Before everything was destroyed! I want to cry when I see anything to do with Trans Karoo. Lived for our annual hols to my Granny in Durban. 2 nights on board from CT....omg it was heaven. That early morning coffee, those crisp sheets and blankets, that gong for meals...THE BEST MEMORIES. At least they can't destroy those !!!😢
Ja, the good old days, the train trip from Jnb to Capetown and return, was the hilight of the holiday! The morning rattle at the door and the inevitable voice 'Koffie' will always be remembered. Those clean and crisp blankets and sheets that made the trip feel like a 5 star hotel...long live the memory of the good old SAR! Loved ya!
