I inherited a 1968 AMC Ambassador after my wife's grandfather passed. He was a Green Beret and fought in the Vietnam and Korean wars. I am trying to restore this car in his honor but I am in over my head. You guys make this look so easy.
It's just time and patience. When you feel like you're in over your head, break down all the big jobs into small jobs, and then all those small jobs into even smaller tasks. It'll make the difficult stuff feel a lot easier to tackle and it helps a lot more with planning out the route you need to go to get things done efficiently! You got this!
We want y'all to walk away feeling a little more informed in every video! Hot rodding is no fun if you're the only one doing it. Gotta share the knowledge with the community!
Sweet system. Stainless bros is the best. One note, please everyone back purge your stainless/ti system. You are taking years off your system if you don't. If you are making a stainless turbo header, you need to 100% back purge, so there is no sugaring(massive oxide contamination on the inside of the weld, protrudes into the exhaust). The sugar can break off and destroy a turbo and potentially a motor.
awesome show. There are many good reasons the drive-line in these trucks is off center. seems like a pain for small things but if it was centered it would be much more of a pain for a lot of things. truck is great! I'm into the bumpsides but this show made me think about the roomier dentsides :)
You actually don't want the cuts in the x-pipe to be in the center in the bends like that. You want them further towards the back (end of the exhaust) of the bends so that exhaust pressure isn't fighting eachother. You can cut more towards the back (the top if you're looking at it top-down) and take a piece of the ends you cut off and make a curve. You basically want to make a Y pipe with a smooth curve at the v in the Y with the bottom of the Y having tails that both exhaust go into. Ideally you wouldn't use an X pipe and make the exhaust true dual exhaust. Especially handy for diagnoses.
Never had good luck with Fords. Had a 72 F250 that looked perfect but never ran right. Had a 75 Chevy Nova that ran awesome and currently have a 77 squarebody that looks like crap but runs like a beast. Chevy seems to work better for me but I love the looks of Fords.
Man long story short, the customer took the truck home, “temporarily “ in the first 48 hrs he ran it so hard he managed to damage the motor. We are waiting to get the truck back into the shop so we can fix it and get those final videos shot.
Love the videos, love the build! Quality is fantastic however the FPS seems to be really off (almost like 15 fps) I was just wondering what camera/export settings you're using, could be the smallest fix but it would make a world of difference! Keep at it, channel will grow with the high quality custom builds you guys are pumping out!
Thanks for watching and thank you for the feedback. The video is exported at 24 fps, but we are getting a bit more traffic on this video than usual. Whatever server TH-cam is hosting the video on might be getting a bit throttled which is why you might be seeing some lag/fps drop while watching. We appreciate the heads up and hope you stick around for next week's video!
such a nice truck... one question tho how much did this build cost or how much did the interior cost just wondering cause i wanna run the same setup on my 79 chevy ... but nice truck i love it!!!
The “Green Goblin” is a good name. I don’t like coyote engines. I like the old school truck 🛻 though. A supercharged 7.3 or 351 Clevor supercharged would’ve been the bomb!
I’ve got a ford f100 ranger and I’m planning on doing a whole frame off restro but My nearest car show is 40 mins away and I don’t want to spend 40 dollars on gas after I finish it, what is the best engine to go with for long drives
I know I'm late to watching this, but why didn't you back purge all those welds on the stainless exhaust? did you use solar flux? or is back purging only required for exhaust components before the cat? Please get back to me! Thanks in advance!
How much would you guys charge to completely do? My Ford f-100 1970 XLT ranger long bed has a 400 big block. The cops smashed the bed and someone hit and ran my front end. Other than that it's not bad any new floor panels but I just can't find a good shop here in Ohio near Canton, Ohio. Anybody got any of ice needs a whole new wire harness. They tried to steal it instead of just popping the clutch and pushing it. They ripped the whole wire harness. Somebody please send me the right direction to a great shop!
where is the rest of the videos for this build???? I just watched all these videos back to back and my nuts got tugged when there was no completion video what dose it look now? where is the dyno video? why no video S2S
We were having some issues with our dyno tuner. The truck is complete, but we wanted it running at 100% before ripping fat burnouts on video! We also did some modifications to the exhaust as well! If you're having serious withdrawals, type in "Vossen F100" on TH-cam. They did a killer video for this truck once it was in the final stages!
its nice, but with that huge exhaust right next to the rubber hoses, wiring i wouldn't expect them to last long. And why would u complain about how tight space is? u put the hoses, etc into that space. i get, it is a show-er not a daily driver.
I'm hating on yall so badly right now.... I see what I want my rust bucket to look like, but with my finances that will be 200 years from now.... the green goblin is pure beauty!!! Well I'll go and close my eyes and rub my Rustine hopefully she doesn't realize I'm having a mental affair on her...
Just start with a junkyard 5.0 or even just a big cam for the motor you got in it now and just slowly start chipping away at it! Tag us in your progress on IG too. We'd love to see what you're working on!

Some crazy exhaust hangers. Makes my fence wire hangers feel cheap.
If they get the job done then that's what matters!
That is the sickest truck and it sounds amazing fella's, glad I found your channel.
Looking forward to seeing the completion.
Those hangers make it look hi-tech as fuck, great job guys it's gunna be a sick ride.
Deeds has some nice products! Thanks for the support!

Love that truck grew up in one like that and our salvage yard badass dude it's badass
Thank you!
Badass build dude my dream truck
Thank you so much!!

Awesome install. Tons of great tips in there

There's no reason you can't have a dentside AND a bumpside lol! We're glad you liked the video. We got another one coming out this Wednesday!
That might be the best looking exhaust system I'v ever seen, tight.

This is a really well done show. Whoever pieces it together visually does a great job. Great cool music and clear explainations from the guys. A+
Very clean job, especially exhaust, cool
Appreciate it, our goal is to be clean and detailed on all our builds
Good Morning thanks S2S for another great video. Insane skills guys.
Our pleasure! Thanks so much for the love and support. We really appreciate it!

so 30" around not long?

I think you should of put those exhaust hangers after those heavy mufflers

The coyotes aren't too bad but I'd look at an ecoboost or something if you're only looking for fuel economy

What happened to finishing this F100 series?!
Lads! Where is Ep.09?
Sick build so far. Been ages between vids... Did you blow it in the dyno?
No we didn’t, definitely had some tuning issues that hopefully will get ironed out this week. Then we can finish off the series. 🤘🏽💯
No seat belts? Aside from that, how much does it cost to have a truck modified like that?
There are seat belts. Safety first. 👌🏼 a truck like this is 6 figures
Impressive
