*Stephanie vs Brooke is Back!* SO glad Stephanie and Brooke are back-biting and back to being rivals. The show is driven by their feud and this scene does a good job of reconstructing it. First Brooke enters uninvited (indicating her "trespasser" status in Stephanie's life), and then she announces, "You lost and I won" (6:45) making it clear once again that Ridge is merely a prize for the two of them to fight over. And we even get an outline of their core personality conflict: Brooke flaunting her sexuality and Stephanie accusing her of having no substance, honor or integrity. Finally Stephanie the Storyteller puts Brooke (and the viewer) on notice that the next six months will be another race to the altar storyline and she intends to trip Brooke up at the finish line.
YES! I noticed the "you lost and I won" comment too, as well as Stephanie's anti-greeting! And again Brooke is resisting the Wife/Good Girl archetype by being ungracious about her win, and making it more about defeating Stephanie than about loving Ridge.
Brooke is the one that calls the war. Stephanie hasn't done anything yet, but Brooke calls the war and threatens Stephanie. Bad move on her part. It would have gone always completely different if Brooke would know how to speak to people (especially Stephanie), if she would stop being so arrogant, disrepectful and annoying, if she would be not so damn smug and threatening Stephanie. Brooke needs to battle someone or she isn't happy. Brooke never had any decency, compassion or diginty. Brooke hasn't learned anything. This scene shows for Brooke it's never about loving Rigde, unity and peace in the family, friendship or honesty or really making amends with Stephanie. Brooke is all and everything about Brooke - only about her, winning battles and getting one over Stephanie and Taylor. So much for peace or friendship, which Brooke never meant for Real.
Brooke is such an awful person! She is going to deserve that downfall when she finds out Bridget isn't Ridge's. She won't even have Ridge's kid for a _long_ time while Taylor will have THREE kids by Ridge.
And this is the very reason she can stand Thomas or any of Ridge kids especially Thomas because every time she looks at Thomas she’s reminded of the love Ridge shared with Taylor and how much Ridge loved another woman other than Caroline and how many times Ridge chose other women over her
@@TriniT21 I wonder if the writers were aware of the Sapphic undertones of a line like that (and of the Stephanie/Brooke feud in general, like how Stephanie is always touching Brooke or walking in on her half-dressed. And Brooke is showing skin here too).
@@NewYorkNick0607 yes, there is definitely a recurring theme of Stephanie walking in on Brooke half-dressed, or Brooke saying something se du c tive believing that her love interest is in the room and it ends up being Stephanie.
Brooke's chickens are finally coming home to roost! Eric Jr is acting out because she made a mess of his family by marrying his brother! 😖🥴 (yes Ridge is his brother,. I don't care about that retcon later and neither does the show, so can it stans!)
I'm SO with you Tara. For me, there's no point in discussing the pre-2000 episodes in relation to post-2000 developments because Brad retconned and rewrote so much that they are practically different shows. In the episodes we are watching now Ridge IS Eric's son (I'll admit I find it tiresome when people bring that up and I tend to just ignore those comments). It's like how in the "live action" Little Mermaid they made Ursula and Triton siblings, but that relationship does not exist in the 90s animated version and doesn't illuminate anything or even fit into that version so I don't watch the animated film and think, "Oh Ursula is Ariel's aunt."
so let's get that straight... RIdge doesn't tell Eric that his son had a fight in school and goes there to handle the situation, but when Taylor had swimming lessons with the kids while on Stephanie's supervision all hell breaks loose
Especially after claiming to remind Eric Jr about who is his father, and Eric admitting to being an absentee father. That was a perfect opportunity to begin to remedy that situation.
Another rewrite. Eric was two years ago not happy with Sheila. He was already in deep trouble with Sheila and crying daily to Stephanie about it. Brooke at that time had taken FC over in a hostile way.
Not Eric and Ridge discussing whether they both have feelings for the same woman! 🥴 Ridge wants to make sure his dad isn't going to go after his former step mom again 🥴🥴 And they sit there talking like it's the most normal thing... This family is too cringe
Rigde and Eric's talks about Brooke were, are and will always be creepy, uncomfortable and icky. Rigde's and Eric's whole relationship is extremly strange, creepy and sick. It has very unhealthy parts.
The writers have really tried to make us forget how disgusting this whole triangle is... And Brooke telling Eric she still considers him part of her family? And that he wants a home with a family, after she broke up his home with a family.. Twice.. Once with Steph and then with herself. I guess we are supposed to find her gesture towards Eric sweet that he's part of her family, but it is very revolting...
This is really an obnoxious statement. If you know anything about how shows work, they have something called WARDROBE, and that was the fashion trend back then as it is back again. KKL was gorgeous. Don't be so obviously jealous.
Brooke comes home to meet her ex husband/father in law waiting in the house that shes shacked up in with her step son 🎶 sweet home Alabama🎶 Heaux goals
Bc he clearly wants a slap. Why would he do it in the same presence of the man who was his lawyer trying to get him off a statutory r a p e charge? This whole storyline, like the one b4 it with Jessica and Dylan, is unnecessary. Give me Brooke sleeping with a father /son combo any day.. At least I can care about that.
*@Annie O* *@Trish* *@Nick* another edition of _"What are you doing here?"_ (0:13) One of my favorite remixes was in episode 1418 when Sheila took Molly to the pink condo, she was telling her mother that she's the _new lady of the house._ That the only *OBSTACLE* between her and the perfect life was Lauren. When Steph saw them she was like *_"YEEEEEES"_* (3: 38 mark) Girl was wearing a robe with Lusty Horn Goat's initials, she even told Sheila that she'd spent the night. Molly was mortified AF 🤣
Yes! "What are you doing here? How did you get in here? What are you doing in my home?" Brooke, Sally and Sheila have gotten all of these but AFAIK only Sheila got the very special, "What _the hell_ are you doing here?" 🤣🤣

If Eric is my father too, isn't Ridge my brother? 🤔🤔😕😕 Ridge : well.. Yes.. Brooke : NO ERIC JR.. RIDGE IS YOUR FATHER AND I WANT YOU TO NEVER THINK OTHERWISE AGAIN!
Oh, Brooke with her threats again. Brooke, you have challenged Stephanie now with this threat to turn her family against her. Bad idea, very bad idea. You woke up the lioness in Stephanie. Its Brooke who has called the war, not Stephanie. Til now Stephanie was fairly nice and polite in this whole marriage stuff to Brooke. But that about to change. Because Brooke wanting to fight with someone (Stephanie) now that she thinks that Taylor is no competition, she creating war and fight over control, rigde and the Forresters with Stephanie again.
Brooke's showing her true colors by acting entitled and arrogant towards Stephanie. How anyone can keep defending that trash, is beyond me!😂 And Eric is as blindsided as Ridge when it comes to her. It seems Ridge's jealous of Eric, since she gave him Eric jr. What a disfunctional family. LOL... End this annoying Dylan-Maggie and Jessica-drama, it's unbearable to watch!🙈
@@soft-with-edge I'm sure he would give her a pass, unfortunately. Brooke would cry her one tear 😢 and say how Stephanie was just so mean to her (not that she left her house and went to Steph's house and invited herself in)...
Every time she says she isn't going to ask for her acceptance anymore, it's because she's dying inside she hasn't ever gotten it, and she will be back to trying to be accepted in no time 😂
At this point, Brooke hadn't started sleeping with her daughters' boyfriends/husbands yet. But perhaps she took inspiration from Maggie. Nevertheless, so far, to Maggie's credit, her rendezvous with Dylan was not intentional and she's fighting hard to walk away. I didn't watch the show when Brooke was getting it on with Deacon, Nick and Oliver, but I imagine she thought about her own pleasure and her daughters were an afterthought. Of course, Brooke was selfish when she was with Bill and didn't think of her sister Katie.

This was the episode when Ridge got a call from Eric Jr's Baseball coach when Eric Jr was starting to have problems at school when CJ (Clarke and Sally's son) starting causing trouble for poor Eric Jr by taunting him and getting into fights.
That was a long kiss before Maggie realized how wrong it was to make out with her daughter’s date. Then, came the furious slap. Eric and Maggie ought to give it a go.
Maggie was already married to his loser brother during what should have been the best years of her life. Surely that was enough of the Forrester man experience for her. 😊 But seeing how Eric likes younger women and keeping it in the family he'd probably be happy to take a shot at her. 🙃
Soo many good storylines that could’ve been developed from 87-92. Clarke, Julie, Bill, Margo, Jake, Kristen, the spectras, Mick, Donna and Katie. The writers wrote themselves in a corner focusing on two characters. Brooke has Ridge up there raising his father’s kids like they’re his, and gloating to Stephanie about it. She is soo weird.
Like all parents brooke is not perfect and never calimed it yet she never left her kids to play zombie 2.0 and raised Taylor’s kids for a good number of years. To add to all of that Taylor stans need to know that if we are to use judgment in your way then Taylor has been a horrible mother
Prob old enough to vote 😂 But seriously, they keep talking about everytime he comes over to visit Eric Jr.. I guess he was doing that in between all the times he went to visit Thorne in jail...
Brooke arrives home after her belly dancing class to find Eric day dreaming about how happy he was with her? Revisionist history. Stephanie’s in Taylor’s corner; Eric longs to be back in Brooke’s. 😉 Eric is so EW.

Yeah, where are the hoegan stans now saying how mean Brooke is and kicking Stephanie. Brooke has done this before and Brooke started the war 8 long destiny years ago and here she is again starting/continuing with a war. Stephanie was and isn't the one that starts it, Stephanie will just reacting to Brooke's threat - like Stephanie most of the time had only reacted to Brooke and the hoegan. Seldom she acts on her own and out of nowhere. She has reasons to react.
Wow just a couple of weeks with Maggie ( no sex ) and he has forgotten all he and her daughter shared ( sex ) and growing together over a year how quickly he forgets 😱
This maybe one of the few long distance shots taken when Eric sees Brooke open the door and we get a good perspective of the size of that living room area.
Funny that Brooke is welcoming lonely old ex husband/soon to be father in law/father of her child Eric into her family (trying to usurp Steph's place as the new Forrester family matriarch I suppose?), yet she won't at least give him back his company 😕. And Eric the fool smiling at the magnanimous gesture to allow him to be a part of his own son's life, by the woman who took his company away and almost gave him a stroke The forgiveness level for Brooke is wayyyy off the charts. And Eric deserves every bad thing that ever happens to him.
I was actually surprised they used that poignant music cue at 13:10 when Eric was looking at Brooke. It's the first time they've played and acknowledged Eric & Brooke's history in a long time! Obviously a setup for the paternity reveal but I also wonder if Brad was testing the idea of Eric with both Brooke (again) and Taylor (🤢)?
This is the same thing I wondered weeks ago when Maggie said she was staying in LA. Her other daughter would still be a minor.. Did she assign someone as her legal guardian too? Or maybe she's staying with the father (Eric's brother)?
Brooke is _on top_ and she will still long for Stephanie's acknowledgement and approval. Wanting to hate someone you admire is so hard 😌 She came to the mansion for retribution, just like her "good friend" Sheila 0:39 There she goes making it a competition 6:45 She's proving that wining over Stephanie is more important than her romance. Another one of those cheap threats 6:49 This proves what *@Esi* and I have been saying for ages: *Brooke and Ridge's romance wouldn't have a leg to stand on without active opposition from Stephanie*
If she's really on top she would not need to barge into Steph's home... It's like.. See Stephanie? I want you to SEEE that I'm on top. If she doesn't need Steph's approval, why does it even matter if steph sees or not lol. And still she didn't get what she came for lol And I guess we can forget the "promise" of Brooke to relinquish her stock to the Forresters, even tho she's on top and apparently will be with Ridge now and forever. A promise from Brooke to do something is a comfort to a fool.

But she was stunning with a body to match. I also loved Bobby Eakes she was so sexy with the hot bod and cute bob. In South Africa we have a saying yo describe a beautiful body....figure like a trigger lol
She's beautiful, but I think it's kind of odd to say letting herself go. I am excited for the Grant arc to start because I've never seen it. Ridge and his waffling gets on my nerves, but no one can deny the insane chem between KKL/RM. I think that clouded my judgement a bit when I saw it the first time though, but I always rooted for Brooke's happiness.
Ridge was manipulative and inconsiderate when he got the call about Rick. First of all, why didn't the coach call Eric? Second, perhaps these microaggressions are what lead Rick to resent Ridge in his adult years.
Now I've watched 2099 episodes, watching several episodes every day. Bold and the Beautiful - 1995 (S8 E348) FULL EPISODE 2099 These episodes are from 1995. Why do I have to wait for a new episode every day here on TH-cam? Since they are from 1995, I will never finish the entire series as long as I live with only one episode per day.
Stephanie had been torturing her about Ridge NOT choosing her up until a few hours before he chose Brooke, so she had EVERY right to put that old bat in her place. Ridge barely chose stupid Taylor. She had to get knocked up to make that happen. Funny, Brooke never had to secure his love by using children. No wonder Stephanie and Taylor are BFFs. After all, that's the ONLY reason Eric chose her was her lie about being pregnant with HIS KID. Once Ridge finally could CHOOSE out of love, it was always Brooke. Look at that, Eric is still in love with Brooke, but you know what is so sad is that their marriage fell apart because of the old bat, and no one really addresses that and says how evil Stephanie is just like her awful grandchildren (Steffy/Thomas). It's kind of sad that McCook and KKL had amazing chem, but it was always cut short b/c anyone not Ridge was not meant to last. Yikes, Dylan is a gutsy, desperate weirdo, and I feel saying this, but his chemistry is with Maggie versus Jessica.
Brooke assures Eric that he is part of that family too. Considering that he is 1) the father of her son 2) the father of her fiance 3) (currently) the granddad of her daughter, he definitely is, isn't he? 😏
The judge and Ridge must have really taken a long time to make up their minds, don't they? In the meantime little Eric has aged from a sweet little boy that got swimming lessons and got to give that swimming instructor a kiss on the cheek, to a preteen that plays baseball at night and gets into bloody fights with teammates (with one at least).
Ridge tells Eric that Eric Jr is the latter's son and he won't let Jr forget that. Funnily enough later on Ridge had an argument with Eric that he (Ridge) was the real father figure to Rick (as Jr chose to be known by then).
Nah, he never stopped loving Brooke. That will teach him to choose an faux amnesiac heifer over Brooke. He regretted that mistake the second he made it. That ruined their marriage, and it allowed Stephanie to manipulate Brooke and Ridge to fall back in love with each other.
Brooke is being juvenile. Taunting Stephanie is silly. Stephanie is the biggest hypocrite and misogynist on the show. Blames women for everything. It's never Ridge's actions. Stephanie preaches integrity knowing Taylor slept with James and is concealing that from Ridge. Ridge is wrong to leave Eric in the dark about his son.
Brooke is just giving her back a little of what she gave Brooke from almost the second Taylor returned. It wasn't the most mature moment, but she deserved it for that moment in time. Stephanie is the WORST, and her grandchildren are just as awful in Steffy and Thomas. Poor Phoebe died because Taylor had to bed her first love who was Brooke's son. Gags.
Anyone remember when Ridge pitched that ridiculous fit over the fact that a 5 year old Eric Jr wasn’t thrilled about Brooke and James getting married- and Brooke kept it from him?? So that was unacceptable to him and yet it’s ok for him to lie to Eric about his own son???? So they think we forget this stuff??
Stephanie could be justified to hate Brooke because of Eric but in this case Stephanie promised that she would accept and respect Ridge's choice but she didn't. Instead, she tried to manipulate the situation. She deserves this treatment by Brooke.
Ridge questions Eric about his loneliness and if he is still hung up on Ridge's fiance, Brooke (the mother of Eric's other son). Don't worry, Ridge. If Eric can't go after that woman of yours, he will soon turn to the other one, the one you are divorcing.
You forgot BEHIND YOUR BACK. lol I mean Eric always wanted Brooke minus that blip when he felt sorry for a faux amnesiac Stephanie. He blew it. lol That wasn't anyone's fault by Stephanie manipulating him, and him falling for it.
Sorry I'm going to rant about Present day Finn...🤬...he is sickening...and Hope!... She was just at restaurant telling Deacon he would never see her or the grands again if he didn't stop with the Sheila gig. And what's with she's the woman that gave me life.. she is also the woman that shot you and your wife, who took a bullet when Shelia told her not to call 911, then left both of you to die!!! Give me a break😤 ... Ok I think I'm done...🤨😏🤪
Stephanie and Brookes interaction here really annoyed me. She's adamant Brooke took advantage of Ridge while he was grieving Taylor when in fact he was the one that pursued Brooke. He was relentless. And she caved. It wasn't the other way around. So sick of this witch blaming everything on Brooke when it is Stephanie's parenting that turned Ridge into the entitled adult brat he is today. She probably never told Ridge no. If you don't like something then just bulldoze over everything til you get what you want and you'll get away with it because you're from the right postcode. That's the example Stephanie has set. I can't wait for sheila to come back and really get started on Stephanie.
Ridge interfered with HER engagement with James, which it's interesting that James seems to FORGET that part of the equation. Oh, Bradley wants to pretend history away. It's really not fair. I want to see Taylor's JAW drop over that one. Plus, Taylor for over 10 years gets to get away with sleeping with James, and their freaking marriage was a nightmare BEFORE she got on that plane.
@untilwemeetagain2010 exactly. Louder for the ones in the back! We re supposed to forget Ridge and Taylor argued for months over her connection with James well before, thats the reason she was up at that cabin in the first place AND the reason Stephanie kept that letter because she knew it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies. Stephanie always puts the blame on Brooke when it's the Forrster MEN that pursued her. Stephanie meddled in Brookes family first by getting stephen sent to Paris things
@@Itsboldie Stephanie meddled even before that. Who knows Brooke could've been Eric's daughter had she not FAKED a pregnancy while sleeping with TWO men out of wedlock to trap one of them. Stephanie deserves every bit of karma Brooke throws her way for ruining her childhood and making them struggle in life. The sad thing is Brooke never did that to her. She wanted Stephanie to accept her most of the time and stop trying to ruin her relationship with the MEN who PURSUED Brooke. She whines about Eric, but Stephanie RUINED their relationship by faking amnesia and slowly pushing Brooke and Ridge towards each other to the point they fell in love AGAIN. Eric was an idiot for that, and I think deep down he KNOWS it. Brooke was a loving mother and wife, and he threw that away to be manipulated yet again by that evil woman. Now he regrets it? Don't they all! Oh, yes, Taylor also hated that James was falling for Brooke, right? SHE wanted to be the one wanted by BOTH men, but when Brooke came in the picture, oh, boy, she had to SLEEP with James up the ante and then run away to avoid facing the ACTUAL consequences of her actions. NOW she just pretends it all away, and I can't wait to point that out when SHE attacks Brooke over a few kisses with Grant when I'm guessing Brooke had EVERY right to feel lonely? Bradley would've NEVER let Brooke get away with ANYTHING, but oh, Taylor gets to make out with Eric behind everyone's back and keep her sexual escapade with James a secret for YEARS.
Fact is that Ridge was still mourning even through the honeymoon and after. It was Brooke and her sisters who planned the wedding because "Ridge wasn't ready" (Brooke's words). Ridge only proposed because he knew Brooke wanted a commitment, and he didn't want to lose her and Bridget to James.
Ridge: Dad, you have done well -as absentee father- Ridge My stepson is your son, dad. I never let him forget that. Ridge: Dad, I have something to do -that apparently doesn't concern you and your role as dad- so just relax, make yourself at home.
This seems to be the episode where the groundwork for the most mediocre storylines in B&B's history gets laid. Of course, because Brad 🔔 doesn't exactly ease his audiences into his storylines, we're going to get thrown straight into the saga of Eric Jr's pre-teen angst, while the Maggie/Jessica/Dylan storyline continues to be a non-starter.
Yes, these next few months are easily the most uninspired period of the 90s. Every single storyline goes nowhere. *bo r ing spoilers ahead* Jessica/Dylan/Maggie - nothing becomes of it and Jessica never finds out Eric/Taylor - the writers realize their mistake and go "let's never speak of this again", and Stephanie never finds out Eric Jr's pre-teen angst - nothing becomes of it Taylor's sta l ker - stops s t al k ing and we never really learn for sure who it was Sally stealing designs and Eric's pretend proposal - they both agree to forgive, forget and move on with no consequences Only with Sheila's return and the paternity reveal does the show recover.

so let's get that straight... RIdge doesn't tell Eric that his son had a fight in school and goes there to handle the situation, but when Taylor had swimming lessons with the kids while on Stephanie's supervision all hell breaks loose
Your so right about that
Brooke had a right to know who was giving her kids swimming lessons in case there was an accident or something.
IMO _both_ these situations are wrong. The parent needs to know, always.
Taylor is nothing to those kids, but Eric is Ricks father. THAT is the diffrent.

Eric is missing Sheila!
Please. Brooke never accepted Ridge's choice either in the past when he chose Taylor (even when she promised to).
Brooke doesn't respect anyone not even herself so there's no need for Stephanie to respect her.

And Brooke said this a bazillion times before Stephanie died....
Ridge: Dad, you have done well -as absentee father-

Taylor's sta l ker - stops s t al k ing and we never really learn for sure who it was
Sally stealing designs and Eric's pretend proposal - they both agree to forgive, forget and move on with no consequences
Only with Sheila's return and the paternity reveal does the show recover.
We want Sheila back!
I can't stand the way Brooke is acting in this episode.
Bout time they start acknowledging that Eric is little Erica father.....but then when the coach called about little Eric getting into a fight it was informed to ridge as if he was the father why did ridge correct the coach and why didn't ridge tell his father what was going on with little Eric that was messed up
