There are a few men who without them the world would be significantly different. Churchill is one of those men. I believe with all my heart that all of Europe would be speaking German if it had not been for this great man. One of the post mentioned that this doc. Was one sided..... At this point i dont care about his faults. He sacrificed so much snd obviously cared so much for his country and knew evil when he saw it.

    • @seandobson499

He had his faults like all human beings and was an aristocratic progeny of the Victorian era when attitudes were very different but without him as our prime minister, I don't have the slightest doubt that we would have surrendered to the Nazis and much of the world as well as ourselves would have been enslaved to the Nazis.
I was eleven years old when Churchill died and my school held a special assembly to give thanks for all that Churchill did for us and all the teachers who had served in the second world war and prior to his death wore their medals out of respect to Churchill and the Sunday following his death, the local Royal British Legion held a parade on a bitterly cold late January day and literally hundreds of men and women paraded, wearing medals from the two world wars and conflicts prior to the death of Churchill, many of them in tears.
He was the right man, in the right place at the right time.

Oh, and by the way, the highest scoring R.A.F. squadron in the Battle of Britain was 303 Polish squadron and Poles fought gallantly in Arnhem, Monte Casino and just about every campaign in the second world war and Poland was given over to the Russians at the end of the war and the Poles right from General Sosabowski downwards were treated worse than many of the defeated Nazis.

How do you blame someone who had was too young to make any type of difference in 1916 to start WWI and had was such a persona non Grata in 1938 that no one would listen to him, so he didn’t start WWII. I’m German and even I know Hitler, by marching into Poland started the war. England, and France declared war, because Hitler lied to them and marched into Poland when he swore he only wanted the Sudetenland. The only thing Churchill knew was not to believe that Hitler did not want to conquer Europe and inevitably, England.

    • @eagleeye8920

@@elkesimons-yarbrough2385 Chamberlain went to Hitler and made an agreement that would have spared Europe and the world war. Churchill rejected it and led a coup against Chamberlain that led to him becoming prime minister. Then he sent that provocative, humiliating letter to Hitler in order to force him to reject it as an excuse to declare the war that the world order wanted. The strange thing is that a small sector of Poland was Churchill’s excuse for declaring war, while Stalin took over all of Poland after the war without Churchill seeing any problem with that. Poland was just a fake excuse.

Churchill was a Great War Leader, but in Peace he failed, and made mistakes. So he was voted out. During his life He made great mistakes, Gallipoli was the greatest and he lost 30,000 men because of it. Unfortunately like all great men he tried to justify his actions but Gallipoli followed him to his death. In many ways his heritage, birth and ancestry made him who he was. I think he was a throw back to his warrior ancestors. Which made him perfect as a war leader, but not so great in civilian life.
