This Painful Masterpiece is Dimash’s soul pleading to the World. I have no words, as my heart, body and soul are aching for Dimash. I believe Dimash Qudaibergen Has thousands of souls in him. How can one young man be so in tune in everything he does. His passion for The world, his country, his parents, his siblings, his friends, and especially his music is extraordinary !!! We are all so blessed to be a part of his outstanding journey!!I am so proud to be a Dear!! 💐💐❤️❤️ Thank you Dimash, for staying true to yourself!! Thanks for your heartfelt reaction! We’re Choosing Life!
I just can’t watch this without crying. Such an important message. It makes me love Dimash even more that he is using his platform to try to bring everyone a message of peace.
The quote at the end of the video is from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both at the 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana, Kazakhstan. Dimash worked on the music and the video script for the last 3 years. There are several symbols that he put in the video, and I listed as many as I could below - pendant, Waldenberg, "Imagine", character at the end etc. : - the pendant - it`s the needle, gnomon, of a maritime compass - a symbol for the moral compass or for "following the light". Dimash the child puts on his first, then he gifts one to each of his friends. The second boy never accepts the pendant ; Then the camera focuses on his hand, showing us that he has bent it in his fist in anger that the girl didn`t choose him - bent, the blade is unable to point to True North anymore, a symbol of him losing his moral compass. Throughout his life, he never puts it around his neck, he always keeps it in his fist, bent, as a symbol of holding on to resent, accumulating resent, which will alter his judgement. As an adult, he becomes the Antagonist, the General, with a twisted idea of a "saving war" : “Only war will lead us to peace ; We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us ; The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War is the way to unite people.” The shape of the pendant, twisted, and missing the hole for the light, also appears on the uniforms of his soldiers. - Dimash and the girl, adults, are husband and wife, they have a daughter, and the wife is pregnant with their second child. Dimash`s character, the Protagonist, also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife and his daughter - "we have passed the moment of *Imagine* " - reference to John Lennon`s song "Imagine" - we are past the moment when we could afford passively "imagining" a world of peace, with no divisions, "night is falling, fate is tightening the noose", our wrong decisions are catching up to us - and we have to actively change our way of doing things, starting with ourselves, and not passively "imagining a better world" - the burning sign *Waldenberg* - is a reference to the end of World War II when the US Army destroyed the last resistance of the German Wehrmacht to end the war in 1945. The city Waldenberg was completely destroyed. Many of the people killed in the bombed buildings were women and children. Evil was defeated, but at a very high price - the pilgrim falling (pilgrims who symbolize the spiritual journey of humanity) : at the moment when Dimash finds his daughter killed - the moment of danger of losing faith along the path, due to pain experienced in life. Or a symbol for one who has lost their way so much that ends up leading people to war, like the general. Regardless, the other pilgrims, humanity, pray for him. - "Adam kerwen ömir jol" - the phrase in growl register, while Dimash kneels and hugs his daughter that was killed : "Life of Man is long and dangerous journey, one must be careful" (with the choices he makes) - I believe the meaning of this kazakh proverb, and it`s placement in the video, highlight once again the importance of choices and their consequences - marking the most difficult moment of the video : the discovery of the innocent child that was killed = the darkest misery of war, everybody lost, including the resistance against the dictator, that was doing the right thing, but way too late, at the point when everybody loses. (at the point of self defense, when non-aggressors have to choose aggression themselves, and nobody comes out of it unscathed) Leaving no room for "glory for the good guys", like movies sometimes do. Death of a child speaks loud and clear that no one is the winner in something that lead to the death of a child. A second meaning of the placement of the phrase, and a harder one : on the verge of his heart stirring with the most grueling pain, the phrase almost sounds like the voice of God Himself, warning him about the decision of revenge that his heart is about to make - the *shofar* - the horn that is blown by one of the pilgrims - The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humanity when it passes from evil to good: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and thus mercy is awakened and judgment is removed (youtube user : Heiderose Kober) In the face of the consequences of their wrong choices (after the darkest moment of discovering the little girl killed) people repent, the pilgrim in the symbolical parallel blows the shofar, and God`s mercy pours over humanity, and assists the woman giving birth, giving Man yet another chance at new life, and better choices. - the storm - the old way of "an eye for an eye" and it`s toll on the human soul is reflected by the storm that threatens to scatter the pilgrims and slows down their ascent, with the strong wind blowing in their face, and with the fog that clouds their vision - at the moment when Dimash kills the General in revenge for his daughter - the child born receives the pendant (compass) around his neck after Dimash`s conscience, in one final scream, "chooses life", despite all the violence, intentional and non-intentional, his character ultimately holds on to the decision that life is most precious. - Dimash's "son" played by Dimash : can represent both Dimash`s son, a new generation, a new chance to choose the right path, and also Man, after "choosing life", after breaking the cycle, after being bathed, or "baptized", in the primordial water of Mercy - expressed visually by the shirt, that looks like it was soaked in water at some point - the faint stain of blood shows that, and also represents the faint mark of the past, when all the choices, of the "bad" people, and of the "good" people, the aggression, and the self-defense against aggression, it all lead to everyone getting hurt. The character walking in front at the end is a symbol of the one who has accumulated scars of the questionable choices, but has ultimately "chosen life" (decided that life is most precious, valuable) which can strengthen the resolve to stay on the path for the others less experienced. And he can also be a symbol of a next generation that has learned from the scars of the past. The path proposed is with the pilgrims of all faiths, on the hard road uphill - Love is hard, forgiving is hard, asking for forgiveness is hard, acceptance of the other is hard, refusing the path of retribution is hard. The road is steep, but the soothing breeze of God`s Grace accompanies them. And the light is soft, a gentle sunset light - reminded me of "God walking in the garden (of Eden) at the time of the evening breeze". (Genesis) After the horror and the pain, that last scene and the resolving chords make that feeling of a gentle breeze (and God`s Grace) so palpable, it`s extraordinary.. For a moment, it reminds palpably to humanity the alternative that is "following the Light". The official statement about this piece : " *This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children* " Also : " *No sacred book calls for the destruction of people. We must learn to be friends; it is impossible for a few adults to cause millions of children to suffer. The future of our planet, the future of people is in our hands, let there be peace in the world. We are children of one Home, one Earth and one Heaven* " It all rests upon how we respond to what happens in our life. The choice to resent, to blame, to deny forgiveness always leads to bigger and bigger pain and harm, sooner, or later, in our generation, or the next. And we can always fall prey to the Pipers rising among us, leading us astray by promising some sort of redress for our grievances, or we can even become our own "crazy Piper"
Excellent. she got a lot right, the crazy piper, the general was the third friend to save dimash, in fact the wife of Dimash's character gives birth while their other daughter dies. the baby grows up and it's not Dimash, although it's the same... hehee. PEACE!!!!
Yes. This is not a 'Music Video' but a Mini-Movie with a Maxi-Message. It's time - long since - to stop allowing the self serving aggressively territorial 'Pipers' to lead us all straight toward the Extinction Cliff. Human beings are supposed to be smarter than this. This is a call to action. For each of us, not just to sigh, and click away, but to do whatever we can, whether large or small, to try to turn our feet onto the path towards a better future.
Wow! Vídeo espetacular! Intenso e profundo! Uma obra prima completa! Música simplesmente extraordinária do nosso Príncipe Dimash! Transcendental! Incrível! Dimash é um cantor magnífico, um roterista espetacular e um ator fantástico! We choose Live! PEACE! 🕊🕊 👏👏🏿👏🏿👏🏼👏🏾👏🏽👏🏽👏🏻🎶🎶♥️♥️🇧🇷🇧🇷
In fact, everything Dimash does is very thoughtful, and there's a lot of symbolism and detail in this film. A reference to the Second World War (a burning signboard with the name of the place), to a fairy tale (Piper leading children to death), a fragment of a gnomon as a pendant (the shadow of a triangle with a hole pointed to the azimuth of the sun) here a symbol of the direction we are going, the fight against adversity (when he killed leader Piper, it got dark and the people walking were fighting the wind, because killing is never good), books of various faiths (there is nothing in them that would tell you to kill others) etc
You understand the story perfectly. The fact that initially, we are thinking about the singing, but half way through you don’t even think about the singing any more , it’s the story and the message that is important. Of course, his singing all through is adding to the drama, the emotions and his sentiments, making it very powerful. Thank you.
On ur beloved ambassador for the peace in the world has done well with his emotional masterpiece, his message is strong and his vocals are stunning, congratulations and thank you Dimash ❤❤❤
i see this MV many times and still makes me emotional bowerful song it's composed by him 😢😢 Thanks for your reactions 😊😊 You must see the live profomec to this song its amazing
This masterpiece has shaken all of us, it is a plea for peace, Dimash scream is a desperate call to think for ourselves and change our sad destiny if we continue to follow mistaken leaders or symbols that just divide us and have made us lose the horizon. Love is the answer to live a better and fair life for everybody. What a pain to see us, as humanity, reflected in this MV. 🥹🥲🌹💔🎤🔝 “The Story of One Sky” was composed by Dimash and the script of the MV was written by him also. It took him three years to finish it. Dimash and his team worked very hard to make it and all of them deserve we show appreciation for the amazing artistic work they’ve done. “It was perfectly scripted and beautifully acted" 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Chicos!
According to google ... this is a story about three friends: two boys and a girl, with whom they were obviously in love. The eldest of the boys saves the life of the youngest (Dimash). Dimash, as a sign of friendship, decides to make something of a "pendant of friendship" and gives 1 pendant each to the girl and the friend who saved Dimash. The girl was clearly in love with Dimash and later became his wife (a woman with a pendant). Dimash's friend, the eldest of the boys, becomes a dictator and is the instigator of a war in which Dimash's daughter (a little girl) dies. Not finding his wife at home, Dimash decided that she, too, had died and was coming to take revenge on the culprit of all her troubles - unfortunately, it turns out to be his former friend, who once saved Dimash's life. And it adds to the drama. At the end of the video, it’s not Dimash, but his son, who was born at the time of Dimash’s death. It is also interesting that the moment of Dimash's return to life (from the water) and the fact that at the moment of death he falls into the water again are interrelated. There is a lot of symbolism in this video, it is difficult to cover (understand) it immediately, in one view and not miss anything.
The live performance where he premiered the music is a shorter by more intense version done at the Almaty concert. He released the video the following week. His emotion being live were expressed with greater intensity. Also the live show added to the overall message of world peace because the video added the extra story of the children and how they relate.
We are choosing life. 🥰 Thank you for this beautiful heartfelt reaction. You are the young people that will need to reach out with love and openess to those who appear so different to create a better world. I have faith that you are a couple that will represent Dimash well. 🤩🤩🤩 Hugs from a Canadian Dear 🇨🇦
This song is a "modern" multicultural interfaith Requiem (the traditional Requiem is a song for the Mass of the Dead in the Catholic Church. The best known requiem is by Mozart I think). The Requiem usually has 2 parts: one mourning death and the other celebrating life. Dimash says in a low voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. (Kazakh proverb) So for me, the caravan is his (and our) inner world. Religiosity is in us, the religious man dies when a part of the soldier (Dimash) dies when he finds his daughter dead. So when he seeks revenge, there's a storm. Death follows death: Piper dies but the soldier (Dimash) dies too. Death is not the answer. And so violence is not the way (You can murder the "bad guy" but if everybody thinks that violence is an answer, another "bad guy" will appear for sure.) And then we see that his son made a better decision... His son joins others in seeking peace. That is the final answer. Hug from Brazil 😍🇧🇷
The commander is the young boy who saved "Dimash" He was in love with the girl, if you watch back to the beach scene, you see her refuse his advances and run back to "Dimash" which is why he was hesitant to accept the necklace from "Dimash" The little girl who was murdered, was his daughter. His wife, the young girl from the beach, gave birth to his son as he was murdered. The Dimash you see at the end is his son.
You're right my lady, that is the story that Dimash want to says. Very smart lady, understand the whole story. The first reactor that I saw who understand at the first reaction.
I'm so thrilled to watch reactors that actually UNDERSTAND the video and the message from Dimash!!!!! I've watched this so many times and every time I do my eyes out! Thank you so much for this AMAZING reaction! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your reaction is as powerful as the message of the video and the voice of Dimash. It was indeed an intelligent reaction. You deserve a subscription and "LIKE"A button. See you on your next Dimash reaction.
Congrats on the reaction! Well, some considerations: (1) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time); (2) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the rats with his magic flute and drowning them in the Weser, the artist went to collect the amount owed (one coin per head) and was not paid (they alleged that he did not present the "heads" of the rats). He then hypnotized one hundred and thirty children from the city of Hamelin and locked them in a cave. Yeah, well, the "pied piper" (also called "ratcatcher") has become synonymous with the tyrant who uses a mesmerizing speech and leads to death! (3) The term "Imagine" refers to the song of the same name by John Lennon; (4) The final text is part of the document generated at the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) on 09/14/2022 and was attended by Pope Francis, representing the Catholic Church and who presented Dimash, on the occasion, with a medal of gratitude.
The young girl killed by the soldier was Dimash's daughter in the film. The commander was Dimash's character's friend on the beach. The infant boy born at the end is shown later grown up and resembling his father, Dimash, who leads all the other people of various religions at the end of the movie.
By saving Dimash at the beginning, the future commander provided the means for his own karmic reckoning. It has been pointed out that the metal piece on the necklace is the part of a sand dial that casts the shadow that tells the time. When it was handed to him, he bent it out of shape. The more you watch it, the more things you see. The written statement at the end was from a conference of world religions held in Kazakhstan, where Dimash performed this piece, and was given a commemorative award by Pope Francis.
Yes bro, your beauty is right. In the clip at the beginning, Dimash saved a boy who started a war as an adult, and Dimash's daughter died because of it. And secondly, this song including the clip from "a" to "z" was created by Dimash
Great reaction to a great video. Although Dimash kills his friend the general in this video, I don't think Dimash is advocating that we assassinate our leaders when they lead in wrong directions. To me this video shows that the killing of the general only led to the death of Dimash. The song says over and over that when our leaders are failing we stop following them. A leader with no followers isn't a leader any longer. Of course this is not always possible in certain situations, but when possible it should be the preferred action. If we stop following bad leaders when they are at a low level of leadership, perhaps we can stop them from ever having a high level of leadership. I wonder what would have happened if Dimash had spoken to his old friend. If he had shown him how what he was doing was destroying the very people he supposedly wanted to give the world to. Very likely it would have been too late to change his mind, but I still wonder. Sometimes a friend can reach an otherwise unreachable person. 🇨🇦
If this video doesn't/song grab your soul and make you rethink your life and how your living there is no help for you ... Bawling mess everytime I watch jt
You are totally right. For me also is fascinating how he compose this piece and wrote the script of the movie the way it is as the perfect soundtrack. Regarding killing Piper I think was bad thing but only possible to stop the war madness. Also pilgrimers go through the storm then. But the next generation can go united under One Sky in the future.
Imagine what we could do if the resources (human, money, nature) employed in fighting with each others was used to tackle, poverty, disease, climate, etc.
The song 'SOS d'un terrien en détresse' is originally from the French - Canadian rock opera 'Starmania'. It was written by Luc Plamondon and Michel Berger, especially for the French singer/songwriter Daniel Balavoine, 1978. Balavoine tragically died in a helicopter crash in Mali, north-west Africa in 1986, January 14, only 33 years old.
Dimash filmed this video for 3 years; He himself is a composer, screenwriter and actor. He presented it at the World Congress of Religions. For this video, Pope Francis awarded Dimash a medal! Dimash also received a medal for his acting talent. in China as the best performer in Asia. And the Malaysian medal for his contribution to the arts. In China, their first album went platinum in 37 seconds, and after 1 hour - triple platinum. During the sale of tickets for his concert in New York, there were so many applicants that the server froze
No matter how many times I watch this video, it literally squeezes my heart, it’s so incredibly powerful. Beautiful reaction, as always, and yes this is completely a different level, Dimash also wrote the script, a massive 3 year project, Dimash’s composition and idea, once again being an Ambassador of Peace. Thank you both for sharing your thoughts, the live performance in Almaty is even more emotional and you wouldn’t think that was possible.
💥35K people from 68 countries💥came together in love, in solidarity, in peace in an Almaty, KZ stadium on 9-23-22 for the 3 1/2 hours long concert (now available on DQ's official YT channel in 3 Parts of the televised version originally broadcast on 12-31-22 on KZ TV) given by the young Kazakh musician whose divine voice touches souls & changes hearts. Below please read the brief speech that DQ gave to the audience before singing his newest composition, "The Story of One Sky" which will give you a better understanding of the song and Dimash's intentions. Sending this to you & yours, Dear, with Much Love, Solidarity while Praying for Peace. 🙏☮️🙏🕊️🙏✌️🙏 "Many thanks dear friends, before I perform the next song, let me say a few words. Thank you very much. We, the people sitting in this stadium, each of us is different, not totally alike one another, but we are all God's children, each of us with different talents. And, as I mentioned just now, right now is a bad time. In fact, I am not satisfied with the present situation. I have not seen how such situations evolved in the past, therefore I don't know what will happen next. But many people are suffering today because of a few individuals, it's really true. We, we the adults, consider ourselves to be "smarter" than the small children and innocents, but while we do our best to teach and educate our children, we forget that we also have some things to learn from those children. They are pure-hearted, kind, friendly, untainted and without egos and their love for people are pure. Young children have such qualities. I started writing this song I'm about to perform, three years ago. Generally speaking, my main purpose in writing this work is to call for peace in the world. It's a small composition that has burst out from deep within my heart. To tell you truth, many thanks to god and with your wishes I traveled to many parts of the world and met many different people during my tours. One thing I understood is that if you look at ordinary people, there is no such thing as a bad nationality, there is no bad nationality! I don't need to tell you what you already know about the reason for mentioning the topic of nationality here... Let there be peace in the world, Let there be peace. Let there be no war. Let no people, let no nationality, let no country suffer! Because after all, ordinary individuals, ordinary people are not at fault. The truth of the matter is, no ordinary person is guilty of starting a war! That's why the next song I'll be performing in your honor is about our common fate under one sky, it's called "The Story of One Sky". Hope you like it." ~Dimash Qudaibergen~ ~Stranger World Tour~ ~Almaty, KZ. 9-23-22~ PS: This incredible masterpiece of DQ's was nominated for consideration in the CPIFF in the category of "Stunning Eclectic Mix" and the film festival was held in March in London & while it did not win maybe it our own fault b/c it seems to me that after we all saw the premiere of this MV what did we do? The Dears have helped keep DQ high in the charts of the International Billboard and promote him on their own local radio stations plus the Dears in Mexico has DQ playing on their transit lines like subways and other places. We really should be taking our own individual steps to promote DQ to all outlets any of us can think of. If not enough people know of him, how can they demand he be played, be brought to our towns, be seen in our theaters, etc. We need to be marketing DQ so he gets the accolades he deserves! PSS! he and his brother released their joint effort called "Together" written by his DQ's younger brother Mansur, and sung by the greatest singer alive: DQ! I am uncertain when the MV they recently filmed will be released but hope you're there for it! It's going to be fantastic! It was first sung LIVE at Almaty. PSSS: the best LIVE version of this phenomenal song can be found 10 minutes in to Part 3 of his Almaty concert held on 9-23-22 and shown on KZ TV on 12-31-22 then uploaded to his official YT channel in 3 Parts.I would have loved to have been present for! Dimash is the greatest of all musical experiences. 😊
@TheCoupleCrib IDK why this comment isn't being allowed unless it's tacked onto a different comment and hope it works this time. 🎆~••~🎆 Thanks very much for your thoughtful reaction, Dears! 🕊 Please consider reacting to the LIVE performance of this masterpiece that includes the speech he gave to the audience prior to singing it that I'm sharing in s separate comment 👼 You'll be blown away! 😇Happy Healthy New Year🎉 all year long to you and yours, Dears! My response focuses on a heartbroken, frustrated & downright angry young man's urgent 🆘 message, not the phenomenal vocals he ordinarily is lauded for as this is what Dimash has instructed us to do, as well as, to promote it by sharing it far & wide & no one will not be allowed to react and/or share this one! My understanding is that there will be no blocking by him or his team! If you are blocked please let me know. DQ wants it shared and a global dialogue to ensue on how to establish & keep a "World Without War!" There's a lot to unpack & dependent upon a person's frame of reference, their interpretation of the video & DQ's message will undoubtedly be colored by their own preconceptions & life experiences, etc. My interpretation of his message this far is as follows: DQ's phenomenal 9-23-22 Almaty live performance of this composition and this MV are prophetic masterpieces of transcendental pro-planet/antiwar art activism & downright spiritual experiences wherein Dimash issues a sincere, passionate yet, heartbreaking call to action to "learn to love" one another again as we were taught as children & to stop --- all conflicts, all aggression, all wars --- for the real fight before us requires us to unite globally & engage in the fight to save our Mother Earth, "the sacred womb" from which all life sprung! Let us shun our "failing [self-serving Pied] Piper leaders" whose lunacy continues to lead us all to our mutual ruin & destruction by ignoring our species' fate as the "tightening noose" of climate change, hunger, poverty perpetually worsens whilst our "crazy leaders" instead waste precious time, limited resources & countless lives by choosing to "lead us to the slaughter" of these senseless, endless wars! Billions of lives STOLEN Billions of cells UNBORN Billions of souls FALLEN Billions of dreams UNREALIZED The verse that states we must "learn to share again the love, not shares" I believe means we must re-learn how to share our love in real time, person-to-person via one-on-one human connection in meaningful ways thru in-person acts of kindness such as compassionately, caring for the actual basic human needs of others or those that are emotional or physical in nature; all of which builds strong friendships, communities, nations and even friendships between nations unlike the superficial virtual "shares" that may be important only to one person's social media status & very well imaginary. DQ asks us to "learn to live again" as "we have passed the moment of "Imagine" (which is clearly a reference to Lennon's iconic song written of the utopia he dreamed of) & the "world as the feast" I believe means we as a species have caused so much irreparable damage to the planet resulting in droughts & famine that we are long passed former times of plenty & now must work very hard together to overcome our limited, finite resources or "Do we have to starve?" I feel as if DQ is asking us "what's it going to take" for us to "WAKE UP?" Children are (and have long been) dying of famine NOW. Further, DQ proclaims THIS is OUR LAST CHANCE, and that we must immediately act as there's "not a moment to lose" before either the Earth implodes or some crazed "Pied Piper" releases nuclear Armageddon upon the world! #TimesUp #ItsTimeToSaveTheEarth All I can say for certain is DQ's awesome LIVE and MV performances of this incredible composition of his has created the global dialogue seeking to understand it, each other and ourselves and has done more to promote a culture of tolerance he speaks of in his message at the end of the video than any other artistry I've witnessed in my 64 years of walking the planet! 🌏💚 He's successfully started the convo and it is up to us to keep it going by spreading this video & respectfully engaging with any & all so that we might unite in our common desire for peace under our shared one sky, Dears! You must watch this MV with an open mind & heart coming from a mindset of love & solidarity. I don't share the majority's view that Dimash survives nor is that his grownup baby born as he died at the end of the video. The video's progression follows the song's & builds in intensity as the pilgrims of all faiths continue their march upwards on a parallel spiritual plane & climaxes as the pilgrims experience a physical struggle with nature in the form of intense storm similar to the spiritual storm DQ experiences with the murder of his beloved daughter that is more than he can bear & his choice to seek revenge against his former friend who had long ago saved his life but who had chosen a dark & evil path. It is only after he has purged his spirit of the desire for revenge & killed his enemy (who had indeed become the enemy of humanity) & then DQ himself was subsequently killed by enemy soldiers did DQ's character's soul scream out from his watery grave that humanity has only one choice and #WeReChoosingLife !! In death his spirit joins the other spiritual pilgrims in their ascension to the One God we've all worshipped in our own ways through our own religions guided by our own prophets ever since the beginning of Creation. The journey for DQ & his fellow seekers continues on as what appears to be the morning of a hopeful new day is dawning. His infant child remains in the material world left only with his mother's talisman yet grows into a prophet who leads the people to peace, according to the music video's director; a theme that is not in conflict with my understanding of DQ's character's spiritual journey. Listen as Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, Christian voices intertwine into the One Voice that sings our shared Prayer to the One God. DQs virtuosity is spiritual in nature; he touches souls and changes hearts with his divine vocals. We must awaken spiritually. We must raise our collective human consciousness, unite, be as ONE --- live and let live --- & understand our shared fate under our shared sky. "Can we balance on the edge of a fiery grave" with all these competing self-interests & is it even possible to save our future on this planet? To avert our own extinction & achieve that utopian peace we all desperately need to survive as a species so that we might enjoy peaceful, prosperous lifetimes for ourselves & future generations, DQ begs us to #ChooseLife UNITE! Dimash is a empathetic, lyrical genius whose virtuosity serves as a conduit for the pure & wondrous light of Heaven as well as the pain & suffering of our human Hells-on-Earth (many of our own making); he is the most excellent ambassador for a peaceful planet & our survival we could ever envision in his childlike altruistic nature & unconditional love. #WeAreChoosingLife ☸✡☪✝🕉☯☮ #SaveTheEarth 🌏🌍🌎#SaveAllChildren
One of the many things that I got from this is that here you have two men who were best friends as children, with one saving the other's life, and they become enemies in war. War is such a waste of time, money and life. And for what? So someone with a huge, twisted ego can be more powerful? And who pays for this person's ego? The little guy, of course.
This is by far the best explanation I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober: This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, (the taller child) who later becomes the military commander, never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, (the drowning boy), gives his friend the pendant. The camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl (later Dimash's Wife and the mother of his daughter who is killed). Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. We must find better ways to keep evil in check. iowaculture.gov/.../american-troops-move-through The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and birth are both sacraments and are interwoven in the tapestry of life. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffets the pilgrims and hinder progress. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. His soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. As the hymn tells us: "Let there peace in the world, and let it begin with me." Baraka Bashad.
I wish there was an option to 'Love' your comment... or to say 'Wow'! Thank you for this. You have beautifully expressed my own path in life, and I resonate with every word. I appreciate your interpretation of the symbolism within Dimash's 'masterpiece' and everyone's input here. I have been working diligently on my own 'shadows' and reframing old belief systems in my personal life for some years now. And, I maintain that this is the first step for each of us. As we create Peace and Unity within our own lives, we are better able to join with others to bring this awakening to our precious world. And, profound thanks to Dimash. 💜☮💜
Loved your reaction. You completely understood the story and the message. The vocals are incredible but it’s the message that I believe Dimash would like us to concentrate on the most. ❤
You got most of it correct, except that the Dimash figure at the end is how your sister thought, it is Dimash's baby son that grows up to lead all the different religions and cultures into the light of peace and Life. What a powerful statement from Dimash. Love from a Disciple of Dimash, Los Angeles Chapter
This really is Dimash's masterpiece. It's heart-wrenching and so important. All should see & understand this important message. Thank you for your brilliant reaction. 😊❤
More movie details: (1) The three (children) and the two boys disputed the girl's attention; (2) The character (which Dimash represents as an adult) created a symbol to confirm friendship between the three, after being saved by his friend; (3) Still in the video we see the girl choose "Dimash" and then they get married and have the little girl (who was killed) as a daughter and the mother is pregnant with another boy; (4) The older boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general; (5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family; (6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend; (7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life; (8) Dimash's wife is welcomed by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special; (9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place, of tolerance, respect and acceptance.
the film is based on a story written by Dimash with his own screenplay. (I worked on this piece for 3 years). Director Alina Veripya spoke about creating the music video for the new song: the clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character, two friends linked by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in these children's story, where the boys love one girl and she chooses one. The second goes through a kind of psychological The disintegration and transformation of children's problems into an adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. When he becomes a commander, the opponent carries the idea of saving the war: the young boy who presents the tokens of friendship he made will marry the girl (Dimash). She will give birth. A baby girl (murdered) and a mother waiting for another baby. Friends were scattered, and the third friend became an enemy, friends are enemies, because of the war, It is shocking how the cry of true helplessness of a father embracing his murdered daughter is practically coupled with the cries of a woman in labor who brings a child into the traumatized world of soldier (Dimash). That he was searching for his family and that he had found the dead body of his daughter and I think believing that his pregnant wife had also died, and felt the death of life, he decides, as the only way out in that moment of uncontrollable pain is revenge. He killed the evil embodied in his opponent, and then was killed by soldiers' bullets. ,and when Dimash died, his son was born, and the mother died during childbirth. But the boy is saved by his society of different religions and races, he wears his mother's talisman. He will surely grow up and become a messenger of peace on earth, like a worthy son of his father.A symbol of a future without evil, without wars, a world moving towards peaceful coexistence. The light of hope and peace on earth,In a world without walls, without unfair constraints, without differences or contempt for different ethnic groups or nations because the supreme value above all is: love and peace We are all human beings, we share the same planet Earth, and we owe each other as "brothers" the respect for life. In the end, he joined with people of different races and religions from another era that touches the present and the future In a world without walls, without unfair constraints, without differences or contempt for different ethnic groups or nations because the supreme value above all is: love and peace We are all human beings, we share the same planet Earth, and we owe each other as "brothers" the respect for life. ,Piper represents the force Totalitarian, oppressor who is not alien to us and who understands that war is the way to make people free (real nonsense).Piper (is the name of a soldier's opponent, a soldier who only hates, annihilates and destroys. What a paradox for a friend who, in his childhood, saves soldier Dimash from drowning. But life is like this, full of changes, good and bad, Evil, war and contempt happen when we lose love for one another, and our way to God and making peace and love in the world is not difficult but possible if we work together for love and peace and stop wars, hate and contempt. It is about calling for cooperation, to save lives, love, friendship and the land of our children. “Art is a sacred message in life, and these are the true artists.. And the earth needs these reformers in their precious, true and immortal work for the sake of love and peace on earth..Thank God for his gifts
What a production, what a masterpiece, what a powerful message. Only Dimash. We have to choose light and life. We all live under the same sky. Stay safe and healthy, peace from Italy

If you haven’t listened to under one sky being sung by Dimashat the Almaty concert you must. It reinforces how powerful this message is.
Yes, we are under one and we must all work for peace and brotherhood.
- the pendant - it`s the needle, gnomon, of a maritime compass - a symbol for the moral compass or for "following the light".
War is the way to unite people.”
The shape of the pendant, twisted, and missing the hole for the light, also appears on the uniforms of his soldiers.
- Dimash and the girl, adults, are husband and wife, they have a daughter, and the wife is pregnant with their second child. Dimash`s character, the Protagonist, also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife and his daughter
- "we have passed the moment of *Imagine* " - reference to John Lennon`s song "Imagine" - we are past the moment when we could afford passively "imagining" a world of peace, with no divisions, "night is falling, fate is tightening the noose", our wrong decisions are catching up to us - and we have to actively change our way of doing things, starting with ourselves, and not passively "imagining a better world"
- the burning sign *Waldenberg* - is a reference to the end of World War II when the US Army destroyed the last resistance of the German Wehrmacht to end the war in 1945. The city Waldenberg was completely destroyed. Many of the people killed in the bombed buildings were women and children. Evil was defeated, but at a very high price
- the pilgrim falling (pilgrims who symbolize the spiritual journey of humanity) : at the moment when Dimash finds his daughter killed - the moment of danger of losing faith along the path, due to pain experienced in life.
A second meaning of the placement of the phrase, and a harder one : on the verge of his heart stirring with the most grueling pain, the phrase almost sounds like the voice of God Himself, warning him about the decision of revenge that his heart is about to make
- the *shofar* - the horn that is blown by one of the pilgrims - The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humanity when it passes from evil to good: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and thus mercy is awakened and judgment is removed (youtube user : Heiderose Kober)
In the face of the consequences of their wrong choices (after the darkest moment of discovering the little girl killed) people repent, the pilgrim in the symbolical parallel blows the shofar, and God`s mercy pours over humanity, and assists the woman giving birth, giving Man yet another chance at new life, and better choices.
- the storm - the old way of "an eye for an eye" and it`s toll on the human soul is reflected by the storm that threatens to scatter the pilgrims and slows down their ascent, with the strong wind blowing in their face, and with the fog that clouds their vision - at the moment when Dimash kills the General in revenge for his daughter
- the child born receives the pendant (compass) around his neck after Dimash`s conscience, in one final scream, "chooses life", despite all the violence, intentional and non-intentional, his character ultimately holds on to the decision that life is most precious.
(Genesis)
After the horror and the pain, that last scene and the resolving chords make that feeling of a gentle breeze (and God`s Grace) so palpable, it`s extraordinary..
For a moment, it reminds palpably to humanity the alternative that is "following the Light".
The official statement about this piece : " *This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children* "
Also : " *No sacred book calls for the destruction of people. We must learn to be friends; it is impossible for a few adults to cause millions of children to suffer. The future of our planet, the future of people is in our hands, let there be peace in the world. We are children of one Home, one Earth and one Heaven* "
It all rests upon how we respond to what happens in our life.

All United in death going toward the light of our One creator. WHY wait until you are already gone to have peace..such a tragedy.
Dimash is a leader that all should imitate.

Greetings from Florida, USA! Thanks for giving the world Dimash and his family!!❤❤
i see this MV many times and still makes me emotional bowerful song it's composed by him 😢😢
Thanks for your reactions 😊😊
You must see the live profomec to this song its amazing
This masterpiece has shaken all of us, it is a plea for peace, Dimash scream is a desperate call to think for ourselves and change our sad destiny if we continue to follow mistaken leaders or symbols that just divide us and have made us lose the horizon. Love is the answer to live a better and fair life for everybody. What a pain to see us, as humanity, reflected in this MV. 🥹🥲🌹💔🎤🔝
“The Story of One Sky” was composed by Dimash and the script of the MV was written by him also.
Saludos
The live performance where he premiered the music is a shorter by more intense version done at the Almaty concert. He released the video the following week. His emotion being live were expressed with greater intensity. Also the live show added to the overall message of world peace because the video added the extra story of the children and how they relate.
Usually Dimash sings of his love for love. This song, Simash sings of his hate for hate.
Congratulations! One of the best reactions to this that I’ve seen! You’re right in calling it a masterpiece …
"""""Farinelli, Klaus Nomy. Bowie, Fredy Mercury, Kate Bush Monserrat Caballet, Pavarotti all in one person. Dimash"""""""Best singer alive."""""
(Kazakh proverb)
So for me, the caravan is his (and our) inner world.
Dimash worked in this Project for 3 years. He composed the song, wrote the script and produced this beautiful video.Dimash Masterpiece👍👏👏👏🥰
Dimash is the best. Genus such a great artist ❤❤ this is such a beautiful song🙌🙌
Dimash Is the king, Is the best!!! React to Sky... In live.
Please react Dimash El amor en ti, live from Almaty concert.Thank you🥰💚💛🇧🇷🇧🇷
The young girl killed by the soldier was Dimash's daughter in the film.

THE STORY OF ONE SKY LIVE ALMATY CONCERT IN KAZAJISTÁN PART 3 MINUTE 25 IS AMAZING 🇪🇦🤘🙏
But the next generation can go united under One Sky in the future.
..Correctly. surely war will never unite people. Just Pure Love for life as such.
🍀💙
Imagine what we could do if the resources (human, money, nature) employed in fighting with each others was used to tackle, poverty, disease, climate, etc.
The song 'SOS d'un terrien en détresse' is originally from the French - Canadian rock opera 'Starmania'. It was written by Luc Plamondon and Michel Berger, especially for the French singer/songwriter Daniel Balavoine, 1978.
Balavoine tragically died in a helicopter crash in Mali, north-west Africa in 1986, January 14, only 33 years old.

Believe it or not, the live version is even more impressive in my opinion. You are definitely going to want to check it out. Peace from Pennsylvania.
Perfect reaction 👌
Dimash filmed this video for 3 years; He himself is a composer, screenwriter and actor. He presented it at the World Congress of Religions. For this video, Pope Francis awarded Dimash a medal! Dimash also received a medal for his acting talent. in China as the best performer in Asia. And the Malaysian medal for his contribution to the arts. In China, their first album went platinum in 37 seconds, and after 1 hour - triple platinum. During the sale of tickets for his concert in New York, there were so many applicants that the server froze
Dimash worked for 3 years in this oroject. He composed the music, wrote the script and produced the MV. He is a genius. 🥰💚💛🇧🇷🇧🇷
🌷🌷💕👍👍👏👏 You are do right! To say that it’s a masterpiece is an understatement! Thank you!
🙏☮️🙏🕊️🙏✌️🙏
"Many thanks dear friends, before I perform the next song, let me say a few words.
We, we the adults, consider ourselves to be "smarter" than the small children and innocents, but while we do our best to teach and educate our children,
we forget that we also have some things to learn from those children.
Hope you like it."

PS: This incredible masterpiece of DQ's was nominated for consideration in the CPIFF in the category of "Stunning Eclectic Mix" and the film festival was held in March in London & while it did not win maybe it our own fault b/c it seems to me that after we all saw the premiere of this MV what did we do?
🎆~••~🎆
Thanks very much for your thoughtful reaction, Dears!
DQ wants it shared and a global dialogue to ensue on how to establish & keep a "World Without War!"
There's a lot to unpack & dependent upon a person's frame of reference, their interpretation of the video & DQ's message will undoubtedly be colored by their own preconceptions & life experiences, etc. My interpretation of his message this far is as follows:
DQ's phenomenal 9-23-22 Almaty live performance of this composition and this MV are prophetic masterpieces of transcendental pro-planet/antiwar art activism & downright spiritual experiences wherein Dimash issues a sincere, passionate yet, heartbreaking call to action to "learn to love" one another again as we were taught as children & to stop --- all conflicts, all aggression, all wars --- for the real fight before us requires us to unite globally & engage in the fight to save our Mother Earth, "the sacred womb" from which all life sprung!
Billions of lives STOLEN
Billions of cells UNBORN
Billions of souls FALLEN
Billions of dreams UNREALIZED
The verse that states we must "learn to share again the love, not shares" I believe means we must re-learn how to share our love in real time, person-to-person via one-on-one human connection in meaningful ways thru in-person acts of kindness such as compassionately, caring for the actual basic human needs of others or those that are emotional or physical in nature; all of which builds strong friendships, communities, nations and even friendships between nations unlike the superficial virtual "shares" that may be important only to one person's social media status & very well imaginary.
#TimesUp #ItsTimeToSaveTheEarth
All I can say for certain is DQ's awesome LIVE and MV performances of this incredible composition of his has created the global dialogue seeking to understand it, each other and ourselves and has done more to promote a culture of tolerance he speaks of in his message at the end of the video than any other artistry I've witnessed in my 64 years of walking the planet!

A story for all of us
This is by far the best explanation I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober:
This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action.
Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.”
Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine.
Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious.

(9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place, of tolerance, respect and acceptance.
the film is based on a story written by Dimash with his own screenplay.
