XD Seriously, everything he does and his personality just reminds me of one of those kind of crazy anime guys who is funny and kind of weird, but also very charming and adorable and you're not quite sure if they're supposed to be gay or straight or bi and the show never addresses it, so you just accept the fact that they sometimes dress up like a girl and try to seduce guys, but they also perv on the girls sometimes and maybe they can be very insulting and get smacked by the girls, but then they're also the most loyal friend that girl has when times are tough. Combine that with Heechul's love of Japanese culture and the fact that his solo stuff sounds way more like J-Pop than K-Pop and I think we've solved the mystery. He's an anime come to life. :3

Im Asian, and i used to care about sexuality. Not that i hate gays or something. Its just that i dont feel comfortable seeing them doing skinship. But after i met heenim, it completely changed me. Actually, my boyfriend has a lot of girl good friends, because he treats them with respect. It's not like they're super close but they don't feel threatened being around him. I think it's not about sexuality but personality and upbringing. My bf is the only son in the family so I guess that conditioned him to become good with girls. He treats me even better than his average friends and really takes care of his mom, sister and grandma.

Gay or not, it's not our business. Even if he was gay, why does it have to have a negative connotation? This reminds me when I was on Kpop Amino and there is this girl who asked if we think Ren from NU'EST is gay. I answered that we cannot make an assumption about a idol's sexuality just from what is presented on TV, or how she/he acts or looks like. You can't just say, "He's gay" or "She's straight" without personally knowing them. Then that girl attacked me and deleted my comment and was rude to me. Never cared about Heechul sexuality preference at all, I think it's really cool that he spends time around like female friends and idol female group members giving advice to them etc. People act as if it's abnormal to be a guy that is just in touch with their feminine side, and it's not nor does it make a man gay, it actually makes them more relatable more than anything, and women feel a lot more comfortable when they can confide in their male friends whom understand them, so for that I have a lot of respect for Heechul and he should never feel ashamed or apologetic for that.

I've only gotten into kpop a couple of months ago, and I hardly know anything about anyone other than my bias group and a couple other major new groups (I know next to nothing about super junior). So it's not like I know a lot about idols and their personalities
But if there's one thing I know, it's that Kim Heechul is a fucking gift to mankind. The very fact that he makes women feel so comfortable with him, especially in an industry and a world where looks are so important and friendship between (cis) men and women is constantly romanticised, is nothing short of absolutely incredible. I just really REALLY want kim heechul to be my best friend okay??? Is that too much to ask for???
But honestly I do know a couple of guys irl who make me and the girls around them comfortable, and it's incredible when I can be myself with them without caring about how they will perceive it. But it's really special when someone in the public eye behaves like this, not even caring if people question his sexuality in a homophobic country and industry, because he prioritises the trust others have in him over his own career and reputation. If I, a completely ordinary girl who will at the most suffer from a few idiots pointing fingers and giggling every time I talk to a male friend, feel so wonderful when I can be free with a guy without any barriers or expectations placed on me, then I can't imagine how lovely female celebs must be feeling with heechul

He clearly does not give a single fuck what people say about his sexuality. He does not flinch. He does not vehemently deny it (and i read an article about how he doesn't want to do that because it's offensive). He just agrees that there are rumours, and explains why those rumours arose, but he does not deny it outright either
And no that doesn't mean he's given us a 'clue' about his sexuality. We still know jackshit and unless he outright says anything that's all we will know. But the fact that he understands that denying it like it's something to be ashamed of or embarassed is wrong because of how much it can hurt actual lgbtqa+ people just goes to show how good of a person he really is

Guys, I know the real truth about Kim Heechul. He's...an anime character. XD Seriously, everything he does and his personality just reminds me of one of those kind of crazy anime guys who is funny and kind of weird, but also very charming and adorable and you're not quite sure if they're supposed to be gay or straight or bi and the show never addresses it, so you just accept the fact that they sometimes dress up like a girl and try to seduce guys, but they also perv on the girls sometimes and maybe they can be very insulting and get smacked by the girls, but then they're also the most loyal friend that girl has when times are tough. Combine that with Heechul's love of Japanese culture and the fact that his solo stuff sounds way more like J-Pop than K-Pop and I think we've solved the mystery. He's an anime come to life. :3

Yes, I couldn't agree more, we still love Heechul regardless of sexual preference. I followed SJ since debut in 04 and I always saw Heechul as a very cool person. I just really love the fact many people can feel comfortable around him regardless if male or female.

Seems like Korea doesn't of something called 'bisexual'. Yes, he says he likes girls and that could be true but it doesn't cross out the possibility of liking men as well. And as far as I know he has never said " I dont like men" while denying this rumor, he always says "I like girls". Whatever sexuality he identifies with is totally ok and accepted. The way he treats people, especially women, shows how good of a person he is.

Im Asian, and i used to care about sexuality. Not that i hate gays or something. Its just that i dont feel comfortable seeing them doing skinship. But after i met heenim, it completely changed me. I dont label anyone at all now. I just see them as them, regardless what/who they are. Just one thing that i haven't learnt from him is his confidence. Gay or not, it's not our business. Even if he was gay, why does it have to have a negative connotation? This reminds me when I was on Kpop Amino and there is this girl who asked if we think Ren from NU'EST is gay. I answered that we cannot make an assumption about a idol's sexuality just from what is presented on TV, or how she/he acts or looks like. You can't just say, "He's gay" or "She's straight" without personally knowing them. Then that girl attacked me and deleted my comment and was rude to me. Never cared about Heechul sexuality preference at all, I think it's really cool that he spends time around like female friends and idol female group members giving advice to them etc. People act as if it's abnormal to be a guy that is just in touch with their feminine side, and it's not nor does it make a man gay, it actually makes them more relatable more than anything, and women feel a lot more comfortable when they can confide in their male friends whom understand them, so for that I have a lot of respect for Heechul and he should never feel ashamed or apologetic for that.
