this got recommended in my google home feed of all things, and i’m so excited to watch this video! i’ve not played guitar for over a year now but john mayer has reignited my love for it. i figure if i don’t have the energy to play, i can always learn in the meantime. my ear has sharpened considerably since picking this up and trying to learn from john both passively and actively over the last few months, and i love seeing people break it down-it takes a while for me to understand these concepts in their technicality. it’s really useful and learning why all this works makes me so happy! thanks so much for sharing this!
Wonderful Input as always for all those years. I am thankful for your inspiring approach over the use of deep-warm-spirited oberservations of microactions in music. It really keeps me high senstive about the reputed small things in the connection between the individual as a bodily feeling subject and the music which is as alive as we are. Music should be all about love between human beeings engaging innit and that is something we can give out to this world in order to change at least one life for a moment (totally worth it). Much love as always and greetings from Germany!
Anyone can play pentatonics, but very few can make them sound meaningful and beautiful. These are the players who have fully integrated the sounds and intervals, as Rotem shows here. Ear memory is by far more important than muscle memory.
Can you make a video dedicated to solfège?particularly pointing out the words you use when you flat a note of a scale .you have a very unique way describing different tones. Most people know the basic do some other words as well known. Please. I apologize if I asked this before, but I’m not sure if you saw my comment.

When you add the flat 3 to the major pentatonic scale, it's sometimes called the "soul scale".

Rotem's guitars always look like they were designed by dr Suess
