Haha, very big fan of literature and have been a writer myself for over a decade at this point. Love stringing thoughts together through words and I've wanted to combine the fact I do quite a bit of voice-acting / voice-over work with my writing to do some spotlight videos! Saw them years ago, cannot express the feeling me and my friend felt. It was the loudest and most exhausting yet beautiful experience of my life. Even if you don't like or understand them, if you ever get the chance to see them, you have to. It'll change your life, I promise.
Yeah, never had the chance, and from what I've gathered, this is a performance far beyond what can possibly be legally reproduced in a residential neighborhood. Headphones of even the best quality can only move the air near your head. No full body rumble of that level at home without civil complaints.

The beauty of this band is so understated, and I feel sorry for people who shrug it off based on the slowness of it. One of my all time favorite bands! Seeing them live is a true transcendental experience.

Right on! As someone who would like to express the same kinds of feelings through my own creation, I find the sounds inspiring. I have no aspirations to the quality of Sunn O))), it's just really neat to see what can be done. I'll pinch an idea or two, and experiment to see what I can make. Just showing that sound design, and sonic sculpture can be the main focus, rather than virtuosic instrumentation is a big shift in thought for me. Allowing myself to not get hung up on my lack of experience playing instruments. I can try this slow, loud, powerful stuff. Great.

Before I am anything in the life, I am a writer first. I don't often leave my thoughts behind like this but I acknowledge your craft and just wanted to say for whatever its worth, its very well done with even more impressive in its delivery.. In addition, Sony Pictures is adapting Faust (the comic) for a TV adaptation, Universal moves are heading to Peacock next year, the Addams Family's 2019 movie's sequel's heading to theaters on the first day of October and Hotel Transylvania's fourth movie got moved into October as well, Adult Swim and Crunchyroll would air the Blade Runner series and Netflix has got the adaptation rights to a certain rodent fantasy book series by Brian Jacques to compete with Disney.
Can you do Godflesh a spotlight? Another very important experimental metal band that influenced tons of bands, Sunn O))), Neurosis, Metallica, Korn, Fear Factory for example.. that would be awesome, and thanks for the video

i've tried to get into this genre but i just can't do it...i hate overly long intros in any music and to me all the songs seem like a super long intro that never goes anywhere..totally respect their craft but not my thing.
I could literally leave a guitar with P90’s next to my my amp cranked to 11 with the bass turned to 10 and let my cat just swat it’s tail at the strings, and bam…I have a Sunn O))) song.
This was quite early on into my transition to video essays and yes, this video is very much a love letter and not nearly as in depth as I would make it nowadays if I were to remake it. Simply wanted to speak on them as I knew a lot of folks who didn't respect em much or their contributions. It's a dated video and I could see it being considered fangirling, but still enjoy looking back on it and both myself and my content has changed greatly since. Cheers!!!!!!!
