Jet2.com Boeing 737-800 landing in Funchal Cristiano Ronaldo Airport, Madeira as we see Ilhas Desertas before making the mandatory sharp right turn to land in the extended runway. After turning we can see Caniço, Gaula, and Santa Cruz. The airport will come into view and the plane has a hard touch-down landing due to the fierce winds that are caused by Madeira's mountains. The plane then slowed down and made a U-turn at the end of the runway to taxi to the terminal which is where at this point most passengers were applauding the pilots, this is because pilots have to do more training on the exact plane type (Boeing 737 series or Airbus A320 family) when the pilots reached 200 hours of flying since the airport is surrounded by the mountains which leads to winds so it's difficult to land, this is why I was worried if we had to do a go-around if the pilots failed the first time (A British Airways A320neo had to do a go-around after I have landed because the winds became worst)
