I know it sounds dumb to say, but I always knew he'd come back. That band is just so good together. Eventually he'd want to scratch that itch. And... I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves again. But I'm hoping he stays for good and they become the Rolling Stones of my generation-play and play and play into their 70's, with the good lineup.
Whenever someone says that Stadium Arcadium wasn't that good I refer them to this song and help them realize how epic John and Flea sound, especially at the end. It's some of the most emotion-driven guitar and bass I have ever heard in my life. It saddens me to no end that I will never be able to experience that combination again in a new track, but I feel privileged that I was alive to hear it in the first place. I fucking love this song.
@@Hypnohealersarah Oh God, that song. This is my time, this is my tear. I can see clearly now... Glad to see it getting love. Now if only someone else would like Warm Tape with me.
the thing about the chilis is each cd is insanely unique and not to mention some funky ass crazy shit so...every cd and song is just as good as the next
The build, the 'harpsichord'/rhythm guitar under John's pleading lead is simply beautiful and speaks (to me) of anguish and loss but of beauty as well. Unreservedly, the best track. Thank you RHCP
I recon they might .. Flea once said of the year 1992 "I don't Anthony realized just how sensitive John was and how much Anthony hurt John", adding to him to quitting the band and delving heavier into drugs..
I'm with flea on this one. It's def in the top five of all of my favorite chilis songs. Idk if it ever got radio time but i hope it converted some casual listeners somewhere haha its got a cathartic vibe
me and my friend will tryed working out the lyrics to this song for about a year... we arrived on an existentialist conclusion saying that its about the denial of god and acceptance of abandonment. really, it makes sense. then i saw an interview with JF where he said that he isnt botherd about the lyrics to the songs that he plays because we all get different readings from each song for each person..... tell that to the people who are arguing about the lyrics to the new jonas brothers song.....
This song is for my TWIN FLAME. On December 25th we were married on WET SAND. I WAITED A LONELY LIFETIME FOR YOU HANNAH LEE. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE FIRST SEAT.
My personal preference would change Hey for She Looks to Me/Slow Cheetah (can't choose!) and Warlocks for Especially In Michigan. The first 3 you mentioned are definitely in my top 5 to, they are even better then Snow and Dani California.
@@1687angle Haha yes not easy. Every time I listen EiM I feel like I'm in the spring season out in the woods, it's sunny. It is just such a vivid and blooming song that makes you feel alive.
1)Desecration Smile 2)She looks to me 3)Wet Sand 4)Charlie 5)C'mon Girl Hump de Bump & Animal Bar are pretty awesome aswell it has more than 12 songs that R upthere with the best chili ever made. I really feel they could have made a PERFECT single album out of it but Hey, if they R to spoil us with extras..I might just aswell shut it up & SMiLE! XD
can we talk about wet sand. lets talk about wet sand. ive been dying to talk about wet sand. pepe silvia pepe silvia this name keeps coming up. so i go over to carroll in hr. and what do i find. there is no wet sand
I can't believe we'll get to hear John make music with them again.
I know right? I went into a deep depression thinking I’d never be able to see them live with John.
I’ll be there in the front row in Chicago this summer, such a blessing to get to hear them with John

Wingy Exacty this! They will never reach those heights again and it's really sad. The new stuff is ok/good but it's only that.
John Frusciante is back with the Chili Peppers! ❤ I'm excited to see what they do!
Well, it seems that we will be able to experiance that combination again!!:D
Faith has been restored, there is hope and light in these fucked up times. John is back!
You’re argument is pointless because no one ever said Stadium Arcadium is a bad album lol
"Well, I got a whole other page of lyrics here if you want to see!"

I don’t even like to make a top 5 because if I do there are songs left out and it’s really not fair. 😂

1. Wet sand / Venice queen
Flea's favorites are my favorites, too. Slow Cheetah, Desecration Smile, Wet Sand, Hump de Bump.
But they're all fantastic.

One of the most beautiful songs...ever.
It is a honor for me to discover how this masterpiece was born. Simply wonderful.
Jesus Christ John has so much appeal, talent and charm. Likability is off the scale!
That lyrics are just outstanding, it's love and darkness
One of the beat songs ever written...just beautiful
Man, I really wanna see those other lyrics.
the thing about the chilis is each cd is insanely unique and not to mention some funky ass crazy shit so...every cd and song is just as good as the next
this song genuinely changed my life
The build, the 'harpsichord'/rhythm guitar under John's pleading lead is simply beautiful and speaks (to me) of anguish and loss but of beauty as well. Unreservedly, the best track. Thank you RHCP
Don’t know why anyone would hate on this album. For me it’s wonderful. And I love Wet Sand. Beautiful melodies.
I also love the ways he says he asked john if he could use his melody, such gentlemen.
John is so chill.
Read Anthony's book "Scar Tissue" if you haven't already, it offers a lot of answers
I saw them in Denver recemtly, i wished they played this song. It was great to finally see them live! I love this song one of there best!
In 2012, I have to say that Stadium Arcadium turns out to be one of the best albums from RHCP
@1:27 - that's one sweet John Frusciante impression
One of my favourite if not the most favourite Red Hot Chili Peppers song of all time. And trust me, I know a lot of them/
I often get the impression that John and Anthony have a slight friction between them.
you should read the book Anthony wrote, they have a pretty great friendship and a pretty bad falling out.
I recon they might .. Flea once said of the year 1992 "I don't Anthony realized just how sensitive John was and how much Anthony hurt John", adding to him to quitting the band and delving heavier into drugs..
They always had friction around mothers milk/bssm. John looked up to anthony and anthony picked on him alot.

Love this. Outsiders look at how they create.
God,this song is beautiful....
MY FAVOURITEEEEE.. NOW I LOVE YOU MORE FLEA!!!!
Beauty of a song!
Greatest song off all time
hey is my favorite song on the album
That solo is ... there are no words...
dude, i swear, that sounded like something i would say. i love every single one of their albums. theyre all unique and amazing in their own way

How dare this go unnoticed…genius
I think this is my favourite RHCP song ever and it pains me that they don't play it live.
So it's not just us, even the band thinks highly of Wet Sand compared to the rest of the album. I bet it makes them tear up, the solo so makes me cry
I love that flea doesn't even know the lyrics of one of his favourite songs from his own band
Fleas laugh. Totally from his child self. I love it.
This song is for my TWIN FLAME. On December 25th we were married on WET SAND. I WAITED A LONELY LIFETIME FOR YOU HANNAH LEE. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE FIRST SEAT.
Top 5 from SA would be:
-Charlie
-Wet Sand
-Turn it Again
-Warlocks
-Hey

Thank you so much for uploading this. :)
you can contribute to the band by attending their concerts. Most of the CDs sold profit more for the publishers.
I wish I could read the lyrics that John wrote haha
John's song Murderers (2001 To Record Only Water For Ten Days) and Wet Sand sound similar, anyone else ever think so?
Wet Sand is not good, it's AWESOME!
They're all hanging out at Johns house
Jake Wilson that explains all the guitars against the sofa
did they not do a commentary for especially in michigan? cos thats one of my favs
when you see chad and john, you can see the bookshelf in the back, that is wehre flea and anthony are right?
damn good list
this was 2008.
Can't stop ah? I wish i could choose only one ;(
this is so fucking funny

Alguien que lo traduzca al español ?
Is Flea starting to morph into Micheal Stipe?

to be honest. rhcp too good for rick rubin.
