@@StevensBookReviews Nope it's easy to miss though because they aren't named (But it is confirmed in a bonus unreleased chapter that takes place inbetween AB and Throne of Glass called the Captain and the Prince which you can find online). That one had a SWORD, she noticed, and from his tensed shoulders, she could tell he wasn't entirely pleased to be here. But the lips of the ringleader parted in a grin as he stalked into the crowd. She twisted to see SAPPHIRE eyes gleaming at her. "Are you from Melisande?" She swayed with the music. "Perhaps." His smile grew. She itched to pull off the mask. Any young nobles who were out at this hour were certainly not here for innocent purposes. Still-- who was to say that she couldn't have some fun, too? "What's your name?" he asked above the roar of the music. She leaned close. "My name is Wind," she whispered. "And Rain. And Bone and Dust. My name is a snippet of a half-remembered song." He chuckled, a low, delightful sound. She was drunk, and silly, and so full of the glory of being young and alive and in the capital of the world that she could hardly contain herself. "I have no name," she purred. "I am whoever the keepers of my fate tell me to be." He grasped her by the wrist, running a thumb along the sensitive skin underneath. "Then let me call you Mine for a dance or two." She grinned, but someone was suddenly between them, a tall, powerfully built person. Sam. He ripped the stranger's hand off her wrist. "She's spoken for," he growled, all too close tot he young man's masked face. The stranger's friend was behind him in an instant, his BRONZE eyes fixed on Sam. Celaena grabbed Sam's Elbow. "Enough," she warned him. The masked stranger looked Sam up and down, then held up his hands. "My mistake," he said, but winked at Celaena before he disappeared into the crowd, his ARMED friend close behind. It is a neat little cameo with Dorian being his usual flirty self and Chaol his usual I don't want to be here self.
@@StevensBookReviews there are 6!! bonus chapters for the TOG series! 3 before HOF, One right after HOF, and 2 after EOS. def find at least the one after HOF (the dinner) cause its referenced later! (also there are 3 bonus chapters for ACOTAR series too! make sure to read at least the Azriel one!)
Hey, thanks for this! I bought all eight of these books on e-book and audiobook, but it has been ROUGH trying to get into these and actually catch the story. I couldn’t get into Throne of Glass, so I backtracked to this one. I got as far as a couple of chapters into the 2nd prequel, but remember absolutely none of that pirate story you just recounted. This may be the only way I can get through this series 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤷🏻♀️
I enjoyed this review so much more than I enjoyed the book! And I needed a refresher of what all was in here, so thank you!! I did not want to reread it 😅
It's so funny watching this having read the whole series and the things that you gloss over and say "for whatever reason" when all those things are super important in later books 😅
In the first book I dicided to invent all the pronunciation of the names, if English speakers can't i definitely can't.🙄 I pronunce Yrene as it is in spanish Irene🤷♀️
The frustration when he said, "This woman is freaking crazy," killed me😂😂😂
Random dude Celaena almost dances with when she’s drunk is Dorian, and Chaol is also there staring them down
Different book

Rolfe isn't Jack Sparrow. Celaena is Jack Sparrow! Seriously, viewing her through a lens of Jack Sparrow makes her unhinged "plans" so much better.
That’s fair 🤣
you make great book summaries
Not Sandy Cheeks 😂 Elizabeth Evans (the audiobook narrator) is so talented IMO but I could NOT get behind the choice of the southern accent lmao.
i would love to see you do the outlander series. voyager was the most fascinating 😊

😂
Thank you, Steven :)
Oh shit I just realised this was uploaded 4 days ago so we're like reading the series at the same time! That's handy!
😂 yep. I’m currently reading Heir Of Fire!
This book felt like such a chore! I just wanted to move straight on to Heir of Fire but felt obligated to read it. 😅
Your Ansel accent 🤣🤣🤣 I'm crying
This is the best review 😂 btw, I read it fourth and it was perfect for me

I read TOG at the beginning of this year and I didn’t enjoy it. These reviews however are giving it so much life that I just might reread it 🤣
How’d I miss this?!
Can’t believe you didn’t sob like a baby when she saw Sammy’s tortured body! That’s probably expecting too much from a guy 😂
2:28 she is and i was sure yrene name is ye-rne(the y like u)
Get ready for the rest of the series to get good!
