors from my paternal line were nords. We came from a noble british house, when we sided with Queen Mary over the other queen she awarded my ancestry a manor called Costessy Hall. They would continue to build and build on top of it making it exquisitely grand regardless as to if they could afford it lol. During I think world war 1 or one of the former wars the man who resided over Costessy didn't want soldiers in the village destroying everyones homes so he housed the soldiers in Costessy Hall instead. The last of the line died out in the early 1900's when the manor was seized by the lunacy committee. Now its been demolished

What a magnificent waltz, the sort one saves for the last dance of the evening with one's favorite partner. Beautiful.
That's beautiful! Thank you!
Love this tune, it's very still. Zini is definitely not merely a side project, but legit artists deserving of notice.

Did you put it through some translator, or did you find a reliable one? Because I'm interested, too. Could you perhaps share it?

Unexpected comparison but I'll take it! Thank you!
@FilipHolm referring more to the vocals, rather than the music. Very beautiful and slightly haunting.

Glad I stopped by. Refreshing to hear this extremely original music. Vox sounds great - bass - everything.
No sick guitar solo shredding at the end? I'm disappointed. (Nah, I'm kidding, it's an amazing song)
I was tempted, of course!
This is better than Opeth's newer stuff
High praise!

is it possible you would provide a rough translation to english for us dropouts? the goog is being.. less than helpful
from google translate:
It's approaching from a whisper somewhere'
a wonderfully reconciling sound
An intoxicating dance, and I go into a trance
when the sparks burn my skin
It splatters from a holy grail
which dwells deepest in the souls
An entire ocean, the drink of life, a Koran
and a sigh from the self of the worlds
But tell me your name
whispered the self we cannot see
The drink is the god at play
and we are the stream that became
A beautiful and broken monad of life
a glimpse of your holy city
It spreads, all boundaries die out
and we breathe you in every leaf
In woman as in every man
in the trees and by every stone
A glimmer of light it was, albeit fleeting and cool
A remnant of the light from the Grail
But tell me your name
whispered the self we cannot see
The drink is the god at play
and we are the stream that became
This one isn't bad, although "broken month of life" is mistranslated. It should be a "broken monad of life".
