Very well shot and edited. After watching your video Brooks its made me realise this car is underrated. Its actually seriously capable 690hp and rear wheel drive just makes it fun to drive. I also think the interiors are much better these days on this aswell. Sounded really good forget a 3.0l v6 sounded really good just full stop and phenomenal value on a lightly used example makes this a serious contender. 2.9s to 60mph aswell. Modern day supercars are just so insanely quick.
@geemy9675 what the cybertruck can do at road legal speeds to lets say 85mph beats every supercar and even some hypercars. Its insane at on the road speeds.

the hybrid battery charging from 10% to 100% from the engine running, in 10-15min sounds very impressive if it's accurate.thats 30-40kW of continuous charging for a 7.kWh battery, or continuous charge rate over 5C. probably feels like pulling a trailer too with over 50hp taken from the engine?
Dragtimes Awesome Review I think that McLaren delivered that Absolutely Gorgeous and Incredible Artura Spider and I definitely enjoyed the Gorgeous views
If you have extra time after the Tail of the Dragon head to Blood Mountain Overlook and loop around back on Wolf Pen Gap Rd in north GA. It’s an Awesome drive. Like any drivers road, the earlier the better.
I know that they’re close, but VA, WV, TN, and NC mountain roads are extremely similar. Like you I have a home in the Blue Ridge Mountains and it really is amazing to leave the driveway and be on some of the most beautiful and fun roads in the East Coast.
Tail of the Dragon has become far too crowded at any given time and not fun anymore. But plenty of good roads in the area all around it and in Helen GA. That sport exhaust isn't half bad!
@RickyLake honestly I think anyone who pays over $100k for a six cylinder has issues. I don't know how Porsche does it, but the GT3 RS actually loses two turbo chargers, the interior gets stripped, carbon fiber pieces get added in a few places and Porsche charges over $100,000 more for it than the Turbo S 👈 which is faster and retains the luxury interior. 🤷 People will get wise to Porsche's shenanigans. Looks like this year they're going to sell about 20,000 less cars than they did in 2023. That number might continue to decline.
Shouldn't the engine auto charge the battery when it go down to certain percentage ? Correct me if I'm wrong or the battery will need to be recharged manually if it run flat..
So have you driven the GT? Curious on which is more pleasing to drive for long distances. I know they're both great performers but it's eating the miles I'm curious about.
I never got my invitation! You were SO CLOSE! I could have run interference for you or carried equipment! I realize we’re no longer in our FD days, but the scenery up here kinda makes up for it. Next time?

Why do you say that? Artura experience is much more visceral plus a nearly new Artura a year old used with less than 2k miles is less than a 4 yr old 2021 Turbo S. Unless heavy tracking and you will put a lot of mile don the car or daily Turbo s makes sense. For few thousand miles 2-3k miles, Barely any tracking and mostly street the Artura is a bargain. As far as reliability you have the manufacturer warranty still and can buy more warranty. As far as depreciation yes you could lose 40-50k in 2-3 yrs but so will you with the Turbo s although maybe 20-30k. McLaren is a bargain used. Problem with the Turbo s is it is now priced like a supercar which it isn’t.
Nice car, but honestly feels kinda boring from watching it in the video. You would rather go for a lightly used 750S for similar prices right? Having so much fun in my 12C spider that it's hard to beat.
get used to hybrid supercars. solves the emissions problem + adds more power easily without need for crazy engine tech. I'm surprised there is not more electric turbos though like in the AMG one. you can get use a bigger turbo, have all the boost you need at any rpm, but without any of the turbo lag of big turbo or even of a small turbo. instead of the waste gate you can just recharge the battery from the turbo when they're generating too much boost/spinning too fast. when you stab the gas pedal at low rpm, the electric turbo spools almost instantly using the energy harnessed in the battery. I mean AMG abandoned it in the electric turbo because of the cost but in a performance oriented supercar like the mclaren I think it will eventually make it's way back because who doesn't want more power everywhere in, no turbo lag. the 750S facelift will be the last non hybrid mclaren
@@DragTimes Sorta can, but it's very short and limited to a small amount of power before it fires the engine. Once the engine is on, you can't turn it back to electric only without a full key cycle.
I love the silence of my tesla with open windows driving along on curvy roads, and youre still be able to have a lot of fun, i dont miss the noise of the engine or the exhaust in any way
Crazy how this ‘entry’ level Mclaren performs close to the higher level 675LT. If these trap 140 mph shouldn’t it give competition with f8/488 pista while having 40 less hp and 36 less lb ft?
Also, people aren't buying an F8 or a 488 solely for sheer performance. Very few people are going to ditch a 488 just to have a faster entry V6 supercar in the most unreliable supercar brand.
@@rustler08 damn you really took this personal huh? 675LT came out in 2016/2017 so it’s 7-8 years old. It was in the 650s/720s lineup so it’s higher than the 570s/aurtura lineup. Beautiful paintwork. Not been a fan of McLaren styling since the F1, but liking the Artura's looks. Much better effort than other recent McLarens.

That car will be worth about $150k in a year. Quite a bargain at that price.
Is it, though? You're ending up with a V6 car that really isn't that fast, and it's a McLaren. I'd much rather shop in that range for a used Huracan.
