In this video we show you how to fill your Moroccan pouf with
    1. Newspaper balls
    2. Pillows with a bit of textiles
Other methods describes in the blog post are
    3. old clothes and textiles
    4. Polystyrene beads
    5. Foam Shredding
The most know type of Moroccan pouf is the round leather Moroccan pouf. These beautiful home accent pieces are traditionally filled with old clothes and textiles as described in the second point of the blog post, but this can get challenging when dealing with larger poufs or ottomans. How you fill your Moroccan pouf will also affect the pouf's characteristics like feel and resilience. It'a important to match the stuffing type with the intended use of the item. We show you how to fill one of our oversized velvet Moroccan poufs with two very different stuffings for different uses.
Another important point to take into account is the ecological impact of the pouf stuffing. Traditionally, Moroccans fill their poufs with used materials, giving them a second life before throwing aways. Some easy options like bean bag filling falls short of the perfect texture, but also has a terrible impact on the environment. It should be avoided.
Make filling your ottoman a fun activity for all the family.

I brought two leather poofs back from morocco. Not sure if it’s goat or camel but the smell is awful. I have left him in a well ventilated area for about a month hoping that would get rid of the smell but it has not. Do you know how I can get rid of the smell?

You can treat it with normal hand creme or special creme for leather surfaces

Its the chemicals used in the tanning process. You need to flip it inside out and apply leather polish on the inside and then a clear one on the outside that should help block the chemicals until they naturally dissipate.
