She is by far one my favorites if not the favorite on this entire show! Such a relatable character and her growth was beautiful to see I’m so glad they gave us the ending that we wanted with Luka 🥹
I like dance scene, but love the ending when Luka is there waiting for her so the Kovac family could ride away together. Luka and Abby were a beautiful love story!

Going back to the moment Luby first met and first dated in season 7, it didn’t matter they broke up back then it was that Abby was brought into Lukas life to start the strong foundation of their love and it was apparent they loved each other deeply even when they weren’t dating after the first break up. Luka looked at her with such intense love and passion for her and Abby loved him hard you could always see it in her eyes. She cared about him always even when they dated others. Timing was everything but with Carter gone the second round it was perfect. They were able to nourish that love and Joe made it solid as steel. I was so thankful for Abby because of how much Luka lost in his life. Carol was so right, Luka was a wonderful man and he’d meet the person who deserved him.
I revisit the entire Series of ER every couple of years and this scene always gets me. Always loved these 2 - Troy Evans (the actor who played Frank) never gets enough credit for playing a brilliant role.

My opinion the roll of Abby Lochart played by Maura Tierney was one of the main reasons why ER stayed on the air years after Mark Greens death. The show seemed to be more about her than even Noah Wiley. Show all of her life's struggles from nurse to doctor to mom. ER was an amazing show for so many reasons. The one big one was that the camera would follow the actors from one room to the other. it was more like you following the actor opposed to just watching them. That had never been done on television before that. Michael Crichton was the mast and writer of the show. He past shortly before the show end 2008.
Obviously, the show is halved, the Mark half, and the non Mark half. They killed off too many characters, unnecessarily, as the latter half went on. Or just losing characters. I had no problem with Carter being 'the star' but I agree, this turned into the Abby show also, and I'm very okay with that. Tierney was (is) brilliant. But Rocket getting killed, Pratt and Gallant being killed off...main characters were dying/killed so often the last few years, it wasn't even surprising anymore. I think losing Corday really hurt the show too; there weren't enough POWERFUL, strong, female leads on here without her. (Again, LOVE Tierney, not taking away from her, and Innes has her moments, but she doesn't do it for me) and losing Luka sucked too. I know Archie we only got (what season 10 he started popping around?) but I can't help but love him and his character.
@@thurman1701 I think Rocket being killed opened up the door for Corday to leave but his death was completely pointless. I thought the helicopter crash was a cool twist but Rockets death was too much. I think Gallant and Neela had more potential for deeper storylines and Gallant did not need to be killed off. With Corday that could have brought Rachel back a few times but that was difficult to do because she was in St. Louis, we barely saw her when Mark was still alive and she lived in St. Louis. I still think that move storyline was kind of pointless. Other than that giving her the finding love again after Mark died.
100%. They were really good friends IRL (still are), and I feel like that came through really well in their scenes. They both absolutely loved the Abby/Luka story and really threw themselves into it. For me, they’re the best (and most realistic) couple on the show.

There's two very sneaky throwbacks in here to Mark Greene. First, the music played during their dance is from "Orion in the Sky", when Mark was leaving the ER for the last time. The second is, the dance she teaches Frank is the tango - the only dance Mark knows and the one he dances with Elizabeth in "Rites of Spring".

Right! After 16 seasons Grey´s really is not as good anymore. Just keep watching out of habbit. Wish it would stop allready. ER could have kept going for so many more seasons, I loved it from the pilot till the end! ER is the show that got me hooked on medical drama
I've just started the season 15 of ER. It's so strange! That different music, even other sounds are a little different. And different cinematography. I saw the scene of Pratt's death and no feelings! But the scene with leaving Abby is pretty. A little "old ER" style.

@@_Lane_ while I agree that season 14 was weak, I don’t at all agree that season 15 was weak. The first episode, when Pratt died? Heartbreaking, but a great episode. The third one, when Abby left? Also a sad but great episode. Episode five and the return of Shane West as Ray was a great episode. Episode seven had the flashback with Dr. Green and Romano. That was an awesome episode. Noah Wylie was back for several episodes with a great story arc. We got the return of several other major characters, including a whole episode featuring Doug and Carol. Season 15 was very strong with awesome episodes. The ratings were higher for season 15 than they had been for several seasons.
I don't think any other Network show had a better final season. At least 3 of the best 10 episodes all come from Season 15. I also hope that the guys who were responsible for changing the opening title credits and theme music have long since been fired.

Exactly! I don’t get why people don’t understand that a good relationship isn’t always sunshine and roses. You work together to be happy and love each other, even when there are problems. That’s what Abby and Luka did, and it’s beautiful. It’s much more realistic than so many other “fairy tale endings” that shows like to feed us.

I loved season 13, seeing them together throughout that season was beautiful... season 14 was HORRIBLE AND TOTALLY UNNECESSARY overall and for what they did to them and Ray.
Off topic but i want to see the scene where Luka is remembering choosing between his wife and child in the rubble in Croatia. Horrible to have to go through that but awesome flashback for the character
I'm up to mid season 5. Carol just talked to Doug about her pregnancy and he's not coming back. Mark and Elizabeth are sparking !! Definitely so much better than Grey's !! E.R. had the talented actirs and actresses, writers and creator !

Grey's doesn't hold a candle to this show!! They tried to be the new ER but failed miserably.
I watched Greys anatomy first then watched ER. I couldn’t complete greys anatomy. It’s nothing compared by ER and it’s kinda copycats it.

Abby y Luka.... 😭💔💕💕💕 and this is where ER ended... without Abby and Luka, who were the last specials (and for whom I kept watching the series) there was no reason to continue... I loved season 13, seeing them together throughout that season was beautiful... season 14 was HORRIBLE AND TOTALLY UNNECESSARY overall and for what they did to them and Ray.
