Wow! Developer here, and it’s unreal seeing this on launch day! 🔥 Thank you so much for checking out SULFUR - it truly means the world to a small indie team like us. Cheers! 🍻
The yellow pistol looks cool, and I mistakenly assumed that it was replaced by one of the other two (just as cool) auto loaders back when the demo launched.
man this make me realize how much people are starving for a single player extraction shooter. I love the concept, but I hate having to deal with people.
Check out Witchfire! Its more bloodbourne environment meets eft extraction mechanics with Destiny 2 gunplay and a touch of roguelike. Early Access though but definitely one to watch.
Civvie got me onto Nightmare Reaper. One of the very best FPS titles I've ever played and I do still have a save with a double barrel shotgun that fires cannon balls instead of buckshot. So 12 cannon balls per pull of trigger...and then I managed to roll a double projectile weapon perk. So that's 48 cannon balls with both barrels. Utter, freakin, physics enabled carnage. This, for some reason, gives me Nightmare Reaper vibes. And that ain't no bad thing.
Just bought it on a whim yesterday because it looked interesting, I got pulled into the game so quick! It's a perfect blend of some of my favorite games, like Tarkov and Borderlands, with a great replayability factor.
Right, @@KABLAMMATS. Honestly, playing an intense game while simultaneously providing entertaining, thoughtful commentary only seems easy to people who have never tried to do so.
I wish they implemented shadows and dynamic lighting. It would make it look so much better. But idk how you would do that with a mix of 3D and basically 2D pngs.
It takes a player character with some nerve to go from the chamber pressure of 9mm to that of 5.56 and figure that their fingers will probably be fine.
Terribly violent, cutesy cartoon has been my favorite thing since Bugs Bunny and the Road Runner hour fourth years ago! And I'm a gun nu...fire arms enthusiast. What's not to love?
This developer HAD to have played a bunch of Day of Defeat. The map layouts and some of the buildings are nearly identical. I might have to get the game just for the subtle nostalgia
Looks really fun! But I'm not sure about there only being 5 levels in the end, sounds like an anti-selling point, tbh, but maybe I'm underestimating how large a level is and what comes with it, especially with how much the game costs. // Nevermind, seems like the 5 maps only refers to the beginning of EA and more will be implemented later.
i played this and got a golden sandal early on "permanent slow motion" and in the later level climbed a ladder just for there to be a minefield at the top and died. i was so mad because that sandal was an op item and i lost it to something out of my control T_T
Oh. Had it wishlisted but completely missed the release. After a few more updates, this should be extremely fun. The demo was awesome, but had massive performance issues, especially when using modded shotguns. Weapons do indeed feel awesome. I don't know many games that nail it that well. edit: That town level looks a bit too lazy designwise. Too many simple and flat objects and empty rooms. The demo level (a cave) worked very well, but this doesn't look very good imho.
The 3D enemies rotating toward you like they're 2D sprites is so jarring, it's a bit unsettling also... ~Is it actually billboarding? They don't look 2D...
This game is just a cartoonish version of Witchfire. While this definitely has its charms, for people wanting a single player extraction shooter experience with the witch hunter vibe but in a Dark Souls-esque grim setting with realistic visuals then check that out too. It has mobility like double jumps and dashes that cost stamina, spellcasting and 16 guns currently with their own unique abilities and playstyles. It also rewards map exploration heavily and as you progress you will unlock new areas and even mechanics on old maps so it encourages you to revisit them! There is also the Calamity system where making certain mistakes causes the witch you are hunting to take more and more notice of you and once it hits max?... Well, I hope you're ready is all I'll say.
GUNZ, not just, but MAJIK GUNZ, oh you just KNEW Splatty was gunna LUV it! I have to say at first it looked assety, but even so the graphic appearances of the enemies and the layers of the appearances, they're very amusing. They kinda look like Adventure Time characters to me. I'm personally 100% against dog enemies in games, luv dogs it disturbs me.
Love it....even if the first 2 hours or so....I did nothing else than die...and die...and die...they look sooo cute, but kill you in an instant....dogs that explode into more dogs etc...always that....oooohhhhmygod, didnt know that....aaannnd dead again....😆
Just keep in mind some games permanently stay in early access whether planned to be or devs just run out of money, passion. You might only get what you buy originally basically. As long as you're okay with that possibility buy as much ea games you want
@@namelessbacon9483 100% true! You buy what you see right now! Most likely game will improve but sometimes it just got abandoned. It's just life and the risk is real

Or if he cooked meth...and instead of a youtuber, he was a high school science teacher battling cancer....and also had a former student as his business partner. Imagine that!! I bet u could make a show about it, probably a spin off too.

my poor ass cant afford it yet, but im saving. cant wait to play! looks promising
The yellow pistol looks cool, and I mistakenly assumed that it was replaced by one of the other two (just as cool) auto loaders back when the demo launched.
Your game looks awesome, just bought thanks to this video.
This game looks amazing but I can't help but desire co-op for this title, I think it would be superb with it.
Would love to buy if you can add support for Geforce Now. I game on mac, so this is the only way I can access windows titles.
man this make me realize how much people are starving for a single player extraction shooter. I love the concept, but I hate having to deal with people.

Adaca & Project Silverfish are closer to STALKER than Tarkov but similar vibe (also amazing - worth a look)
@@TheApothecaryAus This, both amazing games.
Same , I'm down with single player extraction applied to other genres too .
Single player Tarkov is a lot of fun.
I really like the visual of the magazine instead of just a number for ammo.
I got already like 20 hours just on the demo!!! And now its out? 20 bucks on sale? SOLD! Art style, setting, the weird lil story. I need this!! ._.
"Not personal guy." Dumps half a mag into a dead dude 😂

haha! leverpastej is swedish for liver pâté.
it does indeed go well with pickles.
Or bacon and mushrooms
But it has to be Mor Anna's Smörgåsgurka :D
It's trash compared to Danish leverpostej
It is delicious with keso (cottage cheese) too.
12:10 haha poor guy was just outside sipping his coffee then splattercat runs up, "I'm gonna test out my shogun". The game looks fun.
Mmmm. Leverpasdej.
All you need now is knäckebröd and saltgurka and you're golden.
Just bought it on a whim yesterday because it looked interesting, I got pulled into the game so quick! It's a perfect blend of some of my favorite games, like Tarkov and Borderlands, with a great replayability factor.
DUDE STOP! I’m gonna be playing my backlog into the afterlife at this point.
Right there with you bro.
Too bad early retirement keeps getting further away.
[+20% damage
disables aiming]
"hmm...should I put this on the shotgun or the pistol with the scope?
the choice is obvious."
I enjoy Splat's content but boy when he skips pass critical thinking does it hurt.
@@Insandom his job is playing the game, not thinking about it
Right, @@KABLAMMATS. Honestly, playing an intense game while simultaneously providing entertaining, thoughtful commentary only seems easy to people who have never tried to do so.
He also tried to put it on the shotgun, but he just got the thing and it couldn't take an oil yet😅
Or that 9mm autopistol...
Its got correct empty/nonempty reload animations THANK YOU LORD. 😍😍😍
Running around with a sneaker and an ice skate. Nice
Genuinely loved Sulfur from the second i started it. super hyped for the final release
Not sure how much I like the graphical style, but everything else looks really solid here. Lovely soundtrack, too.

This is surprisingly up my alley. Definitely gonna grab this at some point when more updates roll around.
You've got me sold on that game six minutes since start

This game is so Swedish coded, brings a smile to my face. :)
Great game! Highly recommend
Happy this game finally getting more vids on it ((:
I played the hell out of the demo. This game when fully released will be an absolute banger.
Been waiting for this game even since I played the demo for like 20 hours (almost straight xd) after watching your video on it.
the blindfold definitely blinded me
One may say those dogs actually really love your guts since they are trying to steal them from you
Thanks Splatt!
This developer HAD to have played a bunch of Day of Defeat. The map layouts and some of the buildings are nearly identical. I might have to get the game just for the subtle nostalgia
You rock Splat!
omg loved the demo this game is sick
Not gonna lie when you shot that wall I assumed it was TTP 😂 cheers Splatty!
Love those dogs.
26:32 lol dude's like, "Sup, father?! Need me to take a look at that piece?!" 😂 shit's too funny
ThankYou SirSpla77!
Any shotgun enhanced with explosives + 9mm gun with 170+ dmg are god send
I'm getting Borderlands 1 vibes from the gunplay. DoT, satisfying gun sounds & feedback. Keep us posted!
I think if the game offered me cocoa, flour, butter, sugar and eggs I'd be keeping an eye out for milk (and possibly baking powder).
He puts the hip fire augment on the pistol with the scope. I laughed way too hard at that 😂

You need eggs to bake a cake, Splatt
15:08 when the pistol so good you turn into a chicken
A straight bopper on wheels with the spit ‘ems y’all. This is heala goood. Healllll yeah
Leverpastej is the swedish word for liver pate. Not my cuppa tea, but a lot of people enjoy that shiii

Will probably pick up on release
I don't know if you know that you can leave money and ammo at the stash
Game is made with good quality
Hmmmm, Id imagine Flour, Butter and eggs would make a Cake of some sort, or bread.
Looks fun wonder if it works on steam deck?
I played the demo i really like it!
Stay. You don't always know where you stand. Til you know that you won't run away.
Ya need an egg for cake I do believe.
making me fight dogs is an instant disqualification I'm afraid =(
thanks for the review!
Yes! Yes! Yes! This is my kink!
excellent!
How exactly does one grip a 1911 chambered in 5.56?

Tarkov doesn’t tell how many bullets you have.
This should be coming out early 2025 for PS5.

game out in EA today
Releasing in an hour, this looks interesting lol

what a wildly inaccurate take...

Tarkov!!! Lmao. No. Sorry, but that's a stretch.
Sounds like a Desert Eagle, hits like a BB gun. SMH
You can't not eject both barrels in a break action shot-gun. That's not a thing
Either shoot both and reload or hold 1.
oh, it's single player ,_,
I went with Windblown until Mirthwood comes out then Stalker 2 will be my next FPS
Nice choice!

Indie games stopped being great for me.
I was gonna argue until I saw the requirements.. jesus, yeah, those GPU requirements are INSANE for these graphics.
Plays perfectly on steamdeck.
The graphics look relatively low-fidelity but the 3d models seem to have high poly counts especially with all of the smooth curves everywhere
Personally it’s very appealing for me tbh
@@PraiseDolan The high requirements are appealing?
Could you stop describing every game with grid based equipment tarkov-like? This is getting hilarious.
But the clickbaittt!!!
Idk man it looks exactly like a re-skinned tarkov to me.

Singleplayer? No thanks.
Ahh I thought the art style looked familiar! According to the Steam forum, these guys also worked on Quell 4D
