Sir Killalot was probably my favorite as a kid watching this, and it still might be. I like how many of the teams look to be dads with their kids along with them.
As they said, Sir Killalot is much heavier than the other robots, so it's virtually impossible to upend him in the arena. Unless he steps on the Flipper...
Not really because both Gemini robots had to conform with the weight limit as a unit. So each one was 50Kg and if one became immobilised they were out. Also when they came up against quality opposition (e.g. Razer and Tornado) they got bullied around because they were so light and finally the cluster-bot idea has been found out as more of a gimmick than a series winning strategy.
That's kind of Gemini's thing, it splits apart into two smaller robots. It's a high risk, high reward strategy. If one of the parts is immobalized, both of them are counted as out of commission since they split from the same bot.
There was a robot that competed in the Dutch series that was a three robot cluster-bot. I believe it was called V3. I like the cluster-bot ingenuity it keeps the competition interesting.
There was a robot with a plexiglass top, owner was a man that look'd like a women. That robot airborned sir k once. It was a tiny but had a very strong flipper.
yea that sounds about right...i didnt mean it was robot wars but it was kinda based on it with loads of the robot wars teams making bots for this series aswell >>
Sir Killalot by name, Sir Killalot by nature, Sir Killalot rocks Sir Killalot is me fvae house robot coz of the destruction he causes to the battle robots like Bigger Brother and Hyponodisc
i know the robots move by controls but because we never see the house robot operators it always looks like sir killalot and the gang have a life of their own
you need a counter weigth on the rear of that robot so when it picks up other robots it dosen,t tip over onto its tip toe,s..!! just like a track machine when its digging on a banking with a full bucket of earth..!!
Interesting video, but I'd rather not think of the House Robots as heteronomous. I always accepted the idea of the teams controlling their own robots, but i still think of the House Robots as independent, conscious machines, which, if you grew up with the show, will make sense.
@twirlingchair they have a game like that for pc its Robot arena 2 and its online multiplayer and you dont need any high performace computer to play it
i use to think they controlled them selfs when i use to watch them as a kid XD but its team of men who i think were the ones who built them their selfs
the way it works though if 1 of those 2 robots is incapacitated then the entire robot is deemed defeated. Also despite there being 2, it means each 1 is possibly half the weight of a prospective opponent, imagine a 100kg robot slamming a 50kg one into the sidewall. I have seen that 2 part "clusterbot" lose due to that rule. Its risk v reward, 2 independant flippers v greater vulnerability
I love Battlebots. I have grown up watching it and Nightmare is mt favorite bot of all time. That said. Some of you need a reality check. All of the bots that are the heavy hitters these days weigh in at the 250LB limit Battlebots has set. Tombstone, etc.. The original.Sir Killalot weighed almost 1,200LBs. One of his arms is literally the Jaws Of Life used to cut through vehicles....only a stronger version. The new Sir Killalot weighs 1,650 pounds and has a hydraulic arm with 2.5 tons of crushing force. He rolls on mini bulletproof caterpillar tracks. Tombstone, Ice Wave, Nightmare...would all bounce off like a kid shooting a pellet gun.
Give it enough time and Killalot would fail from sheer abuse. Best way to explain is that, what Killalot has in size, he loses in speed and agility. The size keeps him safe, but if he's attacked repeatedly by something faster, he'll fail unless the other driver is stupid enough to send their bot into his clamp.
they had rules for 'cluster bots' like that, if you stop 1, you win and they weren't all they heavy or powerful (they didn't show the stats but i remember the bot, wasn't tough relatively speaking)
Which is a silly rule, because they increased the weight limit for walkers since they were understood to be weak, but not for clusterbots even though they were objectively terrible. The new series at least changed it so that cluster bots needed over 50% of their weight capacity to be incapacitated before they were considered beaten, so two bots would be in the game even if one is taken out. Nuts used those mini bots pretty well before the show was cancelled, I think it made things a LOT more fun.
They were "house robots" There were originally 4 - Sir Killalot, Matilda, Shunt, and Dead Metal, but they added Sgt. Bash later on. If a robot went into the corners of the arena (known as the CPZ), the house robot sat in that corner would attack. Also, if a match went on for too long and there was an obvious loser, they would just leave the corners and smash it up.
Welshhobo1 Pretty sure Sir Killalot was introduced later, and Sgt. Bash was one of the originals. Granted, he's known as basically the king of House Bots (aka a slow nearly unstoppable monster), but Bash was first.
Sgt Bash was there before Killalot. I seem to recall at some point there was another one like Killalot in terms of being huge. But with a big hammer? Can't remember what it was called.
I always found Sir Killalot quite sexy. In fact I have 2 Sir Killalot Radio Control toys. But they both had gear problems where one wheel has stopped working. But with a little care with the disassembly of Sir Killalot and the disassembly of the housing where the wheel gears are, a little crazy glue between the shaft and the lose gear will do the trick. I fixed one of my RC models like that, but need to fix the other one. From what I've read there was a lot of problems on these Big Sir Killalot toys in case anyone has one.
Sir Killalot was probably my favorite as a kid watching this, and it still might be. I like how many of the teams look to be dads with their kids along with them.
reminds me of good times on saturday afternoons lol.
I remember my dad getting me a remote-controlled Sir Killalot for my 10th birthday, think it cost like 70-80 quid
My favorite Sir Killalot moments are when he squashed beefcake and when he fell into the pit. I laughed so much! Great memories!
It's funny how Sir Killalot pushes Bigger Brother in the Pit afterwards just out of revenge for Shunt getting flipped over.
Killalot has a lot of history with Bigger Brother. Just ask Comengetorix
"THE MAN HIMSELF!!!!.... Colin.."
LOL
Oh I miss Robot wars so much, it was my favourite program during my childhood
sir killalot is like zeus from Real Steel because he picks up all the bots and throws them xD
the new sir killalot doesn't hold a candle to the old one.
Unless Apollo gets lucky next season???
the final looked a lot like the torch got passed on from chaos 2 and hypnodisc to apollo and carbide to me.
I remember this ^.^ So many memories! Glad they're showing repeats on dave!
THE CONTROLLER, THE MASTER, THE BEATS BEHIND SIR KILLALOT:
Colin.
They're bringing back Robot Wars! Rejoice!
No one can push Killalot..
Anyone remember the time Killalot was pushed into the pit? :P
Kevin Rouse he has been flipped once
@@HH-uj5ln what episode?
Tricerabot
Sir Killalot was always my favourite house robot
i wanna see all the house robots clash with each other
One day the people are going to make a mech who can take on Killalot.
can't help but feel like carbide could do it :)
"Never in a million lightyears!" -commentator

LOL
The only House Bot that could nver be flipped
I feel like ziggy could probably flip it
what happened to robot wars?i used to watch it all the time i loved it.i still remember when razor killed matilda.
As they said, Sir Killalot is much heavier than the other robots, so it's virtually impossible to upend him in the arena. Unless he steps on the Flipper...
Sir Killalot can't be invincible if he has a petrol driven engine. Petrol is flammable!
I always found it funny when they said Killalot had no weaknesses, but they neglect to mention he's flammable, lol
And his tracks, supernova ripped one off
henaz if it werent for you i could never see these shows thank you so much for posting these :DDDD
Always wanted to see someone Batter sir killalot

Most of the highlights were on Robot wars Extreme warriors season 2.
Brandon Joyner no doubt
Killalot wasnt on fire. His hellish side was just having fun.
heres a fitting name 3 Stegs to Heaven? 3 Stegs to hell more like it :3.
He may be front-heavy. He may be flammable. But God help you if he grabs you. Sir Killalot Takes Crap From NOBODY!!! XD
Killalot is a machine, but he more like an real life working machine rather than a hobby made thing.
his only weakness is his tracks,
0:22 _..disco rave theme starts playing in the background.. as Balerio begins to tWiRL.._ *and TwErK fRanTicALLy*
0:51 it was a Zionist duck-bot _..Schindler's List theme plays in the background..with Ampulio AvIdLy looking on, eyes full of Wild Glee.._
There was a robot that competed in the Dutch series that was a three robot cluster-bot. I believe it was called V3. I like the cluster-bot ingenuity it keeps the competition interesting.
Wow, Sir Killalot was so part of the game I never realised what an awesome machine this is xD
Miss this show.
There was a robot with a plexiglass top, owner was a man that look'd like a women.
That robot airborned sir k once. It was a tiny but had a very strong flipper.
I have him as a toy as a kid
my childhood right there.
Well that plan
*sunglasses*
backfired.
brilliant 2nd battle...bigger brother..
yea that sounds about right...i didnt mean it was robot wars but it was kinda based on it with loads of the robot wars teams making bots for this series aswell >>
Well hey, at least some of the bots like Ruf Ruf had a neat design anyhow :P
Sir Killalot by name, Sir Killalot by nature,
Sir Killalot rocks
Sir Killalot is me fvae house robot coz of the destruction he causes to the battle robots like Bigger Brother and Hyponodisc
Yo it's Gemini! who makes a dog with no weapon...
yo i never saw the shunt ever get flipped before! I figured it's low profile wouldn't allow that!
i heard he was put into a museum or something with the other house robots and some famous competitors like chaos 2
did they make another killalot for the reboot or did they use the old an put special bits on him?
The pit release button was not pushed in the fight that was between Bigger brother and 3 stegs to Heaven.
0:19 _Sir Killalot, the 'Master of Mayhem' (and sECReTLy Commander 2..)_ *DiScOmBoBuLaTeS iNTo aCtIoN..*
Sir killalot pushed shunt in there. What the heck was up with that!
i know the robots move by controls but because we never see the house robot operators it always looks like sir killalot and the gang have a life of their own

Intriguing. Never considered it that way... I had the assumption that it was a loophole in the rulebook.
i would have loved to see Toro from battle bots fight sir killa lot.
I was kinda expecting them to call Collin "Heath" by the looks of him.
No, Mr Psycho wasn't around at this point, but Was in development.
@acephantom903 There was also a PS2 game called Robot Wars: Arenas of Destruction
I feel bad for doogle:(
Shunt got flipped!
lol
i heard that chuck norris controls sir killalot with his mind
if there were ever a juggernaut weight class, would sir kills-a-lot be apart of it?
so much nostalgia
killalot ftw killalot best robot of them all
That wasn't part of Robot Wars per se, but it sounds cool.
sir K was feeling bad about the dog bot....so he just finished it quickly.
I wonder what happened to Killalot after the show finished.... Probably sitting in a shed somewhere... Or parts.
5:53 taking out the trash
I thought bigger brother will flip killalot when he was circling around him
Interesting video, but I'd rather not think of the House Robots as heteronomous. I always accepted the idea of the teams controlling their own robots, but i still think of the House Robots as independent, conscious machines, which, if you grew up with the show, will make sense.
@Headbanger142 Also Mortis chraged at killalot knocking the helmet a little
shunt got flipped
LOL
that puppy bot is so cute
@twirlingchair They had a PC game called "Robot Arena 3:Design and Destroy" It is a bit old but still pretty fun. No online though. Sorry.
seen about battle bots I heard that they bought all the house robots and molds etr
what id like to see is if razer could actually take killalot on
killalots facee looks like something from predator
@twirlingchair they have a game like that for pc its Robot arena 2 and its online multiplayer and you dont need any high performace computer to play it
whats the bot with the skull on it
i use to think they controlled them selfs when i use to watch them as a kid XD but its team of men who i think were the ones who built them their selfs

Mr Psyco weighs about 2 half stone , Sir Killalot weighs around 3 Stone
Too bad sir killalot can't use it like the real jaws of life and simply cut the robot in half with the claw.
dude this killalot looks like a predator from the movie lol hell wiked robot ownin the others lol
travelled back in time and fought in the battle of hastings :|
yea even i use to think they lied about the weight but i think mr phsyco defently weighs over 500kg
Although his weakness was that he could get set on fire rather easily
Werent sir killalot/matilda/shunt bosses cuz i remember theyd come out during battles

@@DGneoseeker1 Mr Psycho.
@@carlomalijan8001 Thanks, yes, that's the one.
they can be put together as one so it kinda counts as one
sit killalot is my favorite ! ! !
I forgot the exact wieght but Mr. Phsyco is 33% heavier than Sir. Killalot. Also the show lies about thier wieght.
wow really man i would of thought mr psyco would weigh more considering he was bigger than killalot
Psycho did weigh more than
Sir Killalot backstabed Big Brother badly xD
@MegaDevinc his the chuck norris of robot wars

I cant find It but I could have sworn I saw a ep of sir killalot getting flipped by a tiny bot. anyone else see this?
thats the real terminator ;P
@twirlingchair its called ROBOT ARENA 2 !! >.<
you can build ANYTHING.. even sir. killalot
Well the Gemini twins were pretty small and had to abide by the clusterbot rule.
I think you mean George francis and Chaos 2, and no they tried but he was never actually flipped!
Shame the all about sir killalot bit was short :(
I always wanted to know more about the hydraulics like it's crushing force and driving power ... :(
