I am only here because I became a Shipt customer last evening. I placed an order, the app said it was delivered, yet I never received the order. I had to contact Shipt, give a negative rating, and reorder. It was extremely frustrating. I had to wait until this morning to receive my order. Remember to stay safe. THANK YOU TYRA!!! ❤️ I binged most of your videos, took notes, copied your text scripts into my phone notes, got a lanyard (OMG-SO CONVENIENT!) put bins in my car to keep orders separated, got cold bags with cold packs to put in them and I even put together little bags of candy with a note that says: “Hope your 2021 is off to a Sweet Start!”and I also put a “Dad Joke of the Day” on the back to give my customers a chuckle. But I could not for the life of me remember which customers got receipts so I gave my grocery shop customers their receipts -EEK! I am so glad you went over this, this was one video I had not seen yet or I may have remembered. I was doing my best to stay in contact constantly through text and did my first three orders and made about $50 in two hours. All of my customers tipped me and thanked me for the sweets. I applied for Shipt in August 2020 and was finally approved a couple weeks ago and I am LOVING this! Thank you again for being such a thorough and wonderful trainer! You’re awesome 🙌❤️
Tyra, great videos!! I started with Shipt in December and I didn't realize you should take yourself off the schedule once you have received orders. The other day I must have been sent 6 other orders and didn't accept them because I already had accepted. I really thought that it was a bad thing to take yourself off the schedule! Thank you!
Not sure if you or others know this, but once you have accepted 1 order in a delivery window, you don’t have to take another one at the same time and it won’t affect your acceptance rate. Unless you want to of course. But your acceptance rate won’t be affected if you have one already scheduled at that time and decide to not take another one. If that makes sense. Another tip- if a customer is begging to know the price of something, I tell them the “in-store price is $$$”. Because like you said, it’s most likely going to be different in the app. Great video!!
Love the background! If you are offered an order and don't take it, your AR isn't hit IF: you already have an order for that hour window OR if someone else takes it within 5 minutes.

Another tip I'd add from an experience I had today, is try to keep at least $200 in your bank account JUST IN CASE your Shipt card isn't working for some reason. I had my first late order because I was checking out and my Shipt card wasn't coming through. I called the help phone # and was on hold for at least 15 mins (at which point I realized I wouldn't be able to make it on time.) Luckily once I got help the lady, and she let me know that if you have an issue you can pay with your own card, then Shipt will reimburse you. Luckily this is the only dent in my on time percentage so far, but I was still extremely frustrated as I felt it wasn't my fault, plus it was my first late delivery 🤷♂️. Honestly it's disappointing how they can't even answer for 15 minutes, yet I get penalized for it. Welp, at least there was a lesson learned for me, and hopefully if you make another video you can share it with others!

Thank you so much for the info!!! I just dropped Office Depot and Party City! They do not show you what you are picking up. Yesterday Office Depot brought out 6 full cases of office paper. I could not pick them up,. I ran to pick up my son in order to complete this delivery. And Party City has the largest balloons that cannot fit into my car. So embarrasing.

Hey Tyra. Like your background and your video was spot on. I've been doing Shipt for almost a week now but I've been doing uber eats for about 4 months. One stupid rookie mistake I made on my first day of shipt was not paying attention to the actual address on the account and listened to google maps which sent me to the wrong street same number address where I left the customers groceries 😱 Luckily I was able to fix it but what a nightmare and embarrassing. So my tip would be definitely double check you are at the right place because google can get it wrong.
You always give the best advice! I started taking photos in my cart after a customer noticed a huge difference in price on an item in a photo that they had ordered from a week prior!! I personally LOVE the yellow couch, it’s so vibrant just like your personality. This background is cool through!
I would say knowing exactly where you park so you're not scrambling for your car and park near a cart return to out your cart away easily. Target Team members could be your best friend so They def notice things that make them do extra work. So put items back where they belong, cause they can determine the length and thoroughness of your audit
I gave the customer the bill and later i looked at my pay history and i didnt even get credit for that order, i have taken myself off the schedule to learn all i need to know first . By the way, that was my first order. Thank you for your help !!!
I’m about to start this week. I was wondering on how dogs / animals are handled and if you’re told ahead of time whether it’s safe to walk up to drop off at the customers door? You may have already addressed this I just haven’t come across it yet in my binge watch session yet. Thx in advance 😊
Thank you for this! I haven’t covered anything about animals. In my case, there’s never a dog problem because I shop in the city. But, I would just watch my surroundings, If there is a beware of dog sign when you arrive, I would text the customer to make sure it’s safe! And if you enter a situation where the dog/animal is at the door once you get there, I would drop the groceries right there and text the customer and tell them if you feel unsafe. Then, new arrangements need to be made. I think it’s a case by case basis
I thought i was suppose to get an instruction manual or web sites to study in my start up package, and all i received was my card and shirt. is that how it goes? I went into the chat for help and they told me i was all set to start , i asked is there any training i need to go through first and they said no , so i started and i goofed up on the first order. Im old school, i need things to be clear and organize . i feel like they did not complete my intro for this job, i feel like i'm missing something. Your video has helped me more than the company.

This is a good video. I have seen a lot here that aren’t very good! One small error though Tyra. Your AR won’t take a hit after 1 minute. The offer goes to another shopper and after 5 minutes if you and the other shoppers don’t take it you’ll all get the AR hit. Other than that you really nailed the other common mistakes.

Hello, I'm a new Shipt shopper and new to your channel. When I see a shop it's usually right before the delivery window, maybe 15 or 20 minutes. That's not enough time to get to the store and shop and deliver within that window. So is it best to go on the schedule as opposed to hoping to grab shops?
if you see a shop thats still available that close to the delivery window, then it'll be promo. And those have late forgiveness! so I always say go for the promo orders, because typically they have increased pay!

Once I accept orders are you saying I need to 'uncheck' from the time (deliverywindow) schedule ie 1-2pm, 2-3pm etc? Otherwise they decrease my acceptance rate? This is the first I'm hearing of an acceptance rate. Do they actually spell this out somewhere in the Shipt policy? And how does it show up? Is this possibly why sometimes my pay seems unusually low? They do that because shipt app add on a price for them. So you add that up with a tip is hard on the Customer which most likely a customer will not give me tip because of the add on prices through the app instead of going to the actual store

Everyone LOVES shipt… but I just never get any orders. Do I have to be closer to the location to receive the orders? Also, all the orders are so low in price. Do we not see if they tip until after we do the batch? Im not doing very good on shipt compared to others but I want to like it and do good on it but i feel like I’m doing something wrong. I see a lot of orders that come in to shop at a target that’s further from the customers house. Can I just shop at a target that’s closer to them because it makes sense?

They do that because shipt app add on a price for them. So you add that up with a tip is hard on the Customer which most likely a customer will not give me tip because of the add on prices through the app instead of going to the actual store

I live in Milwaukee, WI which has a larger market and more money, and go to college in Green Bay, WI, small market and all the stores are 20 min away... most orders i get are a 15+ drive from the store, do you have any recommendations for having to put so many miles on my car to make extra money??

Forgot to ask you Tyra, how do pick trips to only pick up and deliver items, i.e., where you don't have to go in the store and shop, then pay at the counter, then deliver?
What are the best days and time frame threw out the day to start and end?
Everyone LOVES shipt… but I just never get any orders. Do I have to be closer to the location to receive the orders? Also, all the orders are so low in price. Do we not see if they tip until after we do the batch? Im not doing very good on shipt compared to others but I want to like it and do good on it but i feel like I’m doing something wrong. Should i be accepting these $8 orders?
