This is quite late, but to anyone who may not know this about Sims 3: if you park your car outside without a garage, it can be stolen. It happened to me 3 times as a teen before I figured out what was going on. There was another comment mentioning that you could install a security device in the car as well. I can't confirm this since I honestly can't remember lol but I know for sure about the garage.

On the child in cas it said ‘alien’ for the head adjustments you can make? 😅 Weird
In the sliders, there’s ‘alien’ options even if there aren’t aliens or if your sim isn’t an alien. It just adds more customization for your sim
