Clever
One of the things I like to do most in Magic is summon powerful creatures that are hard to deal with once resolved. Normally I'd turn to green or tron, but the cards in this deck look so powerful and so fun to play with. Black magic has provided me with another way to do what I love, I think I need this deck.
Part of me wants everyone to see this... And another part no body.
good reanimate targets: akroma (white akroma), sheoldred, grave titan, drakuseth, avacyn, iona, reya dawnbringer (not good as sheoldred!), ulamog, elder garoth, griselbrand, iona shield of emeria & spark double. spark double could copy legendarys and enters with a +1 +1 counter if its a creature with 1loyality counter if you copy a planeswalker. even it don´t count as legendary creature or planeswalker.
Reanimator is very close to my heart. When I got into magic my first deck was Graveborn. It was so fun to play and tweak as I got a better understanding of magic and it only lost one match and that was to my other deck (orzhov life drain) that I let a friend play with. So 👍🏼
I run a similar kitchen table deck but my creatures are almost entirely "Rise of the Eldrazi" eldrazi. Turn 1 entomb with animate dead in hand, search Pathrazer of Ulamog, turn 2 Play animate dead on PoU, turn 3 gg when almost all their permanents get sacked. Got some It That Betrays in the as well for some good permanent stealing. 👍
I absolutely love graveyard based decks and this looks super fun to me. As an aside thanks for turning me on to Chancellor of the Annex. I didn't even know that card existed and it will go perfectly in my Karlov "Tax Collector" commander deck.

Some tips from my Reanimate Legacy Deck:
Putrid Imp, it's a cheap 1 drop creature, and it's great for discarding your big creatures;
And Pathrazer of Ulamog/Ulamog's Crusher are great choices of creatures to screw up your opponent using Annihilator.
I believe the only thing cheaper that can do a fine job is Manaless Dredge. Primarily because Manaless Dredge doesn't have lands. Nor does it really care about countermagic. However, it is even weaker to graveyard hate. Burn is still pretty alright as well, as it always has been.

I think Sire of Insanity is a good SB target for combo decks.
I started playing this budget legacy about 3 years ago and it's great! Since then upgreated with a few FOW daze shock and fetch
But the main thing to change is instead of playing Grissel you should play jin-gitaxias, if he suvrives just a single turn you draw 7 cards and your opponent discard their entire hand, works great.
Why would you replace your best finisher?
Sensei opponent discards their entire hand and you still draw your 7 cards just without paying the life...in a legacy match forcing your opponent to discard the entire hand is a bigger win condition than hitting them for a few extra damage
Sire gets that done faster and why would you replace the demon instead of any other finisher?
Sensei because sire of insanity also discards your hand
Basically Jin gets you a 14 cards advantage, griss gives you a 7 draw and sire makes opponent discard 7
Sensei Jin gives you both seven cards extra in hand and forces your opponent to discard their hand so it does what both creatures (griss and sire) does combined

Sweet deck, Wedge. I would consider Massacre Wurm over Elesh Norn because it also drains the oponent für every creature and you can hardcast him with Ritual. Lake of the Dead may also be worth considering.

Wedge, you should show off Mono-Red Storm for Legacy if you want to showcase another budget deck for Legacy that can do crazy things. It may have even just gotten an upgrade with Bonus Round in Battlebond!
I think you should put a sideboard on your list, since it is legacy and some cards CA really lock you completely out of your deck. Nice video.

You should try sire of insanity main deck in place of norn it makes it so your opponent has 0 cards and moves to top decking turn 1

I played sneak and show against this deck at FNM the other night. He reanimated Iona against my hand full of ponders and preordains 😢
Could you potentially put a emrakul or ulamog in that deck as a reanimaton target
There are so many creatures that allow you to reanimate. Cant imagine giving a slot to a sorcery that reanimate one creature. I get that it's cheap to cast but idk seems like a waste of a card slot

For that amount you can't even buy a booster pack, friend - if you play online you should still be able to enjoy penny dreadful, and 1 dollar EDH. I also have budget constraints, but let's be realistic here, Wedge made an incredible effort here - and the deck is quite sweet.

Maestro227 most versions of this choose between Unmask or Collective Brutality instead of having both. That's why there are 2 extra spells. Usually Unmask is in the sideboard

I agree on the maindeck, it's also pretty good against let's say lands (Tidespout Tyrant can be a bit narrow). Besides you can just hardcast it, especially with the rituals.

Master Muffin 1. Entomb is the best way of getting cards into your graveyard cutting it is stupid.
2. Cutting an enabler for a finisher is also a bad idea (asuming these are balanced out which they probably are)

Hey Wedge, I love you and I love the fact you're promoting Legacy, but you've missed a great point in the sideboard. Ashen Rider is in the sideboard to beat the hell out of Show and Tell. They cast SnT, you put Ashen Rider into play and exile whatever they put into play.

(Also, if you're new and you want to invest in Reanimator, monoblack is a great deck but you'll end up wanting to buy 2-3 Badlands for access to Faithless Looting and 1 Bayou so you can include 4 copies of Reverent Silence in the sideboard to destroy opposing Leyline of the Void. The deck is great in its monoblack version, but adding 3 duals makes the deck immensely better)

I run “It that betrays” in my reanimate deck, nothing says I win like dropping that monster of a card on the first turn, you don’t have to worry about removal considering it will be giving you there mana on the second turn,, don’t play that to often cause I’m not a complete dick

Unfortunately, reanimation isn't really a viable strategy in modern. The cards that make it possible in legacy are not legal in modern. The closest you can get is with cards like Goryo's Vengeance and Through the Breach, which are both very expensive cards and they don't let the "reanimated" creature stay on the battlefield for long.

Christopher Combs belcher is far more fragile than reanimator. This version is more interactive, more solid and just a pinch more expansive than belcher

That is probably correct, caught the video while at work and finished it up while my break was ending. A friend of mine actually made a version of this some time ago that was very similar, i believe the big difference between the 2 was my friend added red for faithless looting and such. I will have to forward it to him in the morning he will get a kick out of it

Oh, true, I was thinking for some reason you put in on the field at the beggining of your first turn. Then sadness resolves like Kenobi says.
Leyline of the Void is a problem; it's the one card this deck can't deal with. There may be a sideboard option I'm unaware of, but I think the best thing this deck can do against the Leyline is have an opening hand with some land, two Dark Rituals, and Griselbrand, then pray that they don't have Force of Will or removal before you beat their face in.

I would be afraid of getting burned out with this deck....the loss of life feels risky
John Howard Burn isn't particularly popular in legacy at this point as it's decently bad. The most that other decks will run is 4 Lighting bolt and 1 forked bolt in grixis delver. Most decks can't beat a turn 2 resolved griselbrand or iona and will likely snap concede at which point they would board out lightning bolts and board in counterspells.

John Howard Despite the fact that burn is the starter deck that nearly everyone has built, a t2 griselbrand or even a t1 griselbrand can race burn especially when their best burn spell is price of progress which won't hit you since you only run basics. Overall Reanimator has a really good burn match-up just because it's significantly faster than burn can hope to be. Burn does OK against so-called fair decks like delver, miracles, death and taxes, and maverick among others.
run the rb reanimator deck, turn 1 griselbrand with another boss card, and you regain life with griselbrand

The problem with a budget deck in legacy is as soon as it becomes known to be competitive, it wont be budget anymore.
Ozrith Clay All of these cards are already played in RB Reanimator or other tiered legacy decks and therefore won't really be affected by becoming more popular outside of minor increases on cards like reanimate and entomb.

But I don't play legacy. So I admit I really don't know. But in my experience in every other format, when one deck suddenly becomes known for being cheap and competitive, one of two things happen.
1. The price shoots up to idiotic levels.

2. Key pieces get banned.
Ozrith Clay The deck doesn't win GPs but has been putting up good results for at least 5 years now and has gotten nowhere close to any pieces getting banned. The price has likely increased slightly but these cards have always been in major decks in legacy, especially the hand disruption cards.

Oh. I was under the impression this was a new deck. But to say "the cards have been legal and therefore won't go up", nope. I've seen cards in modern go sky high after years of being balk rares because a new card comboed with it.

Mono red storm is cheaper
Sometimes, yes, but Storm has the obvious issue of dealing with Control. This is a better "general" deck.
